Need improvement in reception service

Please take this as positive for improvement. I have been to Crowne Plaza in Phu Quoc as well, but the Crowne Plazza in Da Nang is consider as below the standard from my perspective in terms of reception, for design, sizing and staff

Avoid this hotel at all costs. It was beyond DIRTY. My parents, my children, and I couldn’t even walk on the floors in our room because there was a visible film on it from not being cleaned correctly (and not the salt water kind of film, the hasn’t been washed correctly in months kind of film) We even had to shower with shoes on. All of the furniture throughout floor 3, including our room furniture had dings and scratches. Our bathroom had broken floor tiles, rust, chipped paint, the tub was peeling and it had terrible water pressure. Even the ceilings had marks on them and possibly even mold, plus the air vents were dirty and dusty. The glass doors out to the restaurant had dirty hand marks all up and down them, not just from children but from adults and not being cleaned in who knows how long. The food in their restaurant was bad and the kitchen didn’t even have any pasta. The absolute worst part of the entire experience was the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE at the front desk. When my mother tried to bring it to the girls attention at the front desk, I walked away and hesitated telling her all of the issues at that moment and told her it was because I was so displeased but made her aware she’d be hearing it in our review. Instead of her responding with a kind, prideful and proper standard of customer service, her response was “well if she won’t tell me what’s wrong, how can I fix it.” As a customer service representative and past property manager of ten years… the correct response should have been, “We’re sorry to hear this, what can we do to make it right so that you can enjoy your stay and be more comfortable here.” Instead the front desk girl was extremely rude and tried to flip it on me, as though it was my fault the hotel was TRASH. When we requested a room change, we were told nothing else was available. That was a LIE because I got right on my phone and pretended to be a new guest and what do you know… there were 3 rooms available that fit our needs. They failed every way they could have with making the customer happy. The man at the front desk (not even sure he was a front desk attendant but he was standing talking to the front desk girl) was additionally rude when my mom requested more towels for our room. He handed them over to her like she was asking for a lot, when we were just asking for a few extra towels because there were only 3 towels in our room. If you have any type of normal standard of living, DO NOT STAY HERE. They were dirty, they lied to us and the customer service was GARBAGE, just like the hotel! We should be fully refunded for our 1 night stay and when I told them I was going to be leaving an honest and specific review, they had no sense of urgency to fix anything so if there is a quality District or Regional Manager reading this, you should reach out to my mother with an offer to refund the entire stay. Let us know if you’d like photographic evidence of the gross hairball hanging from the light just out of the elevator on the 3rd floor because I have it! Officially the WORST hotel ever.

We arrived at hotel at 4pm. Check in was at 3pm. The lobby was full of people also waiting to check in. No one's room was clean so we had to wait until 5pm for our room. We were going to an event so threw our luggage in the room and left. (We were already running late) When we arrived back to our room at 1am we realized our room was NEVER CLEANED!!! We went downstairs and told the front desk we were leaving. We wanted a full refund as we never stayed in the room! She then told us that we would have to call Monday to get a refund. We then drove home 2 hrs. Monday morning we called and were told NO REFUND!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!! So don't stay at IHG Holiday Inn in North Syracuse! The hotel is a DUMP!!!

Worst check out experience in my 12 years IHG stay

I pretty much enjoyed my two nights stay with this hotel up till the check out moment. I handed the room key card, obviously in a hurry and I was called back loudly by one of the lady working at the front desk. She asked me to stay there for a while( obviously to check whether there was any mini bar consumptions but she didn’t ask me directly) and then I had the worst, longest three minutes simply staying there and I wasn’t briefed any progress bisides being asked where is your other room key card ( since I asked two when checked in). My taxi waiting outside. And after two rounds of asking how’s going, I was greeted by the question that should have been asked politely longtime ago” have you used anything from the minibars “ and then I was allowed to live.

I sent a couple of mails to the hotel and I didn’t get any response besides ironically I got the automatically generated email by saying thanks for staying with us, you got ** points and then I located this place to write this review.

I’m still demanding a firm reply from this hotel although the chance might be rare. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay with this hotel although the staffs from club lounge were pretty welcoming.

Ya nos hemos quedado en otras ocasiones y siempre con un muy buen servicio pero esta ocasiones no fue a lo que estamos acostumbrados. Nos quedamos en la habitación 123 y mi esposo y yo amanecimos con piquetes de chinche con los que aún estamos lideando. Estamos seguros que fue ahí por lo que les escribo para que pongan atención en el tema y esperamos no se vuelva a repetir.

Me había alojado hace unos años y me pareció como vacío. Me sorprendió que no usaran la recepción para el proceso de check in check out, y que se hiciera desde la barra del bar, y que la misma camarera del desayuno fuera la recepcionista.
El desayuno muy justo, los huevos revueltos pastosos, y sin fruta fresca. Lo recordaba mejor.

The room had several defects: the safe did not work, the air conditioning was noisy, the bathtub had an unfinished part under repair, the toilet had a permanent leak and the main door did not close properly.
Breakfast offered no variety in their food and was very scarce. Overall a bad brand hotel.
