Average Stay Experience

Over the years i have stayed in lots of IHG properties and any time i needed extended checkout it was never an issue except this time. They don't give you option for extended stay ... for members this was usually a normal thing and we were only asking for 1hr extra which was not extended.
AC in the room, had some issue with sensor so when as we have set it to a certain temp and fan at auto, it should stop when lower than that temp ... but it didn't and will keep on running so got extremely cold in middle of night and i had to get up and stop it .... after a while it becomes issue with air suffocation so have to get up and start it again ....
Front desk also failed to let me know of breakfast time and we ended up missing that .... so all in all a bad experience.

Poor Experience

So many issues with recent stay at this hotel. The room was really hot and even though we set it to cool at the coldest level, the lowest it ever got the whole night was 75 degrees. Which made sleeping and relaxing very difficult. There were issues with the remote as well.
When we arrived (3 people), the front desk lady gave us 1 cookie and said thanks for being a reward member. Too cheap to give a cookie per customer?
I came down to the front desk to ask the lady a question after checking in, and she was texting/playing on her phone. I told her I had a question. She said hold on one minute, then proceeded to be on her phone for a bit and then took my question. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she was doing work related things on her phone, but I thought an in-person customer would be a higher priority? I felt this was poor customer service.
When we were leaving the room, one of the housekeepers asked us how our stay was. We told her it wasn't good because the room wouldn't get lower than 75 degrees. Her response was 'well you are in South Carolina!'. I thought this was also poor customer service. She was basically dismissing our complaint. I stayed in a hotel in Death Valley last year, it was 30 degrees warmer outside, and yet the room cooled much lower than this place, so I don't accept the whole 'this is South Carolina' response. Another example of poor customer service.
The hotel also smelled of smoke.

Holiday Inn® Lancaster hotel is just off the M6, with easy access to the Lake District. The shops and attractions of Lancaster are a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, leave the car in the hotel's free car park and catch a bus to the town centre from the stop outside the hotel. Lancaster Station is served by direct trains to Manchester. Blackpool Airport (BLK) is 40 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The hotel is just 20 minutes' drive from the scenic Lake District National Park. A 10-minute drive from the hotel, the 12th-century Lancaster Castle is surrounded by parkland. Nearby, the riverside Lancaster Maritime Museum occupies a former warehouse. Morecambe Bay, 20 minutes' drive from the hotel, offers coastal walks and seafront cafés. Lancaster University is easily accessible and only a 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.

This is the first time I’ve experienced this kind of issue with IHG and Hotel Indigo. I booked through a third party, however, when I got to the hotel I was charged again for the same reservation and also another costly charge to my room on top of incidentals. This was very frustrating and has put me over and in debt with my credit card company. Now, I have to wait for my money until they hopefully correct these charges. The guy at the desk was the only person who seemed willing to assist with correcting the problem. No one seemed to know why or how it happened nor did they show a sense of urgency to help. It didn’t make much sense as to why so many different charges totaling $700.00 or so were being filed to both of my cards from this hotel. I’m not sure if I will stay with Hotel Indigo again because of this inconvenience.

Lack of true hospitality

As an IHG employee, I booked accommodation for me and family visiting from overseas. I wanted to treat them to a special experience. From the check-in experience to the complete lack of communication throughout my stay and overall service it was a disaster. I understand policies in regards to discounts and even breakfast not being included although advertised in the app. But the lack of empathy from Bruce as Duty manager and other staff members is really disappointing. I can more than understand the policy but the embarrassment I faced infront of family members was nothing short of the complete opposite of what the IHG brand stands for. I hope this feedback is seriously addressed as the property itself is beautiful.

Comfortable Bed

I enjoyed the opportunity to visit NYC again. I've stayed at this hotel before but after this last stay, I won't again. Some staff weren't as hospitable or professional as there were a few things we encountered that were within staff's control that could've been handled better and in a more expeditious way. Other staff were friendly and provided guidance and communication which I'm big on. Overall, I got through my birthday weekend, but was disappointed by this experience with the hotel.

A friendly, contemporary Harlow hotel near Stansted Airport and trains to Central London
Set in the thriving town of Harlow on the border of Essex and Hertfordshire, Holiday Inn Express® Harlow hotel is 15 miles from Stansted Airport , with easy access to the M11 motorway. Harlow Town Station is a 20-minute walk away, where you can take a 35-minute train ride to London Liverpool Street Station or catch the Stansted Express to the airport. Starts at the front desk staff

My over all experience was fair at best. A few of the staff members were excellent. However you have a few that need additional training.
The suites were comfortable but nothing special. They offer 2 types of suites according to the GM. It is the luck of the draw on which type you will get. The hotel doesn't guarantee
any specific suite type. Simply you will be guaranteed a suite. Some have balconies some don't. Some have the bathroom sink inside the bathroom some have the sink right outside the bathroom. Some suites have large showers some don't. You don't know which type of suite you will get assigned until you reach your suite.

There weren’t enough staff working to run the basics of the hotel. This is a corporate IGH issue, pay people more so your hotels can hire and keep staff.
