Enjoy staying at one of the finest hotels Canandaigua has to offer. Well positioned near all attractions and historic downtown Canandaigua. We're located a half mile from the beautiful Canandaigua Lake and just a short drive from Bristol Mountain Ski Resort. With Roseland Water Park next door, families will be sure to enjoy this recreation as well. Rochester International Airport is a 40-minute drive to our hotel. Our property boasts on service and our friendly staff will be sure to help plan your trip around town including attractions New York Culinary and Wine Center, Canandaigua Lake, Seneca Lake (Geneva), Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack, Sonnenberg Gardens, CMAC Performing Arts Center, Finger Lakes Community College, and Canandaigua Speedway.

We have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express facilities and were always happy with our stay, except for this time. We were very unhappy with our stay. It will take us a while to want to stay in a Holiday Inn Express again.

At the request of my wife this was the first time booking a five star hotel. The room we were given was not made up. There were no linens or bedding. It took 4 calls to the front desk to get an answer and a total of about 20 mins before we were given another room.
We had requested a crib prior to arriving and had to wait another 29 mins after being reassigned to wait gut the crib. I guess I was expecting more for the extra money spent.
The tile in the shower was also falling apart. It looked like a DIY repair job on tile that was not put in correctly.
There are neon lights above the windows on the outside that flashed all night and neither the blind or black out curtain kept the flashing light out of the room.
The staff was friendly, the bed was good and the breakfast was as great as well. It will be hard for me to ever spend this extra money for a five star hotel if the experience is no better than a 3 star.

If you want a good hotel, trust me, this isn't it. The rooms aren't clean, the facilities are lacking, etc. Our tub wouldn't drain, the elevator was broken and we were on eve fourth floor, and we didn't get so much as an apology. It was a pretty bad experience all around.

Inspire of requesting the room to be cleaned ,it wasn't cleaned. The location is very good of the hotel. That's the reason for us to choose this hotel but am really disappointed with the cleanliness.

Beds as usual are way to hard. But I was told you can ask for an extra comforter and lay on that. The food was cereal and granola bars, due to "Covid". The pool was outright disgusting it was murky and filmy.
A/C worked well. The glass shower door came off the track and hit my wife, didnt break but I couldnt take a shower after that. I told the lady up front but she just said "well ill have someone go take care of it" then checked me out of my room. Not really satisfied with the whole experience.

When we first checked in and walked into the room, the toilet seat and lid were both up like a man had just been in there and the bed was a little messed up as if someone had been laying down and there was also crumbs in the sitting chair in the corner. Our room was on the 4th floor and we took our ice bucket to get ice....the ice machine on the 4th floor was broken so we went to the 3rd floor-no ice machine- went to the 2nd floor and that ice machine was broken so we had to go to the 1st floor to get ice and when we came back to our room the ice was dirty with food crumbs in the ice. The next morning there was absolutely no hot water or water pressure in the shower. I have stayed at this location several times in the past and never had any issues, but it's been a couple of years ago. I was disappointed. Overall, you just get what you pay for.
