Great staff but no great sleep

We have stayed at this property many times.
Pro’s - very friendly staff and nicely located overlooking the ocean. Attached restaurant serves a nice breakfast
Cons - if you stay on a Friday or Saturday night don’t count on getting to bed early. They have a dueling piano bar on the main floor…the noise level carries even up 7 floors. Frustrating to try to fall asleep, even with a noise cancelling device.
We paid for a 2 queen ocean view…which yes you can see the ocean but our room was closer to the street/highway/train tracks
The air conditioner is a wall unit and if you stay in the bed right next to the unit…it will blow directly on you. Hard to sleep…when it’s turning on and off all night.
Elevator malfunctioned with us in it. Thankfully we were stuck less than a minute.

It was a shock to me when I entered the property of Crowne Plaza at Pune. The hotel does not meet the standards of IHG, it was a shame to see the quality of the room, right from the furniture, bedsheets (having stains), dirty curtains, wall paints, bathrooms, every things was below par rather sub standard.
I would prefer refund of my reward points used for booking, I have been to many properties of IHG, surprised to see low standards maintained. The management of IHG needs to intervene immediately else it will further spoil your image.
I look forward to hear on my refund.

Good afternoon I am here to leave a review about my staying in your facility. First of all the person at the reception wasn’t able to help with a mistake on my reservation didn’t even try. Secondly the room wasn’t clean and for the second night the beds were not change they were left just like we left them. I asked for an extra towel and it didn’t happen. Towels were not change they were dirty. The pool was absolutely dirty and people were drinking alcohol in the pool what I see very unsafe for children who are swimming. I had an amazing time in a different holiday in last year and for that reason I thought of staying there.
I hope you can address some of those issues. Very disappointing. These were my only vacation days that I can afford and did not have a good experience.

From the moment we walked in, it feels relaxing. Front desk staff is very efficient and always willing to accommodate. Rooms are very clean and the beds and pillows so comfortable.

Housekeeping

Ms. Sharon at the desk was amazing. She checked us in and was very helpful. The problem I had was with housekeeping. Check out was at 11am. House keeping came by at 8:30am to see if we were still in the room. They came by 5 times before we checked out. It was annoying and kept interrupting my sleep.

A comfortable hotel in Nürnberg Altstadt with family-friendly rooms, a restaurant, gym and sauna Within the medieval city walls, Holiday Inn® Nürnberg City Centre hotel is a short walk to historic sights, shops and bars. The hotel in Nuremberg city centre is a 5-minute walk from 2 U-Bahn stations, and the main train station is also within walking distance. From Plärrer U-Bahn station , guests can catch a train to Nuremberg Airport (NUE) in just 20 minutes. If you arrive by car, we offer secure parking for a daily rate. The hotel is a short stroll from the Germanisches Nationalmuseum with its extensive collection of cultural artefacts. Cross a 16th-century bridge for the Hauptmarkt main square and the hilltop Imperial Palace . Take a short U-Bahn ride from the hotel to the Memorium Nuremberg Trials . Poor front desk service and inflexible policy

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. Whereas the room cleaningness and comfort was fine, the hotel was very inflexible and the front desk staff was very rude and unprofessional.
My reservation was for 3/10-3/15 to attend Embedded World show. Due to the air service strike on 3/10 in Germany, my original flight departing on 3/9 and arriving on 3/10 was cancelled. After rebooking on another flight arriving on 3/11 on the same day, I called the hotel letting them know that I will not be arriving on 3/10 due to the strike. The hotel staff told me that I was still liable for the first night stay cost albeit at 90% of the original rate. I didn't think it was fair since my change was not due to my own causing but I did not argue. After checking in on 3/11, I found out a day later that I needed to check out a day earlier, on 3/14. I notified the front desk in the morning of 3/13 on the change and was told that it was fine. When I checked out on 3/14, the front desk staff told me that I was sitll liable for the 3/144 night cost. I argued with the staff that I was not notified of the liability but the personnel was very rude and ignored my case. Even the front desk manager on shift that morning was very rude. I am a IHG Platinum member and I stay at IHG hotels around the world. I am afraid I must say this front desk staff and the cancellation policy was the worst I have ever encountered not only with a IHS hotel, but ever.
I informed my staff that our company will never book rooms in that hotel again for Embedded World.

Full of mystery and legend, Guanajuato is located in a basin of the Sierra Madre mountains, with much of its perimeter creeping upwards along the walls of the valley. This former mining city was once home to José Carpio, a young and talented man known as El Cantador whose singing and guitar-playing earned him fame in the 18th century. The Hotel Indigo Guanajuato pays homage to the city's mining heritage and its legendary musician. In fact, it shares the same ground El Cantador once called home. After his father was killed in a mining accident, the young musician began mining himself—all the while moonlighting with his guitar. When he saved enough money to buy a plot of land, he chose the land where Hotel Indigo now stands. And from its terrace, guests can still see the beautiful garden named in his honor.
