The remodeled Holiday Inn Portland- I-5 S (Wilsonville) is the only full-service hotel in Wilsonville, Oregon. It is located off of freeway I-5, between downtown Portland (14 miles) and Woodburn Premium Outlets (15 miles), convenient for accessing business areas of Lake Oswego, Tigard, Sherwood, Tualatin, Aurora, and Canby.
It is an ideal choice for business near corporations such as Mentor Graphics / Siemens, Sysco, Kroger, Coca-Cola, Raytheon / Rockwell Collins, Campbells, TE Connectivity, SSI, 3-D Systems, Foodguys, and Coherent. Leisure travelers enjoy close proximity to Bridgeport Shopping Plaza, Landgon Farms, Postlewait’s Wedding Venue, Aurora Oregon Airport and Oregon Wine Country.
Accommodations offer free fiber optic Wi-Fi, 24 and complimentary parking. Our parking lot is large and can accommodate many trucks with trailers. Each room is equipped with a new mattress, mini-refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and adjustable 43 inch TV.
Stay in, relax, and enjoy a meal from our BooneTown Bistro and Bar. Or, enjoy a workout at our 24-hour fitness center or enjoy a leisurely swim in our heated indoor pool.
The hotel houses the third largest conference center in Washington County, OR. And, we added five new meeting spaces to our venue. The worst IHG hotel room

I've never really had an unbearable experience at an IHG hotel, I basically sleep in my car this was so bad. I wish I could get my money back or something. Things were dirty, uncomfortable, even the coffee lids were gunky and sticky so couldn't even get a decent cup at least. Just awful, only needed one night but, a very expensive lesson learned one night. At least one of the front desk staff tried to be helpful the other had no clue.

An overall terrible experience

From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Holiday Inn Express. Upon arrival the clerk was pleasant enough, but it seemed English was not her primary language and she had to defer to her very busy coworker several times to have my questions answered. That poor guy was doing his best to speak to someone on the phone, help someone at the desk, and help her all at the same time. While standing there I happened to notice another man poking around in what appeared to be the fire alarm box behind the front counter. I didn't think much of this until the following morning.
While checking in I mentioned I needed parking. I had seen the entrance to what I thought was the only parking garage to the right of the front entrance. I had no idea there was a whole other entrance to a rear garage behind the building until I happened to be standing there a short while later while a friend was checking in. I already knew there were no parking spaces left as I had taken the last one in this garage and mentioned this to my friend and the desk agents. They informed him of this rear garage, which I would have much preferred to park in. The garage in the front has two large garage doors, however the one that should be an entrance door is closed with a lot of items stored behind it. This leaves one door for cars both entering and exiting to use. That's incredibly dangerous and inconvenient as it forces cars to have to stop and back up to allow others to pass the opposite direction. Upon entering this garage I found the aforementioned last space. It was incredibly tight and I had to wedge my car in while worrying about it being damaged by others. To add to this frustration, the elevator in the garage was not working so I had to carry our belongings back up the ramp to the side door back into the hotel.
Finally making it to our room on the 15th floor, it appeared fine. After completing the requisite bed bug check and finding all looked good, we got comfortable for a while before heading out for a wedding reception. Returning around 12:30 in the morning, we went to sleep around 1 am. This didn't last long as all night long we could hear doors slamming shut. Why are there no devices installed on these doors to prevent them from slamming? At one point I got up to look out in the hallway, only to be inundated with an incredibly strong smell of marijuana. Finally getting to sleep, that guy poking around in the fire alarm box suddenly made sense when we were rudely awoken by the fire alarm going off. After going off several more times, a voice finally came over the system telling us it was a false alarm. Eventually falling back asleep, we were woken once again by more false alarms. I eventually gave up on sleeping and decided to take a shower.
As this was the first I had looked in the shower, I somehow wasn't surprised to find a bunch of long hairs on the shower wall. There's no way housekeeping should have missed this. Upon stepping one foot into the shower I slid like I was on ice and almost fell. Carefully stepping back in, I found a lot of black dirt washing off the bottom of my feet. Apparently the floors in the room were not nearly as clean as I had thought as this was the only place I had walked around in bare feet. Whatever was on the floor must have been very oily to have made me slide like that. The shower itself was okay, though there wasn't a lot of water pressure and the temperature fluctuated quite a bit.
We never made it to breakfast as we were way too tired from being woken up all night long. But my friend who also stayed there that night informed me later on that he had gone and in his words, "there was pretty much no food at all."
At long last it was time to check out. Upon arriving back at the front desk, the clerk just looked at me without saying anything. I handed her my key without any proper acknowledgement. There was no thank you for staying with us. No offer of a receipt or copy of my bill. And not surprisingly, absolutely no apologies for the shocking fire alarms waking us up numerous times that morning. We gathered our belongings, carried them back down the ramp to the parking garage and carefully made our way out of there.
To be honest, I'm angry about my experience here. This hotel is quite new, but it's certainly been open long enough to have ironed out these issues. I really can't recommend a stay here at this point and I honestly wish I had some recourse to get my money back for my own experience. I will happily patronize other Holiday Inn Express locations (and have done so while leaving glowing reviews), but this was a once and done experience at this one.

