Other than the confusion at check-in, our stay was very nice. I was surprised that the reservation that we had made was not the room type that we received. We were told that this was all that was available, so we either had to go somewhere else or accept what they gave us.

The hotel is very modern and clean. The staff was very friendly and polite. The hotel had everything I could need for my week stay. I would definitely come back to this location again and again!

I really wasn't sure of this new avid hotel, as it showed up in the app as a hotel close to where I needed to be. It was a pleasant surprise with a new concept. Loved the location. New hotel that caters to you like a studio apartment. I would visit here again and look for these at other locations.

Tiny Tiny Rooms

This was my first stay at an avid hotel. Though it was brand new and very clean, the rooms were not sufficient for me. 1) they are only 240 sf and getting around is very tight. The “desk” was a joke. My laptop barely fit on it and when I sat in the chair I barely had room between the bed and the “Deskette”. There is no closet just random hooks around the room. Not my style. No coffee pot in the room. Not my style. Yes they have the 24/7 coffee in the common room but I doubt I would be allowed to go down there in my skivvies in the morning. The ice was in the common area only as well. Not my style. No microwave in the room but only in the common area. This is obviously designed for the millennials not a weekly business traveler. I like to go to my room, make coffee in the morning, a cocktail in the evening and get my work done quietly. I’m not into the hipster movement of always hanging around in a common area and drinking coffee 24/7 in a group while placing stickers on my laptop. That’s their gig but not mine. Plus the room had plastic floors which echo and not comfortable to walk around in socks. I’ll stick with the Full Service IHG hotels going forward. On a positive note, the 50” TVs are great and the bed was very comfy.
