Disappointed with room

The hotel was obviously being refurbished when we visited. I wish I had known that when booking the hotel. Considering it is in the North Dallas area, I would certainly expect more. Was pretty disappointed.

Worn and Dated

The lobby here is really nice however the rooms are worn and dated. Beds are like a rock. This is the third time we have stayed there and each time we say we won't come back for the same reason and keep forgetting until we pull up there. It is LOUD! Every time. The walls are paper thin or it wouldn't be a problem. We have been there there when they have LSU games and this last time was a National Guard convention. I am a retired Marine so I have no problem with the partying and drinking. You have people very drunk banging around down the hallways at all hours of the night. Again normally not a problem but you hear everything here. The hallways stink. They are moldy smelling. The wallpaper on the walls are peeling and very worn. The lobby has been given a facelift, the rooms and hallways need one. This is not what I have come to expect at Crowne Plaza. I waited 30 minutes in the bar for a drink, they did not have any Kahlua. The bartender did not know how to make the drink but she was friendly and nice and we had a good time while I taught her to make a Colorado Bulldog. The 2 bartenders were the only highlight of the stay they were really friendly and nice.

Over All Excellent Experience

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean, great location, pool and water slide, good breakfast, fast paced. Nice meeting room and the spaghetti was excellent. Lots of amenities close by. Close to good shopping, get to see the train from one end of the hotel but not hear it. Rooms are beautiful, beds are comfy. Would recommend to anyone looking to get good value for the price paid.

Little gem at the coast

My husband is an education consultant for eastern counties in NC. I always tag along when possible to those locations near the coast. This HI Express is a treasure. Very clean, friendly staff, great rates, and comfortable room. What more can you ask for?

The hotel is located five blocks from Tropicana Field, home to the Tampa Bay Rays

Great suite and excellent staff

The suite I stayed in (single king bed) was fantastic. A bit larger than I expected, which is never a bad thing. The room, kitchen, and bathroom were all very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Big windows let in plenty of light, which definitely helps the hotel to feel a bit more like home. Before this stay, I had never heard of Staybridge Suites, but now I'll look for them first. Can't think of anything that wasn't excellent about my stay there.
