It is the place to sustain Hong Kong’s economic development, where the people would like to work, to do business, to walk, to stay, and to play. Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Kowloon CBD2 is conveniently located at Kwun Tong with 0.5km walking distance to MTR station. We are in the center of CBD2, within walking distance to Landmark East, Millennium City Complex and apm – one of the biggest shopping mall in East Kowloon. We have 286 restful guest rooms, each inclusive of just what you need such as high speed Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, refreshing shower and complimentary Express Start Breakfast. Other self-service facilities such as Great Room with computers, self-service laundry and dry-cleaning and vending machine are well equipped. Business or pleasure, Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Kowloon CBD2 is the ideal choice among the hotels in Kowloon to stay smart for your visit to Hong Kong.

Wonderful hotel in Kwun Tong

A good friend recommended this hotel. It is a wonderful recommendation! The room was very clean which is most important to me. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The location is near many restaurants and walking distance to APM mall. Very close to all major transportations. I will chose to stay here again as long as the price remains fair.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the very pleasant staff, and our cases taken into the lobby area for us.
Check-in was a breeze and we were located in a family room facing the happy valley racecourse.
Upon entering the room, the guest team had set up balloons and a little gift for our Daughters upcoming 16th birthday along with a message card, she was delighted.
The rooms are spacious and very clean, housekeeping is daily and very thorough.
The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to the MTR in Times Square (exit A) or the
'ding ding' trams or buses.
Club 28 on the 28th floor has a very relaxed atmosphere is your wanting to unwind at the end of long day exploring the city, again staff can't help enough.
Overall this hotel is a 10/10 choice when looking for somewhere to stay on Hong Kong island.

Hotel appeared to be very new, as it was stated.
However, our first assigned room smelled of cigarette smoke.

Oddly, this hotel shares the same building with another local hotel.
It is located quite close to PVG, but takes a considerable amount of time to transit with the hotel shuttle.
Food delivery is available, but nothing really close that can be reached by walking.

The worst hotel stay experience so far

Our family of four booked a family room three days in advance for one night, mainly because the hotel is close to Shanghai Pudong Airport, making it convenient to catch our flight the next morning. When we checked in at around 10 p.m., the staff clearly had not prepared our room in advance. It was only when they handed me the room key that they realized I was a Platinum member. It was obvious they hadn’t arranged anything beforehand, despite our reservation being made three days earlier.
At other IHG hotels, the staff usually prepares the room in advance and offers an upgrade if a better room is available. Here, there was no recognition of Platinum member privileges, nor were we informed about the possibility of an upgrade.
The worst part was that upon entering the room, we found that the amenities were only prepared for three people, not for four guests. When we went to the front desk to ask why, there was no apology at all—just a response saying they would quickly provide supplies for the fourth person.

Although the hotel is quite new, the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor. You can clearly hear conversations from the neighboring rooms and the noise of cars from the street.

Standing out in comparing with another premium 5-star hotel around the same area

Moving to InterContinental is the best decision I made ever in the last two days of my trip. The reason of my moving is that, many hotels including some premium ones didn't offer AC during this season (April 10th, but outside temperature is around 30 degrees and inside temperature is around 26 degrees) and InterContinental does offer controlled temperature much better and the two nights I stayed there were the most peaceful nights with great sleep. The room design is practical for family of four and food is considerable. Location wise, it is close to a famous mall and subway station.

The hotel is old, dirty and smells. They advertise they have air conditioning but they don't. They gave me one little fan for my family with no window on a 30 degree day. Not worth the little you will save. Spend the extra and stay at one of the hotels up the road.

Recently, due to the change of seasons, the temperature fluctuates a lot, considering the majority of guests on the demand for temperature, at the same time, in order to avoid guests sleeping late at night cold and flu, the air conditioning is not turned on for the time being. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by having to rely on a small fan to cool you down in the middle of the day when the temperature reaches 30 degrees Celsius! In addition, all hotel rooms have windows, while the windows in standard rooms are located in the corridors or hallways.
