Stay at our modern Dusseldorf hotel near the Main Train Station and Old Town – Altstadt. The Holiday Inn Express® Dusseldorf – Hauptbahnhof is a 20-minute drive from Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS) and a 15-minute drive from Convention Center Dusseldorf. Walk to the S-Bahn stop in Hauptbanhof to explore Dusseldorf City Centre, the KÖ shopping district, Rhine Tower, MedienHafen, an architectural landmark, Classic Remise, and the Kunstpalast museum. The Capitol Musical Theatre is opposite the hotel. Wake up refreshed in contemporary guestrooms with large workspace, and Smart TVs. Start your day with a hot breakfast buffet at our Express Café. Bad service staff and untidy hotel

Let me start from check-in: arrogant staff
After check-in: I see there’s only one towel in the room, when asked they said you need to come to reception and pick the second towel
Day2: When asked regarding cleaning they responded that it’s hotel policy to clean after 2nd night stay- non sense policy.

It's time to let this property become a best w3stern

Where to begin. Remember back in the day when the Holiday Inn was "the place" to stay? Well, that was the last time this facility was nice or received maintenance.
- The property is completely beat worn out. The lobby is nice, but it didn't look like the coffee or bar were ever staff the entire stay we were there. Pool and hot tub were wet but mostly cloudy during our stay.
- I don't know if it was a staff issue or hardware issue, but key cards constantly did not work so we would have to go back to the lobby to get them reprogrammed several times a day. At no point did both cards ever work at the same time.
- The furnishings in the rooms are tired. None of the doors/drawers on in-room furniture closed/opened correctly. Veneer was chipped. Bedside outlets were so sloppy that charges wouldn't stay in.
- Housekeeping was hit and miss. On no day were all garbages emptied or a full service of towels/bed making completed.
- Gym was so sad. None of the treadmills worked. On the first afternoon I reported to the front desk that 2 had tripped the circuits and over 4 days it was never reset. Not that I think they would have worked again as usually that means issues with the machine's motor. Very hot, AC didn't work.
- Again, the whole property has lacked routine maintenance for years. Ice machines did not work, falling ceiling in laundry room, 3rd floor balcony by the gym is on the verge of collapse, metal railings everywhere were rusted and likely incapable of meeting code.
- And the final insult after you book here is to get further nickel and dimed as they want you to pay for parking!

Just minutes from the M60 and 7 miles from Manchester City centre, we are perfectly located for both business and leisure with free parking and free WiFi.
just a short 20-minute drive away from the hotel, 5.5 miles is the brand new Co-op Live Arena which will be the UK’s only music-first arena. Co-op Live will boast the largest floor space of any indoor venue and host a large number of events.
The Etihad Stadium which hosts Manchester City Football Club is 5.6 miles from the hotel, about a 20 minute drive.
The hotel makes a stylish and convenient conference and events venue with 3 event spaces including the Medlock suite at Smokies Park which can host gala celebrations of up to 300 guests or a theatre style presentation for up to 500 guests.
You can work out in the hotel's fitness studio. Enjoy drinks and casual dining in the Filament Lounge.

Extremely disappointed by the unprofessional attitude

I would like to clarify that I did not stay at Holiday Inn Manchester – Oldham, nor did I check in. Unfortunately, I have now lost 16,000 IHG points for a stay that never happened.
While I acknowledge that the booking error was on my part — I mistakenly booked for one person via the IHG app, when it should have been for my wife and two children — the number of points deducted was the same regardless of whether the booking was for one or four people, so this should not have made any difference from a points perspective, especially since no one stayed.
More importantly, I was extremely disappointed by the unprofessional attitude and lack of understanding shown by your front office staff regarding IHG booking and points procedures. Their handling of the situation was far from satisfactory and, frankly, the worst I have experienced in my 10 years as an IHG member.
As a result, I opted to stay at a nearby Holiday Inn hotel, which provided far superior customer service and handled everything promptly and professionally.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, and I kindly request that the 16,000 points be reinstated to my account, given that no stay occurred.

