The room was great at first. And it had a great view But then we kept smelling smoke all evening , night and morning and it got worse unfortunately… My kids and I had to sleep with the window open.
This is no reflection on the lovely lady at the front desk, she’s so sweet. I should have left with my kids in the evening.
By far the worst hotel experience and we have travelled all over Canada and the states.

Top floor was noisy in the rain

I stayed on the fifth floor, which has a flat roof on top of it and outside the window. The rain was exceedingly heavy overnight and made it extremely noisy, and difficult to sleep, and that is over and above me wearing ear plugs.
Other than that, everything else was great.
Shower was lovely and hot even at peak waking up time.
Bed was comfy and spacious.
The little ironing board was perfect for my needs.

No hot water, very loud a/c unit, and only 1 “working”ish elevator

We booked early in the week and when we showed up the hotel was over booked. We even had a teammate who was told their room was canceled due to the over booking. Only 1 elevator “worked” and I use that term very loosely as it was terrifying to even ride, most of us opted for the stairs. We the. Had no hot water and only found out after check in that 2 of their water heaters were out with no expectations on when they would be fixed. Not very cool with a softball team that had been playing all day. Our A/C was extremely loud and would wake everyone up each time it kicked on. I do not recommend this hotel and if you are staying in Forney just drive the extra way to stay in Terrell!!

Great Hotel Pool is always Out Of Order

The hotel was nice, but I was a little upset that the pool was out of order again. We were traveling with family, and this was a deal breaker. There aren't very many things to do in the area, so I knew this would be great. But once again, the pool was out of order.

Horrible Breakfast

Don’t pay extra for the breakfast. It’s absolutely not worth it. Every hotel that has free breakfast is better than what you have to pay for here. It’s all microwaveable mush.

Decent price but lacking breakfast choices

As the title says, the price was good, but the breakfast choices were lacking. First, it was a small breakfast area compared to various other Holiday Inn Express locations I have stayed at, and I travel for work, so I have stayed at many of these hotels across the county. Once food ran out it was rarely refilled (e.g. yogurt, oatmeal). Also, of the 5 nights we stayed there were only cinnamon rolls one of the days.
The hotel room had musty carpets, and the bathroom had a broken toilet holder and a piece of the wall missing by the tub. There was not a lot of bathroom counter space, and the room was tiny. I've stayed at worse places but definitely stayed at better places.

The stay was good until my wife took a shower and the whole shower bar came knocking her in the face. Had a huge lump on her head. Haven't heard from management.

Dirty Sheets, Lack of Choice at Breakfast.

Blood stained sheets discovered as I was about to go to sleep. Staff arranged a new room and offered me a free drink at the bar, which was a strange compensation offer given the late time and the fact I was going to bed.
Breakfast choices a were limited and bland.
I won’t be in a hurry to return.

Las instalaciones del hotel en general son amplias y limpias.
Muchos problemas con cos sensores y las tarjetas de la habitación, sólo mencionaron que ya son viejos. Las amenidades como shampoo y crema no fueron suministradas a su término. La secadora de cabello no se encontraba en la habitación y se tenía que pedir con un vale. El horario del desayuno comenzaba muy tarde por lo que no pudimos aprovecharlo. La ubicación es práctica por estar cercana a plazas comerciales pero el tren pasa a unos cuentos metros, así que por la madrugada se escucha su paso.
El personal fue amable y ofreció diferentes opciones para solucionar todas las problemáticas pero no fue una estancia cómoda.

The employees acted annoyed by bringing the ants and towels to their attention! When checking out the desk employee acted unconcerned about the issues are a chance for any type of review! The cabinets and counter were full of black ants! Dirty towels in bath hung on rods as if they were clean and hard as a rock! The tub was not clean, looked like someone unprofessional tried to resurface it! The counters, ceiling and other areas definitely need attention also! We had to go to staff on two occasions, luckily we only had to stay one night and left early as possible without any form of rest!! Felt unsafe because the door lock needed repair but lucky for me I was with a state employee licensed to carry! Will not use the hotel again and this is my second bad experience! I’m a contractor so this was a disappoint for me and the price for quality was definitely not equal to each other! Only thing positive was the night desk clerk, location and parking.
