A Bad Experience

We had a bad experience at this hotel. I will keep this short. We booked in advance but our rooms were not adjacent. The manager claims we were offered a sleeper sofa room, but I dont remember that and its irrelevant. i didnt book a sleeper sofa room. The room was not good. It was hot all night and the phone didnt work, and the lamp by the bed would not turn off. I told the manager and front desk this and they said the thermostat was fine. It was not. The other problem was with breakfast. I had thought we bought it when we booked, but because we used points, apparently not. I did not know that. The attendent was not professional. Glaring and staring at us. But not telling us the thing was not opened for 15 more minutes. I found that out by the manager a week later. Anyways, the breakfast was a croisant and some fruit. Nothing hot. The attendent did not tell us we were too early, she just glared and got our room number. I found out later this cost me 40 Dollars. Expensive croissant. Anyways. When I emailed the manager to ask him what the 40 bucks was for, he said it was for 2 breakfasts. I said, you mean the croissant and the fruit, there was nothing hot. He said, you were too early and went back for more. Not true, I went back to look before giving up and leaving. The manager took no responsibility for the lackluster performance of his hotel staff. But he did have the audacity to insinuate I was lying to him. Why would I lie? I did not ask for a refund or anything. He emailed me saying before you do a review, if its bad, email me your problems. So I did. Then he gives me 8000 points. I dont want his points. I didnt ask for his points. And I didnt ask for a refund. I am disputing the breakfast charges. I was not told the cost. I was not told the thing was closed. I was only glared out like an intruder and billed without a word. This is not acceptable. All she had to do was say, "the breakfast opens in 15 minutes and you are not on the list so it would be $20 a person" and I would have been like, "Oh, no problem." Instead I thought that I had already paid for breakfast, but I guess not. You know we had a great time in UK with everywhere but this hotel. This hotel was not acceptable and I would not stay there again.

Terrible service, dirty pool, no housekeeping, front desk doesn’t answer the phone at all.

Not a good experience. Terrible service. Housekeeping left early. When I asked for extra towels at the front desk. They stated they didn’t have towels for me at all and I had to get towels to use from a local store that night. I tried calling the front desk prior to this for towels no one answered. I tried calling the front desk in the morning to request a late check out due to having to not only wait an extra almost three hours for my room to be ready but also having to move both rooms because one room wasn’t cleaned or ready. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in 39 years. I plan to call corporate to make an official complaint. Also will be reaching out to the better business bureau!

Rude front desk agents

morning of check out , front desk agent was very rude and ignorant for no reason when towels and rags were requested.. upone obtaining my own towels and rags and actually getting to check out , when i arrived at the front desk and asked for a receipt for my deposit being refunded , she was also very rude and arrogant for no reason at all.. I will not be recommending my family to stay here when we visit AC again.

poor quality

Upon arrival I discovered my reservation was not correct. The staff was great at handling it but there was no management presence the entire stay. One of the elevators was not working and before the stay was complete they were both out. Staff again was great but no management presence and poor response to correcting the situation. Overall the property was falling apart. The access door did not respond to the card for re-entering the building.

I was very inconvenienced with my stay

Although I travel a lot for work I always look and stay for a holiday inn and express. I have absolutely never had a problem until this stay at this location which I am seriously thinking of reconsidering and changing hotel stays .

Never again!!

Since we were staying 2 nights I selected a suite with a couch for a bit more comfort, it was so broken down it was uncomfortable to sit on. The caulking in the bathroom is beginning to mold and needs cleaned/repaired. Since we travel with a pet I am used to paying a pet fee. I was shocked that it was $75 and they refused to waive it even though housekeeping left the used diaper from the previous customer for us to dispose of.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Atlanta East-Lithonia . Ideally located 20 minutes east of Atlanta, the Holiday Inn Express and Suites is close to many of Atlanta's attractions. Area attractions include Georgia Aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, Stone Mountain Park, National Center for Civil & Human Rights, Centennial Olympic Park, The New World of Coke, and the Stonecrest shopping center . The local area provides a variety of championship golf courses, parks, and outdoor recreation. Several restaurants, sports bars, and specialty shops are in the Stonecrest vicinity and are even within walking distance. Elevator out of order should provide discount

Telling us before booking and providing discount when unable to reserve rooms on first floor knowing elevator will not be working, has not worked in two weeks. Other items not working such as side door entrance, pancake maker and constant alarm.

Decent Stay...Terrible Cutomer Service

The Front Desk Clerk argued with my husband and myself about how I booked my stay and claimed that there was no way that she could print me a receipt for my room. I did not use a third party to book my room. I called the hotel directly, booked my stay, was charged by the hotel for my room, and never produced my card at check in because they asked if I wanted them to use the card they had on file. When I checked out, the front desk clerk refused to print me any kind a receipt for my stay other than items that had been charged to the room and paid for, but when I asked about a receipt for the actual room, she claimed there was nothing listed at all. How on earth is there no documentation of my stay in your system, but I can prove my phone call to your listed phone number, show proof where the hotel charged my card for my stay on my bank statement, and you had my reservation listed and ready for my late check in appon arrival? It makes no sense to me, and the fact that someone wants to argue with me about what I did and how I did it, is absolutely insane!! DO BETTER!! The room was clean, the air conditioner worked great, the food was terrible and over priced, drinks at the bar were WAY over priced, and the elevator was not in proper working order and sounded like it was at the end of its life. I will not stay at this Holiday Inn ever again!! This is the first bad experience that I have ever had at a Holiday Inn.

You get what you pay for

Unfortunately I did not even look at the reviews as I was in a hurry to book last minute. I was hoping for the best as most holiday inn's I've stayed at are usually good. However, the attitude and lack of caring from the front desk lady about our room not being ready made me realize we would not be impressed. Had to wait for a room to get ready for half hour keep in mind this was way past when all rooms should be ready at 6:30pm. Non friendly attitude and service.

Not a great idea unless you enjoy constantly sweating!!

The staff was absolutely phenomenal and so very kind and accommodating. Every single employee we came in contact with was extremely friendly and informative! I hate to give a poor review because there is nothing any of the staff could have done to make our stay any better. However, the reason for the poor review is just for the fact I feel I should have been contacted prior to arrival about the hotel not having working air conditioning.