Average Stay – Mixed Experience

As a Gold Elite member who frequently stays at IHG properties, I expected a consistent and smooth experience. Check-in was great, and the first day went well—clean room, friendly staff, no issues. Unfortunately, the second day fell short. We returned after being out all day to find that all towels and bed linens had been stripped from the room with no replacements. Housekeeping did eventually show up, but it was an inconvenience—especially during a short two-night stay.
To add to the frustration, we also did not receive credit or points for the stay. Overall, this hotel was just average. It had potential, but inconsistency and lack of follow-through on member benefits made it a forgettable experience.

Moldy experience

The hotel had it posted that it was under renovation. We stayed in the non-renovated side of the motel. There was visible mold in the shower on all sides. The two pictures on the wall had visible mold and water stain on them. There were a copious amount of visible particles in the carpet. There actually was a dirty black sock under the desk which didn’t belong to us. There such a gap along the door and the frame that I couldn’t use my hotel security lock because our just fell out. Let me just say that I didn’t sleep at all that night.

Great Room, but Poor Service and Unexpected Charges

The room itself was fantastic, and we really appreciated the convenience of being able to check in as soon as we arrived. However, our experience was marred by a few issues that frustrated us.
First, we were surprised by a knock at the door a little after 8:00 AM from housekeeping, which was a bit too early for our liking, especially since we hadn't requested any early service. We left our room around 9:15 AM, and when we returned to change for dinner, we noticed our room hadn't been cleaned. A card had been left under the door stating that we had requested not to have our room cleaned, which was completely false—we had not made such a request.
To make matters worse, I checked my credit card statement, and there is now a $100 charge that I can't explain. I'm extremely upset about this, as I now have to dispute the charge, adding unnecessary stress to what was supposed to be a relaxing stay.
While the room was lovely, the lack of communication and unexpected charges left a sour taste in my mouth. The hotel can improve its service and billing process to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Bed bug infestation

During our stay I had bed bug bites over a considerable area of my body. I subsequently contacted the hotel and they informed me they would investigate the infestation and get back to me. Unfortunately I am still waiting on a response.

The Holiday Inn Northwest University Heights hotel offers spacious guest rooms and full suites, microwave and refrigerators in each guest room. Our famous hot breakfast buffet is a favorite, with the sparkling indoor pool, free internet, fitness and business center. With easy access to San Antonio International Airport, Military friendly, we are easy access to JBSA – Camp Bullis and Fort Sam Houston for our military groups and training programs. Our groups love to mingle and have "Ice Breaker" receptions at our Lobby Bar before going out to dinner at great local restaurants.

Uninterested staff at check in, dirty room on check-in, ok pool and gym, would not recommend to stay here for a quick stay or need to be close to UTSA for an event.

Poor customer service but clean hotel

I have stayed here many times but am not sure if I will bother again...
Upon check in (which was excellent) I was upgraded and gave my credit card as pre-authorization. This is to speed things up at the bar etc. and also to ensure that I get points on my purchases. This was taken as normal, I was told for £80.
When I went down later to reception (as the bar is staffed by the night reception staff), firstly I was IGNORED (for ca. 15 minutes) whilst the 2 reception staff dealt with 2 check-ins - very slowly!! I'm sure it was because the 2 groups all had suits on that I was ignored, and for a very long peiod of time.
After eventually being served, I was instructed to go to the bar where I waited for another 5 minutes.
Finally when I was eventually served, I was instructed that my pre-authorisation was invalid - so, what is the point?
As I say, I will certainly look elsewhere in Stevenage in future as this is unacceptable. Unfortunately I have another stay already booked here in a few weeks - so will HAVE to stay then...
Upon check in (which was excellent) I was upgraded and gave my credit card as pre-authorization. This is to speed things up at the bar etc. and also to ensure that I get points on my purchases. This was taken as normal, I was told for £80.
