Would not stay again

This hotel is very run down. The hot tub didn't work, there was one towel in the room, the room keys would stop working and we would have to go down to lobby to fix. We would not stay here again. The only positive is the breakfast was pretty good.

Extremely poor attitude from the Managent

The attitude of the manager was definitely below IHG standards. Although I accept that extended checkout is at his discretion; the languages and the attitude demonstrated by the Manager (Alvin I believe) in declining my late check out request was so unpleasant that it infact ruined all the stay experience.

Guest Experience Feedback – Poor Service and Conditions

I feel compelled to share how frustrating and disappointing my recent stay at your Holiday Inn Express was. I had expected a basic level of comfort and customer service, but instead encountered a series of issues that left me regretting my choice.

From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff made little effort to be welcoming or helpful. When I raised concerns later in my stay, I was met not with empathy or problem-solving, but with defensiveness and a dismissive attitude — essentially saying, “That’s just how it is here, so what do you want me to do?” This kind of response is unacceptable in any hospitality setting.

The room itself was equally problematic. The blanket was poorly maintained — the inside filling had clumped entirely to one side, a clear sign of improper laundering. The air conditioning barely functioned, and the walls were so thin I could hear everything in the hallway and the adjacent rooms. Rest was nearly impossible.

To make matters worse, a group of disruptive guests — possibly part of a motorcycle group — were revving engines, triggering car alarms, and stomping through the hallways late at night. These individuals were staying at the hotel and creating an environment that was loud, chaotic, and deeply unsettling.

I brought up these concerns directly to staff during my stay, hoping for resolution, but the experience was dismissed. That’s what prompted me to write this. If this is considered acceptable at Holiday Inn Express, then it says a lot about the brand’s standards — or lack thereof.

I’m asking for acknowledgment of this experience and a clear explanation of how this situation will be addressed moving forward. Until then, I cannot recommend Holiday Inn Express and will be cautious about staying at any IHG property in the future.

Too Tight but Great Service

The value for the money was very poor. I expected more from the Holiday Inn Express. Room was so tight that the luggage cart barely fit between the bed and the dresser leaving no room to move to unload luggage and other items from cart. Bathroom was also smaller than other Holiday Inn Express motels I've used in the past. I don't have claustrophobia but this room made me feel as though I did. Very uncomfortable and would not recommend.
But the staff at registration was exceptional. I didn't get his name but he could not do enough for us to make us feel welcome which was a breath of fresh air.

Not impressed, will not go back

Not impressed. No glasses in the room for water. Bathroom was not very clean. Dirty wash cloth was left in the room. Coffee in the room not great. No other coffee available in the entire hotel room even if we wanted to pay for it. :(

Couldn’t sleep

There was a loud buzzing noise that kept coming on during the night, woke me up and I couldn’t sleep. Half of the outlets in the room didn’t work either. The room was clean though.

Good room bad service

I arrived around 3:30pm, came to the front desk,
made the checking process and the receptionist gave me my room key, my family and I went to our room after 6 hours of driving and the room was open. The housekeeping in charge of my room was at the room in front of ours and she told me our room wasn't ready....that the room waa very dirty and needed more time, I had to go back to get another room and the receptionist told me "oh! You can wait for that room 225, it is big and your kid can run how much he wants" not even an apology or minimum effort to understand that we were tired and needed the room ASAP. I asked please just give us whatever you have available, finally we got another room (2 nights reservation) but next day we went out back to rest around 1pm, my toddler was sleeping on my arms and when we tried to opern the room door, the room key didnt work... so I had to go back to front desk to request assistance, at this time was very disappointed about the service. I loved the town and facilities looks like they work on them to renew them, but will be nice to work in customer service....

I usually love this hotel

I’ve stayed here at least 50 nights over the last 10 years and I’m not sure if I will stay again. They built an outside sitting area which is nice but people were outside laughing and being loud till after midnight. I have to be up at 5 so not a lot of sleep. I wish they would close the outside area at 10! This is completely reasonable. We will see if I stay here again.
