Stay OK but bed not clean

We stayed at this Holiday Express for two nights. Our stay was OK.
However, the first night when my wife had changed to her pajamas, she found the sheets of the bed were dirty with hair and cut nail pieces. When she requested cleaning she was told they could give us a different room as there was no cleaning service. She refused to change clothes and pack up again. So they offered to provide a set of sheets and pillow covers that she had to change the make up the bed herself!

First floor room was damp and smelled moldy. The breakfast, which was paid in advance, was a disappointment. Understaffed, dirty and questionably trained waitstaff forced an early departure. Fortunately, without question, the front desk refunded breakfast.

Great hotel a few years ago, but lack of maintenance you don’t get what you’re paying for

So this hotel, I stayed out a few times we usually come out for a combination of business and pleasure this last time though it was absolutely atrocious you spend close to $350 for a double room we get into it. The room was not ready at agreed-upon time we had to wait another hour go to charge our car. This place is so out of date doesn’t even have EV chargers.
So we had to drive to another location to do that get to the room finally but start with half the lightbulbs were missing out of the fixtures
Water pressure in the bathroom was atrocious even though they’re brand new showers. The water pressure was so weak. I was barely able to wash off as a man. I can only imagine my wife and my three daughters with their hair.

And then on top of that, the beds were horrible. I’ve had better softer beds in county prisons than I have at a mid range hotel lack of maintenance lack of attentiveness from the management. This hotel is starting to tip the tide towards downhill. This is a turning point they didn’t intake a couple of bucks and take proper maintenance and train their staff on how to report issues.
We have still another 6 to 8 planned trips in the area. I am going to find another hotel to reach out to you because this is unacceptable for the money I’m spending.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Haltom City - Ft Worth, an IHG hotel situated in Haltom City provides a smooth, efficient and engaging experience by focusing on key features that are most important to today's travelers. Poor Service- Shady Business and Possible Theft

I checked in on Monday and was supposed to stay until Friday. When I got my room it was late. Room was humid sheets were damp bathroom shower was dirty and the room felt like it wasn’t clean. Called and asked for a room change for next day. I got in late and was exhausted from travel or I would have done it that night. The clerk on the phone said she would note it for the morning staff. Came down in morning for room the room Change and was checked out. She asked me for my card and ID again. I asked her why I would I need to do that for a simple room change. She lied and said the hotel does it this way. I told her I’ve never heard of this and I stay at holiday for work quite a bit and they have never checked me out and then checked me in again for a room change. She said this hotel does it that way. That is against the rules even if it’s an independent property they should follow holiday business practices. I immediately felt uncomfortable and decided not to stay the entire trip. This hotel is shady. In the whole mess with the hotel I ended up leaving my meds upstairs and go figure when I called to see if someone could retrieve them from the room they were “not there”.

Someone checked in under my app. They argued with me that I had Already checked in. Gave me my keys and I walked in on someone else. They had given my room to someone else. How is that even possible? At 10:30pm front desk lady knocked on my door just to verify my name. No apologies, no discount, nothing.

The hotel front desk lady blonde hair was super ditsy and rude and displeasing customer service. Would tell me huh instead of a professional manner. Room was dirty. Walls were dirty needs to be painted or wiped down. Doors dirty. Shower had hairs, bed sheets had multiple stains on the 2 queen beds in room 4210. Overall not coming back. I used to work for IHG in ABQ and would never treat my guests the way I was treated.

Corporate travelers can use the on-site, 625-sq-ft meeting room for small events. We have an on-site Business Center to fit your needs while traveling. There was no one in front of me waiting to check in and it’s hard for me to believe that not one room was ready at two or 230 that day and when other people walked in and wanted to check in at about three, they were checking them in while we were still sitting there waiting when I went back to the desk someone came out from the back and said oh Miss Crutchfield, you can check in now Very very poor Customer Service