Great Location That Needs Some Updating

The hotel is in a great location with direct access to the River Walk. Some aspects of the hotel are getting a bit tired. The fitness center is very small and cramped, and not on par with other modern hotels in this category. Staff was very helpful and customer focused.

Horrible

Would have left zero stars if possible. No one was even at check-in – took 30 minutes and not even an understatement. Ants crawling all over the front desk the whole entire place smelled horrible front desk, even took a photo of my wife after she received the laundry detergent and they were on the phone with someone saying “this is the diamond number“. Stayed here many years ago – not sure what happened here.

Great hotel, beds were comfortable, dining was exceptional, fix holes in front of hotel, overall, the front desk clerk was very helpful with me. Great location, within walking distance to a few dining facilities. Did not use the fitness room, nor the pool area, so cannot comment on those.

False advertisement avoid this hotel

The staff was rude and incompetent. The hotel didn't have a shuttle. The desk clerk told us to walk with our luggage and disabled mom to Holiday Inn and try to use their shuttle or take an Uber. Upon entering the hotel the clerk was sound asleep at the desk. No hot water in our room. The common areas were dirty. The hair dryer wasn't working.

Old and Smelled like smoke

Road noise

Nice hotel, good location, and recently updated. Unfortunately, the windows allowed all the road noise to come into the room at all hours of the night. The hotel is next to Midway airport and I booked to be close for an early flight. I could not get any sleep and ended getting up 5 hours before my flight to head to the airport. The airlines had not started checking in bags so I was able to find a quiet bench for some sleep. I stayed at a competitor property in this same hotel block before and slept great as there was no airport or road noise. I stay at IHG loyally for work outside of Chicago and have great experiences. I’ve stayed at 6 different IHG hotels in metro Chicago and they all have been unimpressive. I wish IHG could show what entities own each hotel as I may need to avoid a certain owner’s poor standards.

Worst hotel stay in a long time

This hotel experience was awful from the start. They were late preparing my room despite knowing I was there to drop off my stuff at 11 and would be back shortly before 3. Offered drink tickets to me as consolation despite the fact that I already had the club experience. The rooms were disgusting. The first suite was moldy, smelled like a foot and was not clean. The second suite was also not cleaned. Blood or feces on the wall, pubes and hair on the floor, molded lamps, visibly dirty floor and dirty, used coffee cup in coffee bar area. One bathroom smelled like sewage, which maintenance had to fix. Lukewarm water, defeating purpose of bathtub. Broken door lock on bathroom. Everyone in my family was coughing and sneezing from the amount of dust and mustiness in these suites. Staff mostly provided lip service without any real resolution. Very few life jackets for kids despite stating they are available to rent as part of club experience. Staff knows this and has complained. Beach isn’t much to write home about. Weak WiFi when out by the pool. Some staff at the pool and hotel lobby bar were pleasant but one worker named Sham was particularly rude and unpleasant to interact with. The breakfast at the Terrace was pretty lame compared to breakfast buffets offered at other Crowne resorts or hotels. It’s not something I would have paid for if it wasn’t included with my club experience. The tried to offer me bonus points as apology but didn’t even issue them which is laughable given how pathetic this place is. You’d be better off staying elsewhere or skipping Guam altogether.

Highway Robbery

I wouldn't be as mad about the stay if it wasn't for the price (three times as much as the other places in the area).
1. I was down the hall from pool, which wouldn't be a problem except that there was some kind of hockey group staying at the hotel too. Which means that (a) I couldn't use the pool because it was filled with teenage boys ruffhousing and (b) anytime the door open, it sounded like the whole party was coming down the hall.
2. It was great that they had the dog rooms close to the back door, but everyone used it and all the dogs are together so the whole night the dogs are setting each other off every time someone comes down the elevator.
3. The pet suites are all tile, which makes sense in theory. Except that the floor wasn't cleaned properly and my feet were covered in dirt (as I have hardwood at home, I know that it is an issue with the unit and NOT my dog tracking dirt around).
