Dirty rooms

Room was dirty and needed major attention. Tv was very old. Remote barely worked. Toilet paper was not new or refilled. It had half empty tubes. Run as clogged and collected water. Super disgusting!

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Atlanta East-Lithonia . Ideally located 20 minutes east of Atlanta, the Holiday Inn Express and Suites is close to many of Atlanta's attractions. Absolutley avoid!!

This was by far the worst hotel experience period. The elevator is inoperable. Ice and vending machines missing from floors. Staff too busy playing on their cell phones, unprofessional staff. Charged my card an extra $50, called back for an explanation, no answer and all extensions voicemails are full. Will never stay there again. Avoid!

Poor Customer Service

Needed some documents printed for work. Stafff referred me to the business center. I’m unable to log into my email from a public computer. Explained this to them. They refused to print any documents for me. This is my 56 day in 2025 at an ihg property, first hotel to refuse printing documents. It was 6 pages. Didn’t help problem solve, said sorry, we don’t do that here.

Very good hotel poor check-in front desk

Check-in process was horrible needs to improve . They couldn’t assign a key to me, had to wait for 15 mins or more. No acknowledgement to the delays caused. Assigned a room that was under someone else’s name I did not realize this until I checked out.

Five minutes' walk from Norwich International Airport , Holiday Inn® Norwich - North hotel is 15 minutes' drive from the city centre. Alternatively, leave the car in the hotel car park, where parking is available for a small fee, and walk to the nearby Park and Ride stop for a bus into town, where Norwich station is served by direct trains to London. Park, Stay & Go packages are available. The 12th-century Norwich Cathedral , with its soaring spire, and the masterpieces at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts are both 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. Outdated Property but decent service

Property is in dire need of redecoration. Typical IHG breakfast that was good but the chairs in the dining area were so soiled it was disgusting. Pool and sauna were nice but close at 7:30 on Sat night. Good location for bus service into town.

Too Many Issues

I typically don't write bad reviews, because I know things happen sometimes, but there were just too many issues with my stay to chalk it up as a rare occurrence.
Cons:
- uninformed staff (not offered welcome amenities until I asked, not told breakfast hours or wifi password)
- equipment issues (only 1 functional elevator, room phone to call front desk was not working)
- drain flies in my room
Pros:
- comfortable bed
- spacious room
- friendly staff

Negligent and Safety issues

Staff were negligent and put my safety and my belongings at risks for theft, as well as put my health at risk.
1. I asked for feather free room because I am allergic. However, when I got to my room it was not defeathered. Due to the line being so long (took minimum half an hour to get checked in and to my room), and you all not having any other rooms that I could be moved to, I slept without pillows and asked in the morning for housing keeping cleaning my room and remove the feathered pillows and bring new ones. I had to ask 4 times for my room to be cleaned and defeathered. My room was never de-feathered or cleaned, the best I got was replacement of pillows. But that did not happen until I complained multiple times, and even then, they left feathered pillows in the room. So I brought it to the front desk.
2. My company provided a card authorization form for the room, and my card was to be used only for incidentals. When I checked in, I said that my card was only for incidentals, however your team charged my card the full amount for the stay, and my bank declined it as fraud and I had to contact my bank to make sure my card did not get cancelled while I am on a business trip. I called and spoke with Frank at the front desk and he said that he would take care of it. However, at 4:30am, it happened again, and I got another fraud alert stating that you all are attempting to charge my card. When I called to speak to the woman at the front desk, she said I had to call back after 7am and speak to someone on the morning shift and was not helpful at all. I spoke with Frank again and he said that you all made one charge and that it would be reversed and shouldn’t have happened. My issue is, why am I being charged when I am still in the middle of my stay and you all have a card authorization on file and a different card on file that is supposed to be charged for the room? My company called again and verified that you all had the card that should be charged, and Desmon stated that it was on the account and that I shouldn’t be getting charged and that other charged should have never happened. So what is going on?
3. When I returned on Wednesday from working all day, I get a call from a woman (I cannot remember her name) stating that my reservation ended on the 9th and that I needed to come down to the lobby to address the issue. I booked my reservation over a month ago for 4/8-4/12. So after working 9 hours, needing to take a nap (but cant because my room never was de-feathered) and shower and change before another evening meeting, I have to go down stairs and address another mistake that you all made. Although my reservation was reinstated, my question again is what is going on with you all? There was no explanation other than the system kicked me out.
4. And to top it off, after working an 11 hour day, I get back to my room tonight, and my housekeeping left my DOOR OPEN! To come back to my room, with my door open, with my personal belongings in it, including laptop and jewelry, my medication, and clothing, is completely RIDICULOUS! And no I did not leave it open, because it was clear that someone from housekeeping poorly cleaned my room. My bed was made and this time they took the trash out however they did not take all the dirty towels, they didn’t restock the coffee or tea, and the shower still looked dirty. The general cleanliness of this room and hotel is disgusting. I had ants. There werestains. The tv barely worked, and the AC/Heater unit didnt work properly.
Anyone could have come in my room and stolen my belongings because of the negligence of your staff. Also, it is a safety issue, for your staff to not make sure, that they close the doors of the guest! When I got back and saw my door open (which I have a witness because a colleague walked me to my room and waited for me to check to make sure no one was in it before they left), I called the front desk and complained and they said they were going to have the housekeeping manager call me back. I waited for half an hour and no one called me. Then when I called the front desk back no one answered. I called 3 times from my room and no one answered. I didn’t get an answer until I called from my cell phone and asked to speak with a manager. The fact that staff is now avoiding me, even though I have not raised my voice, I have not cussed at them, I have been as patient and calm and have given quiet a bit of grace and this is ridiculous.

Hotel needs updating

As part of my booking it is requested to not have a room on the ground floor. Upon checking in this is where I was placed and requested if I could move to another room. I was then put in a room on the 2nd floor that smelt damp, and I could see water marks on the wall from the clinging. after a couple of hours in the room I was suffering with my chest, sinuses and breathing so asked if I could move room, which was not possible due to being fully booked. I have to move to a holiday inn express in Milton Keynes, which also had the M1 closed so took nearly 40 mins. And did not get to the hotel until nearly 11.30pm! I then returned to the hotel and was kindly offered an exec room. Although large it was still very dated and window was partially open but blocked to be able to close/open it. The room was also opposite the lift so constantly heard a noise until late. Staff were very helpful and tried to help. The hotel needs renovating. I will not be staying here again.

Don’t use Valet or wait in the pregnant woman’s line at front desk

Hotel experience inside was wonderful, housekeeping, room service, event staff, bar staff, amazing. The front desk staff were mixed, there was a blond pregnant woman who was the only reason the internal hotel experience wasn’t 100% - both times we interacted with her were less than pleasant for an unexpected and undeserving attitude, but there were plenty others like Josh and another young man with a name starting with an S who made up for her uncalled for mood.
The most devastating part of our visit was that we used valet and on our second night at the hotel, the car was returned to us at checkout with a nail jammed into the rear bumper, sharp long rusty point coming right out…and when brought up to the attendant AND the valet “supervisor/manager” on the phone while waiting, they could care less. The most he went out of his way to say while he was too busy to care was he could help get someone to start a claim for us if we really needed to…….unacceptable, I agree.
For what it’s worth, I didn’t choose this hotel. I was here with my company for a conference the whole week. Would have checked reviews, as I place weight on the valet reviews - of which, this hotel’s were on point when they called out their horrendous experience…just like mine.
