Sleepless night

The main issue for me here is the level of noise that I couldn’t sleep through. I’m not particularly sensitive to sound, but it felt like I was sleeping in the lobby. The room’s lack of insulation might have contributed to this. Also, the bed wasn’t comfortable; I could feel the springs, but the linens were nice. It wasn’t cheap, but I liked the overall cleanliness of the room very thorough.

The facilities aren't kept up

This hotel used to be very nice. It seems as though they are neglecting upkeep. My soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser that should be hanging up was sitting on the back of the tub. Light in the hallway barely worked. My in-laws' room (118) had holes all in the curtains. The escalator remains broken with yellow hazard tape wrapped all around it.

pictures don’t match the room at all and they’ll charge you extra without telling you why. not terrible but not what the pictures show either. front desk staff was very unorganized at check in and didn’t seem to know what they were doing and they weren’t very friendly either.

Champs, our on-site restaurant where kids eat free, is open daily for breakfast and dinner. Our guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities and all include a mini-refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Our indoor swimming pool and gym are available complimentary for all guests, as well as Wi-Fi throughout the building. Flexible meeting space is also available for small business, corporate, or special event gatherings, accommodating 60 guests.

The property was clean and the check-in staff were nice. However, I unknowing started my monthly cycle, and they charged me $150 as a cleaning fee. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.

Nice pool and lobby area, but over priced

4 pools different temperatures from cold to hot. Also pools were very clean. Customer service not the best but OK. I recommend Crowne Plaza Sabana if your visiting Costa Rica. Lounge food was diverse but kind of soggy.

The hotel hallways hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time, received towels with hair still in them, and breakfast was worse than fast food. Broken exterior doors and room door had trouble locking, didn’t feel safe. Worst Holiday Inn stay in a long time, do not recommend this property!

Great Location, Newly Updated Rooms, Horrible Service

The staff was not attentive to our needs especially the housekeeping staff. We made several requests throughout our trip that went ignored. We asked for vacuuming, never was done. Asked for our crib to be removed, never was done. There was a broken shelf in the closet of our room that nearly injured my 1 year old. The shower door didn't fully close creating a huge overflow of water throughout the bathroom every time we showered. There were several other hazardous objects to our baby throughout the room and hotel overall, like the coffee table and the revolving door to the beach that would open in both directions and hit us in the face on each use. Breakfast had horrible service too. I made simple requests like asking for cut up watermelon from the parfait bar and the server would refuse. There were several other similar instances like this, I got tired of complaining.

Worst experience of my life

Staying at this hotel was a nightmare, twice I was moved rooms due to the toilet flooding, the attendant was rude and unprofessional, all the rooms had horrible electrical wiring and none of the plugs worked. When I let the attendant know that the laundry room door was broken and the time was inaccurate she decided to call the police on me and my son with my service animal and have us removed although I paid for another night, I was tossed out in the rain as a tourist. I would never go to this horrid place again!!! Worst time of my life I would go to another town completely!!!
