Welcome to the Holiday Inn of Rockford, IL conveniently located at exit 15 of I-39/90 for all your business and leisure needs while in the Rockford/Belvidere, IL region. We are located near many businesses like General Mills, Collins Aerospace, Ingersoll Cutting Tools, Exelon Byron Nuclear Generating Station and all regional medical facilities/hospitals of MercyHealth, OSF Healthcare/St. Anthony Hospital, UW Health (formerly SwedishAmerican). We are also near many regional sports facilities like the MercyHealth Sportscore Two and One, UW Health Sports Factory, BMO Center, Carlson or Riverview Ice Arenas. Other nearby attractions include Rockford Casino (A Hard Rock Casino Opening Act), Midway Village Museum Center, Anderson Japanese Gardens, Discovery Center/Burpee Museum campus, Coronado Performing Arts Center, Klehm Arboretum. Our complimentary shuttle operates daily to the Rockford International Airport (RFD) 7:30am–10pm based on availability.
Our onsite restaurant serves reasonably priced breakfast daily. Scoreboard Bar & Grille serves lunch and dinner with menu items still including the Hoffman House Friday night fish fry and Saturday’s famous prime rib. We recently remodeled and our guests can now enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, parking and access to the largest indoor hotel pool in the city. Our remodeled guestrooms include a microwave, mini-fridge; Keurig coffeemaker, flat screen TV, room darkening shades, comfortable desk with USB ports.

I liked how quiet the rooms were and I will come again another time it was a comfortable experience in usually go to la Quinta but I chose this one this time I like to try new things so with that being said I’m glad I did

This hotel is old and dirty. There was hair and some kind of something all over the bathroom. Bed had hair on the sheets. Carpet looks like it’s from 1985 and disgustingly dirty. It was soooo loud. No way to block out any noise. It was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Needs Improvements

The hotel is in desperate need of updated improvements.The room was clean and comfortable , We were on the 3rd floor and the hall carpet has a old stale odor ,so it needs a deep cleaning or replaced . The elevator seemed unstable at times,. The breakfast was a joke ( SMH) we came down to eat at 8am and there was only a few over ripe fruits and the waffle batter ,my husband made a waffle ,took one bite and spit it out because it tasted sour , we asked if there was a cook and was told No because the person didn't show up for work ( SMH ) The dining area where the food is kept is in need of a good cleaning , we just opted for a cup of coffee,checked out and headed on our way ,

Very nice, large room with fireplace and couch seating. Surprised with binoculars and walking stick for hiking supplies in room. S’mores kit to use at fire pits was a nice surprise. Starbucks coffee in Lobby. Responsive staff

First floor bugs

First floor bugs, stay away! Woke up to bugs in bathroom, bed and luggage. So gross! Was told they sprayed weekly, which probably means they have a bug issue. My family could not check out soon enough. I would not stay in this location again.

Hotel is old and needs many updates

Carpet at the hallway and in guest room appeared unclean. Elevator was working but not in mint condition. Pool water not heated. Bath room mat missing, had to get it front desk. Only one coffee pod provided in the room. No luggage stand. Internet speed unacceptably slow! Breakfast served only until 9AM!

The room was priced at $200.00 per night, I thought it was a little bit high but it’s holiday inn express, I’ve stayed at others and it’s always been a good place to stay. Not here. They only had one elevator working, the room was missing coffee cups, coffee, and supplies, only two towels, made the most of the situation thinking that since we were going to be there for a few days that the staff would make it right. Nope. Boy was I wrong. When we returned to the room it had not been touched (even though there were people on the floor that clean rooms, we passed them on our way to the only working elevator). When I called the desk and told them, they said that I would have to go to their desk for clean towels and coffee supplies and that they only clean their rooms every other day. I don’t stay there every other day. This establishment is happy to charge me $200.00 per night and yet they don’t clean their rooms?
The water pressure in the shower was terrible, like trying to take a shower with a broken dollar store water gun.
The assistant manager called me after our stay, offered me reward points that would give me a stay at a holiday inn express of my choice, haven’t seen anything of the sort. It was just a way to get me off the phone.
Save your money, stay anywhere other than here, sleep in your car if you have to but don’t go to the Holiday Inn Express in Greenwood SC

3rd visit in a few months and all rooms have been the same end result. Couches are sunken in, chairs worn out. No outlets for USB chargers, TVs are old, slow and no streaming. No water in room. Rooms are spacious and pillows were comfortable.
