Hotel is a great getaway

This hotel stay was very good for my days of rest. I would recommend other guests stay here. Please make sure that room has good office chairs and their plumbing is good. Had problems with the toilet first but facilities came and fix that problem. My overall stay was very good. The survey is too long and time-consuming.

The good, the bad, the ugly

We stayed at this hotel because it is close to the Superdome where our grandson's Tulane U graduation commencements were to take place. We arrived before 10 am the first day due to our early airline arrival schedule. Had planned to wait around for the 4 pm check-in. But were very pleasantly surprised that the front desk checked us in right away. This was better than good. The decorations throughout are full of New Orleans charm. Very lovely. There always was a guard’s presence and needing a room key to activate the elevator made us feel safe.
The second day was the bad and the ugly part. When we came back from breakfast downstairs. Our room was serviced, except no new towel supply but one unused hand towel left over from yesterday. We asked the housekeeping down the hall, couldn't communicate due to their inability to speak English. We called the front desk twice. The answers were “the towels are coming”. Meanwhile our only towel got soggy from use. I finally went down to the front desk and was told the hotel was fully booked and were waiting for the laundry done. For a nice hotel with this problem is no excuse. This was really bad.
By the time we left for Superdoem@4:15pm, still no towel. When we returned around 8 pm, we got fresh towels. But the towels were semi-wet. When I get in bed the sheet felt damp. Therefore, it took me a long time to finally fell to sleep. This was ugly.
We took three breakfast and one late dinner at the restaurant. The service was excellent. The coffee had no freshly brewed flavor, very disappointing. We ordered four different dinner entrees, everyone was delicious. Overall, the proximity of the hotel location to the Superdome made it worth the stay. The restaurant on location was very convenient.

Clean and comfortable hotel

Fantastic on site restaurant, extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff! Noise level in hotel especially after quiet hours was unacceptable. Rude and drunk/rowdy guests were obnoxious. Do not get a room by the elevator banks, you'll hear the elevator all day and night. Housekeeping had to be reminded to service the room but they did an awesome job.

I am a Platinum member. I exclusively stay at IHG hotels. My last visit to San Antonio I was greeted as a special guest and they offered me complimentary waters.
However, my visit to Corpus was so awful. I arrived a little early and asked if they could keep my luggage until check in and they said they could not accommodate or check me in early. I had to pay $25.00 for parking just to use the wifi and hang out until it was time to check in. Very bad customer service at the front desk. Every one of them were so unfriendly.

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

When I entered the room was surprised to see I was assigned a room for handicapped person. This room was totally unacceptable, dirty, had no mirrors for dressing (professional stay). Went back to the front desk, the clerk called the manager, Frederick, who stated that there were no other rooms & I had to pay the night if I canceled. Got customer service #, after 3 transfers made it to guest relations who spoke with Frederick & finalized to cancel without penalty. Meanwhile, I was on the phone trying to find another hotel, which unfortunately were all booked because it was Mother's Day wknd. The rep stated there were 5 other rooms currently available at this hotel & offered to change my room for the same price as it was not my fault, which I accepted. Stated he made a note to go back to the front desk & they will make the change. Frederick the manager REFUSED. This time he confirmed that there were rooms available, but blatantly said I will NOT get one because those cost $50 more & the rep has no authority to tell him to. At this point HATRED & PREJUDISM reeked from his stare. We went back & forth, but he did not budge. So humiliating! This ran me very late for my meeting (I mentioned this when first got there) & had to leave. Unfortunately kept the room as hotels were booked & I had another meeting early next day. Been with IHG over 15 yrs, this is the most horrible encounter with an employee & hotel. I have never been so scared to stay in a hotel in my life. I did not sleep for a minute. DO NOT GO to Holiday Inn Naples especially if you're not white!

My family and I traveled down for my husbands graduation and we made reservations in December of 24 for these rooms well the day of they change our rooms and didn’t notify ANYONE. We arrived with our party of 6 around midnight to find out that our suite and queen beds were gone and gave us two rooms with a king. I was having a medical episode and I just needed to lay down. We were told well the person who changed this morning that was that and now they “had no rooms” so for two days 6 people had to share a king size bed. They would not help us to fine another hotel to accommodate or give us a refund. I have been going to Holiday Inn for many years and this had been my most unpleasant experience. There was a lady who tried her best for us, but since she wasn’t the manager she couldn’t do anything. To top everything off we overhear the manager and the guy who changed our reservation and they were laughing at it thinking it was funny while we were having breakfast.
