Walls So Thin I Heard Neighbor Open a Can

Stay here if you want to party, not if you want to sleep. The walls are so thin that I heard my neighbor open a can of something. Courtney at the front desk, was able to move me to another room that was in an isolated part of the hotel, but I was there for 3 nights, and the second night a group of highschoolers checked into the room across the hall from me. They spent the night going in and out of the room, and each time the room door closed, it made so much noise that it woke me up multiple times during the night. I was told that I couldn’t move rooms at that point.In addition, housekeeping didn’t take the trash out.

I recently stayed, and the IHG Web site had the hotel boasting of its Wonderful Bar and Fully Equipped Fitness Centre. Neither of these things existed, the bar and restaurant had been closed for some time and the fitness centre was not accessible due to the swimming pool also being closed. Breakfast was a handful of grab and goo fruits and yogurts (unchilled). It was just on a table in the corner of the reception. I requested to be contacted by a manager, but nothing. Don’t go, I’ve reported it to IHG

Could be better, disappointed

Room was dirty at check in, beds were uncomfortable, and thermostat wouldn't drop below 67 which made the room a little warm at night. Complimentary lobby coffee was only available Friday morning, even when brought to staff attention and we were told it was brewing. In room coffee pods/cups were not replaced by housekeeping. Staff put up signs in the lobby that everyone "must" be in their rooms by 10 pm with no exceptions. Customers were waiting at front deks for assistance for 10+ minutes. Overall this was not a comfortable experience and we did not feel welcome.

I was treated unacceptable. My room was not clean and was told to come down stair get my towels. also had to go down early morning to get toilet paper and Kleenex.

One elevator was broken all weekend, evening desk staff lazy and unhelpful. No towels available apparently after house keeping leaves for the day?! Men's bathroom out of order in lobby. The hotel needs a complete overhaul, I feel like I was robbed for $500 for a two night stay at this hotel.

The Hotel Indigo Birmingham is located in a landmark Art Deco style building dating from the early 1930s in the city's historic Five Points South neighborhood. The hotel is situated in the booming and vibrant town of Birmingham near UAB. Hotel Indigo is set in the lively and roaring entertainment district of Birmingham, reminiscent of Bourbon street. Originally designed for medical offices and across from the first apothecary in Birmingham, the building became a hotel in the 1980s, but still retains its original medical insignia etched above the elevator doors. The hotel's design acknowledges the building's rich history, while incorporating modern amenities, like hardwood floors, spa inspired showers, luxury bath amenities and linens. We are also adding some exciting and tasty options to an area already known as one of the city's premier dining and entertainment districts. The Rx Lounge pays homage to the medical apothecary theme and provides prescriptions in the form of food and beverage.

Noisy hotel, limited staff.

Hotel staff that was there was friendly. It’s just limited. Same waitress also made our breakfast which was not what we ordered. You can’t control your room temp without contacting the front desk which is dumb. The hotel is very noisy due to street cars and bars. Newly renovated but poor workmanship is shown as the faucets weren’t properly installed.

Stayed at this holiday for my husband's graduation from Fort jackson. When I arrived on Tuesday I was greeted nicely and warmly by the receptionist( didn't get her name, but she's a black Older woman). Very kind, friendly and patient. Thank you to her and im sorry I forgot your name🫂💕. Moving along, I stayed from tues22 to Friday25. Everything was great until checkout time. I sincerely didn't know I am supposed to check out at 12pm. I told a first person that came to my door that I would be checking out at 3pm. She said nothing and moved on. Few minutes later, this woman comes to my door banging the door so hard that it even scared my children. I rushed to the door, wondering wth is going on and before I could even speak she immediately starts yelling at me that I must leave, I must check out at 12. In this hotel checkout is at 12pm. I'm telling her I did not know that. She then proceeds to tell me a LIE that downstairs on the front is posted with a sign that says so. She continues to say that you've been in hotels before. No hotel has checkout after 12pm. Anyways after our back n forth I pack up and left the room...went downstairs to the front desk and was told that 1- there is no sign posted anywhere about that. It's only written on the paper you sign, which you dont even get a copy of. and 2-i can request a late checkout. This woman came to my door didn't offer a solution or any information to help this little misunderstanding about checking out. She is a horrible person and it's sad that she is the General manager at this establishment. I got her Information. Her name is Staci Hanayik. Such a horrible horrible person. I won't turn my back on the hotel but I will NEVER address this woman ever again in my life!

Dirty room with ants and they kept my money!!

The room was filthy and had ants, but a different room was not available. I requested a refund and was told I should take pictures and talk to the manager on Monday. The manager said he would look into it and call back that day. He didn't. The following day when I called, he said he was keeping about $100 because we spent 20 minutes in the room, which is not true. He also said it is Spring and that ants are normal. Obtw, the ants went from one side of the bed to the other side up onto the middle bedside table. Yuck, not normal. I am so disappointed in Holiday Inn on so many different levels! Totally unacceptable customer service. I should receive a full refund, an apology, and a request to give them another chance.

Our hotel is perfect for those seeking cozy accommodations in the midst of a bustling business district. The location in Lincolnshire Corporate Center is also conveniently close to Vernon HIlls, Deerfield and Buffalo Grove.
Our business travelers enjoy perks like free Wi-Fi access, as well as proximity to such corporations as Abbott, Grainger, Stevenson HS, Great Lakes Naval Base, AON & Alight. Guests also appreciate the hotel's location in Lincolnshire Corporate Center, which has easy access to many suburban Chicago destinations that surround Lincolnshire.

Site access is convenient and traffic was easy. The staff are friendly but the car valet is $80/night. River cruises within 5 minute walk, Magnificent Mile is close, walkable and outside. Room is cosy but does not have clothes drawers. Small coffee cups, limited servings. Corner Suites have no view. Shower pressure is good. City view is looking at next building. Food quality was medium at hotel and downtown area (tourist).
