Disappointed-Dirty

This hotel was fairly dirty, especially our room. Most of the couches and chairs in our room had stains. There were dirty hand stains on all the high touch areas. There were dirt covered pieces of food stuck to the floor in the dining area. The lock on one of the bathroom doors was completely missing. The door handles on the bedroom doors were falling off. The bathtub had black dots all over the bottom of it.
When we arrived the hallway to our room looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed all week. We found centipedes crawling on the walls in the hall as well in our bathroom.
Every time we flushed one of the toilets, it would make a loud squealing noise followed up by an even louder grinding noise. We were truly waiting for a pipe to burst out of the wall or something similar.
The beds were fairly hard and the people in the room above us were up at 3:30 every morning and were fairly loud. They woke my family every morning, even over the use of sound machines in our rooms.
We were very disappointed in the cleanliness/upkeep of this hotel. We rarely encounter this problem while staying at an IHG hotel.

wouldn't give me a receipt

sun morning 3/30 the around 1130 am desk would not give me a receipt for my stay said something i checked in with a 3rd party.
I checked in under IHG website! then i was like then its suspicious activity on my account who is it by she wouldn't say just a 3rd party then i have the email stating IHG confirmation not a 3rd party. i then said what was i charged on their 3-party site she said couldn't show it or tell me that it was it was private.

Will not stay again

The building did not have any hot water. Was told at 4pm that the problem was fixed and the water should be hot by 6pm. Left the room till around 10:30pm and still no hot water. Staff acted like it was not a big deal. Paid $130 for one night and can't even take a shower to relax. 2 days later I'm still waiting for someone to call me back.

Additional Fraudulent Charges

Today, I received a message from my credit card that the hotel posted an additional fraudulent charge on my card on 3/28/2024 for $122.38. This is the nightmare that just won't quit. I spoke with the manager and I have been assured that the night auditor tonight will attempt to correct it... AGAIN. I have notified IHG on the issue AGAIN. And now, I am having to wait AGAIN to verify whether this time they actually stop putting fraudulent charges on my card. PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!!

I usually have a great stay with this hotel, but I was very disappointed when my wife and I arrived to check in, only to be told that the hotel had made a mistake and overbooked, and We were not offered an upgrade, but instead made to utilize a double queen.

Leak in the ceiling and caused musty smell. May have been mold. Staff acted like they weren’t aware but it has been an obvious issue for a while hence the stains on the ceiling and walls

Front desk staff was horribly rude and unfriendly.

A central London hotel with 52 modern rooms and easy access to Victoria Station and the West End
Holiday Inn Express® London Victoria hotel, housed in a historic building, is a 10-minute walk from Victoria Station , which has express trains to Gatwick Airport (LGW). Pimlico Tube station , with fast links to the city’s main shopping districts and the West End, is only three minutes away. Free on-street parking is available 6:30pm–8:30am on weekdays and all weekend. A car park is within walking distance of the hotel.
The Apollo Victoria and Victoria Palace theatres are a 10-minute walk from the hotel. You are only a couple of Tube stops from the shopping hubs of Bond Street and Oxford Street. Some of London’s major sights, including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament , are less than half an hour away on foot. The nearby Queen Mother Sports Centre has a gym and an indoor pool.
The QEII Centre , one of London’s largest exhibition spaces, is a 30-minute walk from the hotel. The financial districts of The City and Canary Wharf are about 20 minutes away by Tube, and it’s a 40-minute trip to ExCeL London . Business visitors can take advantage of inclusive Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
Guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast each morning, and the Beverley Bar in the lobby serves drinks and snacks until late. There are many dining options in the surrounding area.

One night stay

We stayed overnight here in March and were disappointed in the hotel. We came to check in and waited almost 20 minutes for a staff member to come to the front desk. There was no note stating they were helping a guest/staff, or would be back in a moment. Once we were checked in and went up to our room to find a less than ideal cleaned room. Carpet had stains all over the place. The bedding even had some dirt stains on it. Luckily, we were only in the room to sleep basically as it’s so tiny. I have stayed at multiple Holiday Inn Express hotels and this was not up to the standard the hotel chain usually has. I would suggest finding a different hotel in the same price range unless you just need somewhere to sleep.
