Over-rated and Over-priced

Initially we were given an occupied room which was frustrating. Once we got that figured out, and got into the right room we saw that the rooms at the hotel were planned/ intended to be of higher quality and that was expected based on the price. However, the room was “well used” and not adequately cleaned. The phones did not work and the labels on the phones were peeled back making the phones appear dirty. The toilet paper roll holder was wobbly and the coffee maker was not functional. There were not enough cups to make coffee for two. There was hair left in the shower, as well as pink mildew in the corners of the stall. The sink didn’t drain appropriately though maintenance stopped by and told us “just reach in and push the drain down,” which worked but didn’t seem sanitary. The carpet had not been vacuumed and there was something splattered on the wall near the window. Considering the price point I would expect better. Next time we will definitely consider staying elsewhere.

Curtains were ripped, pool was closed. Not much variety in breakfast. Hotel was under remodeling. When you showered the tub kept getting flooded.

Parking is awful!

This hotel is located 7 blocks from the Great Americian Ball Park. The hotel is very clean. You have use a room key to use elevator . The breakfast is a buffet. They were short staff in the restaurant, but the waitress did an amazing job.She needs a raise !!! The parking is awful, we were stuck in the parking garage for at least 15 minutes, I had to carry all the luggage back in to ask what to do while talking to my husband who was stuck in the garage. There only suggestion was to kept hitting the call button. We paid 20.00 a night to park, this is not acceptable! They should have a direct line to the parking garage. There also needs a attendant at the entrance and exit of the parking garage .

This hotel does not meet the expectations of a hotel having the Holiday Inn name. The bathroom smelled of curry. The foldout mattress was stained, and there was no mattress pad for it. There was not enough staff to keep up with the breakfast rush, so there was not enough food and no clean tables. They charged a $100 charge for “incidentals” to hold on my card in addition to the cost of the hotel room. This hotel did not come close to the quality that my family has come to expect from Holiday Inn Suites.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites is located less than 2 miles away from the University of Missouri, MU Hospital & Clinics, Broadway Shops & Lemone Industrial Complex. We offer easy access to many area attractions including the Downtown District, Mizzou Football Stadium, Hearnes Center, and the Mizzou Arena. Our corporate or leisure guests from out of town will be able to get to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites from the airport very quickly. Our hotel is 100% non smoking, with large comfortable suites, indoor swimming pool, large spa & state-of-the-art Fitness Center as well as our updated Express Start breakfast featuring a gluten free option. We, also, provide 5000 sq. ft. of meeting space for small or large meetings & a business center for all of your research or printing needs! Make Holiday Inn Express & Suites your home away from home!

Several things missing that you would expect. No charging ports in the bedside lamp or table, no vent in the bathroom (plan for a very steamy experience), shower head's only setting is 'gentle rain', it will take forever to rinse your hair, the outlets in the desk lamp did not work, no frig, don't bring back dinner leftovers or a soda for the next day!

Few frustrations in check in and amenities

Check in didn’t go smoothly unfortunately. I arrive early but rooms were not ready which is what I prepared for. But they did say they’ll ring me but didn’t. I walked around tirelessly for 4.5 hours waiting, and finally went back to check. I tried calling but was waiting for 15mins and no one came to answer. When I got there, the rooms were ready all along. So frustrating! They did end up giving me an upgrade but really, it's just the right room I was after. When I booked, it was for 1 person. They allocated a 2-bed room. My friends got 3-bed room and they were solo as well.
The room view was amazing and the amenities were good and equipped. However the transparent fridge emits a light that's so bright, I could hardly sleep. The next night, I had to put 2 towels in front of it to get a good night sleep.
The casting didn't work well either. It worked 1 night and didn't the next. Lots of frustration as you can tell. Not to mention the remote control didn't work and needed to be replaced as well.
Location is good too. Hence I would still consider staying here again. If customer service were nicer, welcoming and efficient, it would have made my stay superb.

HOT! and breakfast was horrible

I stay at holiday inns a lot! I booked this room with points to stay near a cheer competition.
It was almost 90 out, kids swam and enjoyed the pool, so why was the heater on in the halls and elevators!? It was so hot inside the hotel. Even our room took forever to cool off. We had it set to the coldest setting and it didn't cool off to a reasonable temp until sometime in the middle of the night.
I was already awake due to being hot and then the fire alarm in our room went off twice. Only beeped a few times. No announcements ever came. I had to ask about it and they said it was a false alarm?
Finally, got some sleep. Was planning for a hot meal, but the breakfast was horrible! No meat options, the pancake machine was down. We had choices of egg/cheese omelet, potatoes and refried beans and tortillas. AND they were all COLD. Who wants cold refried beans for breakfast!?
Really disspointed.

Recently stayed room had an old wash cloth still in the shower which was disgusting and how do you run out of cinnamon rolls and when we asked they said they had none left and this is at breakfast before 8am when breakfast is until 10? Only reason I book IHG is for the cinnamon rolls hope someone from the hotel sees this review and fixes these issues since they just renovated the property would be a shame that the services don’t reflect the new look

Holiday Inn Lincoln sits on the Brayford waterfront, a lively area lined with bars and eateries. Its less than half a mile to Lincoln Central station and about a one hour drive to East Midlands Airport. A short stroll takes you to shopping in the high street quarters, the waterside shopping centre or the independent boutiques along historical Bailgate. You can also catch performances at the Theatre Royal or The Engine Shed. Business guests are close to central appointments as well as conferences at the cathedral centre. Our two well equipped meeting rooms can accommodate up to 30 people. At this hotel you can enjoy free WIFI, proud to serve Starbucks, onsite parking, kids stay and eat free. Each stylish, welcoming room includes a pillow menu, to customise your comfort, as well as a flat screen TV and coffee and tea facilities. Some rooms include sofa beds. Pathetic Experience

Staying at Holiday Inn Brayford Wharf North, Lincoln, LN1 1YW, United Kingdom was an extreme disappointment. I have never seen such a pathetic Holiday Inn. Smelly unclean room and the bathroom. Uncomfortable bed with smelly quilt. No cushioning effect left to the chair next to table because it was too old and was overdue for the replacement. Far over priced to the standard of stay they provided. Extremely noisy with zero soundproofing. Please avoid this place until unless they renovate the hotel. Thank you

Terrible don’t go here

I have never been so yucked out in my life. Blood in the comforter my child slept with. I didn’t see it until the morning and on his pillow he used. Toe or finger nail on the floor. Old gross yogurt lid stuck to the floor. Food crumbs like it was not vacuumed at all before we check in. I seriously wanted to just leave but my children were so tired. The blood is just AHHH I should have inspected the better before I let him sleep in it.
