Everything was great. Till the next morning when I woke up. I found an earring in the bed between the blanket and the sheets. This would lead me to believe that the sheets and blanket were not washed after the last guest left. Gross!

Der Check Inn war sehr gut. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer in beiden ging die Klimaanlage nicht. In einem waren morgens nur noch 16,8 Grad im anderen 17,2 Grad. Es wurde nichts warm. Angesprochen darauf sagte man Techniker waren bereits vor Ort aber es geht nicht anders. Wir wollten morgens gleich so früh wie möglich frühstücken da wir noch eine weite Fahrt von rund 1000km vor uns hatten. Es sollte um 6:30 Uhr Frühstück geben. Leider war es erst um 7:04 Uhr fertig zum betreten. Bis dort hin wurde noch in der Küche gearbeitet und immer wieder kleinigkeiten gebracht. Ein Mitarbeiter hatte des öfteren auf die Speisen genißt und sich nicht einmal mit einem Taschentuch vor die Nase gehalten. Dieser Mitarbeiter kam auch erst um 6:45 Uhr. Wir werden dort nicht mehr übernachten

I chose the hotel because it provided a shuttle service to the airport. The facility is modern and has an excellent layout. However, despite being new, the soundproofing in the walls and floors is insufficient. I could hear my neighbors above me chatting and walking around. In the hallway, conversations and televisions from neighboring rooms were audible. The workout room is modern and clean, which I really appreciated.

ENGAÑOS EN LA GESTIÓN DE INCIDENCIAS

Por mala suerte, mis dos hijos tuvieron sendos esguinces la semana que fuimos. Mandamos información con los partes médicos y no tuvieron la decencia ni de hacer un mínimo descuento. Ni siquiera se lo miraron.
Les dije que me informaran antes de ir si me iban a devolver el dinero de los dos niños, que mi mujer y yo si iríamos y no nos dijeron nada. Apuraron los tiempos sin decirnos nada para que no canceláramos y nos cobraron el total de la reserva una vez ya habíamos vuelto a Madrid.
Unos auténticos sinverguenzas ya que claramente no pudieron ir por una causa de fuerza mayor y si me hubieran dicho antes que me iban a cobrar las dos reservas de los niños, podría haber cancelado el viaje aunque hubiera sido con algo de penalización.
El hotel, muy normalito y no muy limpio. Las camas muy duras y las comidas horribles excepto los pastelitos de nata que ponían en los desayunos. Desde luego, su café no hace honor al maravilloso café que puedes tomar en Portugal.
En el baño me encontré también algunos "habitantes" autóctonos de la zona.
Menos mal que el Oporto nos enamoró, aunque nos llovió bastante, porque lo de este hotel mejor olvidar.

Como miembro Diamante tenía derecho a puntos o desayuno. Hice la reserva para mí y dos invitados, desafortunadamente no pude hospedarme.
Pero mis invitados solicitaron se aplicara la opción del desayuno, sin embargo, este no fue obsequiado, argumentando que el titular debería estar presente.
Esta opción ya la había solicitado con anterioridad en otros hoteles de la cadena sin problema para mis invitados.
Espero se pueda aclarar esta situación.

After this stay a refund is in order. The first time we stayed in my pool cases were dirty in my daughter’s top cover had a huge yellow stain on it. The bathroom was filthy.. so I asked to switch rooms got a second room that one seemed to be a little cleaner. The sheets were at least the towels were dirty. There was hair in the bathroom floor was nasty. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed.. The tub was filthy, and the people across the hall from us had checked in before us and they said there was trash all over their floor.. they need a new cleaning staff and new management. This was the worst stay ever with a holiday inn

Excellent Stay, Extra Petite Bathroom

I really want to give a 5 star rating, however, the bathroom size may not suit all guests. I am 5'6 (174 pounds) and could not close the doors of the bathroom. The sink is a little larger than a dentist office rinse basin. I would not recommend if you are claustrophobic. Customer service was stellar as well as conveniently located across the street from the Fox Theater as well as walking distance to quite a few restaurants to include Mary Mac's Tea Room (about a 10 minutes or less walk).

The beds were comfortable. The floor in the room needed vacuumed. There was grit and and dirt. There were stains on the walls. The hallways and common areas needed cleaning and walls needed painting. While the staff were generally nice, overall the property needs updating and cleaning.
