Strong smell of cleaning chemicals

When my family arrived to our room, it had just been cleaned and the smell of the cleaner was extremely overwhelming. It smelled like Pinesol. Windows did not open, so we were trapped in the room with this powerful chemical smell. Within 5 minutes, I had a headache and nauseous.
I requested a different room and the lady at the front desk did her best to help me. She walked me to other available rooms, which also had the strong smell of cleaner. Luckily after several attempts, we found a room that hadn't just been cleaned so the scent was faint.
I am greatful that she was able to resolve the issue, but I would be hesitant to stay here again. I have stayed in alot of hotels and I have never experienced this issue before. I suggest changing to a mild smelling cleaner since rooms can't be aired out.
Also, the toilets in both rooms continued to run after flushing. Hotel staff was notified.

Awaken By Loud Noises

Compared to other options in the area, this hotel had the best value for what you get.

Still, it marks one of my worst experiences at an IHG hotel.

This particular property was decent, but my room had two issues:

The light bulb in one of the lamps beside the bed was out. (I didn’t bring it up because I was only there for one night)

My room was at the end of a first floor hallway near an exterior door that people went in and out of all night, and it woke me up constantly.

Seriously, I think the air pressure of the exterior door opening was pulling on my room’s door - making it sound like somebody was desperately trying to get into my room all night.

It was even worse as it got closer to sunrise and people were going in and out more frequently.

I had to leave around 8:30am, and my last few hours of sleep were particularly terrible.

Otherwise, it’s probably a great hotel - just beware the end of the hallway on the ground floor!

I won't stay again...

We checked in around 4:00 Friday (3/28) and the check-in process was fine. We got to room 573 and there was a partially used water bottle on the counter, a tissue in the waste bin, and 2 dirty towels on the balcony. There were no wash rags in the room, but it seemed like the bed was made. The toilet paper roll wasn’t fresh.

We woke up Saturday (3/29) morning to a piece of chewed gum on the floor that one of our dogs had found. None of us had any gum and our dogs could have choked. At this point, it was not clear that the room was ever actually cleaned. So that was a nice thought. I went down to ask for the manager and the employee said Jason would show up around 3:00. I went downstairs at 3:30 p.m. and spoke with Jason. Jason didn’t seem like he cared. I don’t care much for Jason.

Jason said he’d give me a slightly discounted rate for a night and that someone would be up immediately to clean the room. Jason said he would radio the cleaning staff immediately and that me, my wife, and my dogs should leave the room so they can clean it. At 3:38 we left the room. At 4:00 we returned to the room, and nobody ever came to clean the room.

I have stayed at this exact hotel a few times and I have had good experiences, and I have left good reviews. But I won’t be staying at your property again. I may move away from the IHG brand entirely. I will advise clients and friends to stay away from this property.

I would have waited on Friday if the room wasn’t ready, but instead I guess a dirty or semi-clean room is adequate customer service now? This is not a 4-star hotel. I wonder if all the fancy guests on Saturday got semi-clean rooms, too?

Additionally, the coffee machine did not work. The alarm clock had a dangerous wire coming out and did not work. The subtitles on the TV did not work. No microwave in the room.

Dirty Bathtub, Loud Neighbors, Uncomfortably Hot Room, Unsafe Parking Lot

We were not impressed with this hotel at all. It is not in a nice neighborhood and there are signs all over the parking lot about the hotel not being responsible for stolen items. The room was run down and dirty. The bathtub was full of grit and dirt. There were loud neighbors, people playing musical instruments and babies screaming. We could not cool the room below 65 we could only shut the heat off which left us sleeping in an uncomfortably warm room. Overall would not recommended. There was also no breakfast included.

Horrible Location and Rooms weren't clean

We were late checking in - very tired!. Location horrible. We could not find the at first. It is located behind a mall that is totally closed - no lights in mall parking that we had to drive through to find hotel. Room was not clean with obvious dirt piled up in corners - bed linen was wrinkle-not sure if clean or dirty. Toilet seat on loosely almost fell off.

Safe and Comfort away from home

Attending a conference and this was 1 of 3 accommodations that were recommended. I'm glad that I stayed here. The room was comfortable and clean. Plenty of room. The breakfast was just right. Loved that it had eggs and delicious items but not so many so less food to waste. Loved the beverage bar. Coffee was great. I found they had a hotel in the location where I will be traveling in August and already booked my stay with them again.
