If driving to visit us, we do offer on-site parking in/out privileges for an additional charge of $34.00/night plus tax. Our comfortable and modern accommodation is your wonderful choice for both business and leisure travels. Within walking distance to almost everything a guest comes to New Orleans to see, the hotel borders the French Quarter, is in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District and is an ideal setting for business travelers, also home to Shell Oil Company and Entergy Corporation. Nearby, famous attractions include Outlet Collection Shopping Mall, Bourbon Street, National World War II Museum and the Children's Museum, located just a short walk away. Bad experience

We arrived on a Sunday about 10 am. The Check In was 3 pm. The front Lady on that day wasn‘t very unfriendly and told us we have to wait for the room till 3 pm, that means 5 hours, because of the housekeeping. We never experienced something ignorant like this. Every hotel gives the guests their room earlier when it is ready. Check Out is 11 am so they seemed to let us wait there till the whole hotel was cleaned! A lot of guests on that day shared this terrible experience and we complained about it. My mother is 65 years old and felt really bad because of the heat. She had to lay down in the lobby and nobody of the staff even blinked an eye about that or expressed sympathy. Just shameful! Never had this in another hotel before and after that too! By the way, the pool and the carpet in the room was far from clean too.

Poor experience from a platinum member

Ive never had to leave a negative review at ihg despite staying at many of their hotels but this really was a disappointing stay. Room were a bit cramped especially the bathrooms. Somewhat understandable given it’s in downtown but the bathroom layout seemed a bit hazardous with the corner of the sink right on the boundary of the bathtub. Had to be extra careful when bathing our kids. Rooms also really need updating.
But the most unfortunate part was at breakfast and really the main reason I even bothered to write a review. Usually kids eat free and we’ve never had an issue with this. However after being told by the waitress that the kids can just eat from the buffet if both adults order an entree (which is what other holiday inns have offered us in the past), a manager then came and said the kids only eat free if we each buy a buffet which was a ridiculous $34. So our options were to either get ripped off by paying this insane amount for each parent or to pay $18 for each kids dish which is something we’ve never done at a basic restaurant. The manager wasn’t particularly kind either. It’s infuriating that platinum members are not only no longer seemingly getting any real perks (can’t even remember the last time I was actually given a free upgrade on a room or anything more than a useless 500 extra points at check in) but now they are treating us in such a disrespectful manner as well now. We were left scrambling to find a new breakfast place with 3 hungry kids. Fortunately we found a great diner a couple streets down for half the price we would’ve paid. we received better treatment from complete strangers than we did from the chain with whom Im a platinum member with and credit card holder. Well we’ll see how much longer about the credit card part . I can overlook the less than stellar rooms at some locations but the poor treatment for someone who is a loyal platinum member is hard to ignore.

Won’t stay here again

No housekeeping service in 2 days. I understand not a full room cleaning service and appreciate that, but no fresh towels and the trash was not emptied during my entire stay.
Also, front desk not helpful. An inconsiderate guest parked improperly against my vehicle so I couldn’t access the drivers side. I asked the desk clerk to contact the guest to move, but she would not. She said she has no way to know whose vehicle it was, but I stay over 100 nights a year in IHG hotels and every time I fill out a form with my vehicle info.
I will not stay at this location again.

Nothing fancy but served its purpose

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful as I was waiting for a package. Free full breakfast every morning was convenient. It’s nothing fancy and older but for what we needed it was fine. Beds are great.

We were visiting family from out of town for two nights. The first night and next day we did not have hot water in the bathroom. When we spoke to other people staying there, they did not have hot water either.

The shuttle bus driver slept through the 3:00 AM pick up. We all waited outside in the cold for 48 minutes!!! Then when I finally got in my room to take a shower at 4:00 in the morning, there were absolutely no bath towels! Only 2 hand towels, and 2 washcloths!!

horrible staff

Have stayed here two times in one year and both times the front desk staff was horrible. This stay the fella both nights sat in his running car outside the lobby smoking(not sure what was being smoked) Customers had to go outside to ask him for help. At both stays it seemed like it was a party, loud people, lots of noises. The bathroom in both stays was not clean. Last time we stay here.

Breakfast is standard fare for HIE.
The room was hot and wouldn’t get cooler than 78 degrees. It took a day to find a solution where we moved to a room with A/C working.
The pool was borderline hot at 7p. It wasn’t from the sun, but from the jets where the water coming out was very hot. And yes, I’m talking about the pool and not the hot tub.
The staff were all friendly.
The room was hot and wouldn’t get cooler than 78 degrees. It took a day to find a solution where we moved to a room with A/C working.

My stay would have been excellent had it not been for the constant knocking on the roof. It was addressed every night but one. No one could find the answer to the problem. They tried to find the solution but at the end of our stay the knocking continued.
