Unlike many other four and five star hotels, I'm pleased that Holiday Inn and its sister IHG brands provide proper, comfortable pillows which make a huge positive difference to a good night's sleep, leaving me refreshed and ready for the next day. Additionally, the mattress was very comfortable in the Holiday Inn Olaya.

Very Nice Hotel, Average Value

I stayed one night for business. The Holiday Inn Makati is much nicer than your typical Holiday Inn. The rooms are modern and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds/pillows, a nice desk for working, and good lighting. I heard no street noise and only minimal construction noise from my 14th floor room. Location is good if you have reason to be in Makati.
Two negative points: First, the sandwich I ate at the lobby bar was really not very good, and the pricing for both food and drinks is completely outrageous. I expect a markup at a western hotel, but they've taken it too far. This follows a general theme for this hotel that it is not a good value. They charge almost as much as the nearby 5 star hotels, but while perfectly nice, the Holiday Inn can't compete on that level. The lack of value means I probably won't return.
Second, upon check in the rep make a big show of assigning me an upgraded room due to my IHG platinum status. Yet, I received a standard size room on the 14th (out of 19) floor with a view of a construction site - exactly what I paid for. Of course platinum upgrades are never guaranteed, but don't insult your loyal customers by telling they you're upgrading them if you're not. It set a negative tone for what was otherwise a nice stay.

Great service and location

Nice hotel in great location next to the airport. They were timely in picking us up and dropping us off for flights. Room was clean, good size and well furnished. I liked the restaurant and wait staff was very helpful. Food was a bit overpriced in my mind. Overall a good experience there. They also had a good fitness center with steam room and sauna. It was cool when we were there so this was enjoyed.

安宿ならまだしも世界のインターコンチがお粗末でした。
海外の同ホテルでは考えられないポーターの対応、30分待たされた炭酸の完全に抜けたシャンパン。
仕事柄海外での利用が多いですが今後横浜利用に関しては慎重にならざるを得ません。

Amazing experiance

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel from the moment I reached the hotel having a relaxing calming atmosphere . The hospitality of the staff and their welcoming along with welcoming gift . And making sure that my needs are met during my chat with receptionist , that was very caring and understandable.
The room was beautifully furnished and loved the comfy bed and pillows
The internet connection was great all the time.
Even when checking out the recieptioest greeted me warmly and provided a transportation to hotel as I requested.
I got to know about the available facilities of spa, gym, pool and plan to use them next time I visit the hotel
