Our Rochelle, Illinois Hotel's Location is Perfect Located in the "Hub City" near the town's vital railroad system, the Holiday Inn Express® Rochelle hotel is a three-Diamond AAA-rated hotel and the perfect place to stay in Ogle County. Our hotel's property in Rochelle, IL is directly off I-39 and I-88, which means travel is quick and simple when you choose us. Corporate guests are glad to know that they can reserve our 625-sq-ft event room for company board meetings. We also have free high-speed, wired and wireless Internet access and a Business Center with copy and print services on the hotel's property. In addition, Rochelle, Illinois is home to a variety of businesses, such as Allstate, Hormel Foods, Sara Lee and Del Monte Foods, Nippon Sharyo If you have a free afternoon, take an excursion down to the Rochelle Railroad Park for a little train watching. I recommend this IHG with some reservation. My check in experience was horrible! The desk clerk at check-in was a bit rude and not efficient. She either is incapable of doing her job or wasn't trained properly.

Not impressed

Honestly, not a good stay overall. I booked because they offered valet. Upon arrival, I was told that valet was not available. I had to park 5 blocks away for $60 per night. The room does not live up to the expectations. Way too expensive for the accomodations. The lobby and location are nice. Other than that, I would not recommend.
Also, I have not received a refund for the incidentals.

Friendly Staff - Subpar Room

I was very disappointed with my recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Silt/Rifle, Colorado. The biggest issue was the mold we found on the bathroom wall, which was completely unacceptable. It’s clear that proper cleaning and maintenance are not being prioritized.
Beyond that, the room didn’t feel as fresh or well-kept as it should, making for an uncomfortable stay. While the staff was polite, this kind of cleanliness issue is a dealbreaker. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless they make serious improvements.

Don’t try to check in late

I called to let the front desk know that I would be arriving around midnight to prevent any issues. When I arrived around 11:30, the front doors were locked. I rang the doorbell, which made the phone ring at the front desk for a good 5-7 minutes. I had enough time to get frustrated, look up the main number to Holiday Inn and call. The front desk clerk finally came by, with his 2 cups of coffee. He had no apology or anything. He did not tell me about the breakfast or thank me for being a member with some status. I also emailed the general manager (who has a Gmail account on their card?). No response.

Not a good IHG property

I pulled in due to severe weather in the area and driving was dangerous. I was told they only had. King suite which was fine I said I would take it. The carpets in the lobby and the elevators were covered in dried dirt and mud. Got up to the room .. lighting was horrible for the size of the room. Bathroom was dark feeling and dirty . Overall room was not clean and sheets had staining on them. But the worst part was the humidity feeling in the room and then when the rain started coming down heavily it began pouring into the room alongside the windows and the floor became soaked with water. Made sleep pretty much impossible so I eventually just got up. Upon further inspection of the water damage which I took pictures of .. I looked inside the vents on the AC in the window and it was covered inside with dirt and mold. I explained the situation to the front desk when I checked out and they said “sorry about that here’s your receipt” . I’m not asking for a refund .. however .. I would have thought they would’ve discounted the room a bit given the disgusting state of it and then the water and mold issues . This is a pretty hotel so I was surprised it was so gross. Def won’t stay here again which is sad because we had planned on coming back thru on our way to Wakita with our kids this summer. The staff was friendly and welcoming other than that . But this is not up to the standards I’m used to when booking an IHG hotel. I don’t typically worry about booking because I have always had great experiences in your various hotels.

Not worth the money

The room was nice but the front desk staff upon check in was horrible. She didn’t recognize my platinum elite, didn’t make me aware of breakfast (therefore I missed breakfast altogether), acted irritated that she had to deal with me/a patron. I was denied a late check out and when I mentioned I was a platinum elite member it didn’t matter. I’ll never stay here again.
