Holiday Inn® Lancaster hotel is just off the M6, with easy access to the Lake District. The shops and attractions of Lancaster are a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, leave the car in the hotel's free car park and catch a bus to the town centre from the stop outside the hotel. Lancaster Station is served by direct trains to Manchester. Blackpool Airport (BLK) is 40 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The hotel is just 20 minutes' drive from the scenic Lake District National Park. A 10-minute drive from the hotel, the 12th-century Lancaster Castle is surrounded by parkland. Nearby, the riverside Lancaster Maritime Museum occupies a former warehouse. Morecambe Bay, 20 minutes' drive from the hotel, offers coastal walks and seafront cafés. Lancaster University is easily accessible and only a 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.
Business guests are 20 minutes' drive from Heysham Power Station. At the hotel, you can host meetings for up to 100 people in seven flexible conference rooms with AV equipment and free WiFi.
In the relaxed restaurant, start your day with a buffet breakfast, or enjoy an evening meal with family or colleagues. We arrived at 00.50 but could not check in due to the receptionist having to stop some drunken yobs from taking glasses from behind the bar. Their behavior including language was extremely intimidating hence just in case they were guests I did not go for breakfast the following morning fortunately I had not paid for breakfast. I appreciate the hotel must have functions but the lack of staff supervising needs attending!

There were stains on my sheets. I asked for housekeeping or a new room. I was told that the hotel was sold out, and that I had to sleep on top of a fitted sheet. I called reservations to see if other rooms were available and I was told there were SEVERAL available. I proceeded to call guest relations to get a new room and there was no help provided. I then went to the front desk again and informed her of what I learned and she reluctantly assigned me a new room. I have now been overcharged for parking and they are not providing help to get charges removed. The hospitality is TERRIBLE, all of the employees, specifically the night auditor need to be fired. This is unacceptable. I will never stay at an IHG again.

The first night the elevator on the third floor did not work right. The lights over the bed and over the desk did not work. Told the night front desk person about the problems. He was stoned and did not really care. Told the day desk worker and he said he would check on it but did nothing. On Tuesday I ran into someone from maintenance. He said he was not told about the lights in my room but would check on it asap. Five minutes later he was there to check on it. The lights did not work and would take some time to get fixed and asked if we would like to change rooms. We were leaving the next day so we said no. After 5 days of this we left.

Candlewood Suites Lancaster West.
Come experience the Amish Country or go shopping at some of the best designer outlets. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi to all its guests, along with free parking. The property consists of a heated indoor pool and a general fitness center. We were built in 2017 and offer 85 rooms, each equipped with a full kitchen. This newly constructed hotel has four floors is located close to many destinations. We offer ADA accessible rooms and large suites. The hotel houses a cupboard where complimentary coffee is offered and guests may purchase snacks. Whether it’s a business trip, weekend getaway, or a reunion, we are here for your every need. We are 100% smoke free.
The hotel is located right off of Route 30 and very close to many attractions. We are situated outside of Lancaster City. Guests will find many farmers markets and country charm throughout their stay in the area. Lancaster County has many different types of fairs, shows, and events going on all year long, please feel free to ask our front desk staff for local and current suggestions. We are also close to many large businesses. Some of the major businesses include Armstrong and Lift, located less than two miles away. Lancaster General Hospital is about fifteen minutes from us.

Bed Bugs

A colleague and I contracted bed bugs in different rooms at this hotel. I would not stay here until all of the bedding and carpet is replaced.
The rooms were grimy.
The laundry room was down to only 1 functional washer out of 4. The staff didn't seem fussed about getting it fixed.

The hotel management fails to correct any issue you raise. There is no communication between management, the front desk and maintenance that is reliable and gets problems solved. I attempted to resolve multiple issues during the various stays at this site and management fails at every turn. Hotel is in a great location.

Horrible breakfast charging ports did not work

Breakfast was very cheaply done pancake machine was broken, out of chocolate milk for our kids drink cups were like 3 oz. Not for adults. USB ports in room did not work . Mexican music being played loudly from someone's room and people yelling from room to room sounded like a truck stop motel my family and myself were very disappointed.

Terrible Condition

I love Holiday Inn but this hotel is really run down. The room was in terrible condition. The room's floor was not even. It had huge bumps in the middle of the carpet especially by the sofa bed. During the night, my daughter tripped over the bumps because it is so uneven. The title in the bathrooms is not even and falling apart. I have never seen a holiday inn in this bad of shape. I honestly felt like I was at a cheap motel. It is not worth the price! NO breakfast and I had to pay for parking. I will never go there again. We stayed in Family Suite on the fourth floor (410).

nice hotel but very poor maintenance

The hallways were clean and looked like fairly new carpeting but our room had looked like old carpeting but could have been just very dirty and someone spilled something on the carpet but was not cleaned, only vacuumed and I would not let my bare feet touch the floor. The bathroom floor looked as though it had been mopped with a dirty mop. The toilet paper holder was loose and close to falling on the the floor. Also, the sheets were too small to fit the mattress properly.
