Locked out of room nightmare

I was locked out of the room I paid for for over 5 hours. I had called the front desk 10 times with no response at all. I had to go through corporate to get anyone to answer. I had an event to attend so I wasn’t able to stay on top of them. I called back 5 hours later and still nothing was fixed. It took me calling that time to have a maintenance guy fix the door. They fixed it at some point but never confirmed that with me. They said they would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Business-friendly hotel close to Lille and the A25 motorway, with free parking and a pool
Just off the A25 motorway, Holiday Inn® Lille - Ouest Englos hotel is 15 minutes' drive from both Lille city centre and Lille Airport.

All Went Well Before the Fall

I visited this hotel last year and I found it kept the standard of services. When I heard that the restaurant was to be closed over weekend it did not surprise me. The bath certainly needed a non-slip mat. I fell off in the final night and fortunately the fall didn't hurt much.

Rude staff asked what my husband’s problem was while with my five year old daughter looking for coffee. Towels were dirty and room was not stocked with items. When asked for these toiletries, they were never given.

For the amount of money you can stay at other hotels and get a better quality of sleep, great customer service, and clean/sanitary rooms. The feel is of that of a retirement home. The ladies at the front desk were fairly nice, however everything outside of checkin will be “above their paygrade”, they “don’t really know”, “google it maybe”.

A family friendly Rochester hotel with a health club, meeting rooms and free parking. Near the M2 motorway, Holiday Inn® Rochester - Chatham hotel is ideally placed for exploring Kent's attractions.The M20 is a short drive away, and you can hop on a bus to be in Rochester or Chatham in 10-15 minutes. Nearby Rochester and Chatham stations have direct trains to London and the coast, and Rochester Airport (RCS) is next to the hotel. While exploring Rochester, check out the Dickens Discovery Room at the historic Guildhall Museum, the ancient cathedral or the looming castle Leeds Castle, with its tranquil gardens and lake, is a 20-minute drive away and keen shoppers are within easy reach of Bluewater Shopping Centre. Our Academy Conference Centre has eight state-of-the-art business suites with private courtyard access, and the Medway City Estate and Gillingham Business Park are close by. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in, we were asked why we hadn't stated that there was a need for a cot in the room on the booking. I told the receptionist that I had attempted to contact the hotel via the phone 4 times on the previous day prior to check in to explain the need for this. It felt like us bringing our child to the hotel was an inconvenience to the staff. We were then told that the pool was out of order which was a huge disappointment as this was one of the reasons we had booked the hotel. This should have been communicated to us when the pool became out of action and before we arrived at the hotel so that we could have looked for alternative accommodation. Then when we ate dinner on the first evening the restaurant wasn't busy - approximately 15 other people in the restaurant. However, it took 30 minutes for our drinks order to be taken after being seated. We were then told there were multiple items on the menu not available. This whole experience was really poor and not what I've come to expect when staying at Holiday Inns. The only positive to take from our stay was the cleanliness of the room.

Very clean hotel!!

This is a brand new hotel. Absolutely perfect cleanliness. It is in a great location. Nice pool area. There is coffee maker available in the room along with complimentary bottled water, which was so nice after a long drive. There is no free breakfast. However, there is a restaurant and a grocery store close by. Very nice hotel!
