Unpleasant Experience and No Help from Staff or Management

There were people running in the hallways after 11:30 p.m. One person spilled out their cans of alcohol from a cardboard box. We had to call the front desk and request they send someone to our floor to handle. From 2 a.m. until we left that morning (around 9 a.m.), there was pounding coming from the floor above. We don't know if someone was practicing dance moves, cheerleading or practicing some other sport all night long. We told the reception desk in the morning about our poor experience and they were unable to do anything. We have called the hotel four times since that time asking for the manager only to be told she was not in.

Roach in my bed

I woke up in the morning with a roach running around in my bed under the sheets. Likewise, later we saw a roach on the wall next to the other queen bed. Management offered no solutions and charged full amount.

It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. There was no parking, no elevators, and insulting and unprofessional staff. A homeless man was living in the restrooms on the main floor. When we reported this to the staff, they seemed aware of the situation. Don't walk away from the property run!

Here at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel Gas City, Indiana, our staff is waiting to show you small town hospitality in our beautifully decorated and conveniently outfitted hotel. Located just off I 69 between Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne, the hotel is in Gas City, Indiana, the heart of James Dean Country and close to both Taylor University and Indiana Wesleyan University . Business travelers find this location at exit 259 off I 69 provides easy access to corporations, including American Woodmark, International Paper, General Motors, Weaver Popcorn, Butterworth Industries and a Walmart Distribution Center . The complimentary high-speed Internet access makes it easy to keep in touch with the home office while you enjoy the hotel's relaxing atmosphere. In Gas City, Indiana, there is plenty of family friendly fun. The park and petting zoo are delightful places to unwind, or you can enjoy thrilling races at the Gas City I 69 Speedway. The James Dean Memorial Gallery , along with his birthplace and final resting place, are just down the road in Fairmount and Marion. Holiday Inn® Lancaster hotel is just off the M6, with easy access to the Lake District. The shops and attractions of Lancaster are a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, leave the car in the hotel's free car park and catch a bus to the town centre from the stop outside the hotel. Lancaster Station is served by direct trains to Manchester. Blackpool Airport (BLK) is 40 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The hotel is just 20 minutes' drive from the scenic Lake District National Park. A 10-minute drive from the hotel, the 12th-century Lancaster Castle is surrounded by parkland. Nearby, the riverside Lancaster Maritime Museum occupies a former warehouse. Morecambe Bay, 20 minutes' drive from the hotel, offers coastal walks and seafront cafés. Lancaster University is easily accessible and only a 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.
Business guests are 20 minutes' drive from Heysham Power Station. At the hotel, you can host meetings for up to 100 people in seven flexible conference rooms with AV equipment and free WiFi.
In the relaxed restaurant, start your day with a buffet breakfast, or enjoy an evening meal with family or colleagues. ROOMS COMFORTABLE - don't bother with dinner

Excellent location for onward travel - rooms comfortable although a bit grubby in places ie stains on chair. Find anywhere else for a dinner experience not worth the additional monies charged. Breakfast good. Staff excellent and friendly - waiting staff let down badly by menus (a la carte and set)

Tech Companies like Adobe, Apple, Cisco and Google are all nearby. The SJ Convention Center, SJ State, Santa Clara University, Levi Stadium & SAP Center are also nearby.
Our guestrooms provide comfort to our guests with amenities such as in-room microwave, refrigerator, hairdryer, coffee maker, iron, flat screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast, fitness room with cardio equipment & free weights, a business center, & a meeting space for groups & conferences.

I am an IHG member and have stayed at several IHG facilities throughout the U.S. I stayed at this IHG over a little 2 years ago, which I was very satisfied with stay. This stay I noticed several differences, which made my stay rate lower than I have at any IHG. There was an unpleasant scent when I walked into the facility, there was a $10 charge for parking (which there was not, at my previous stay), we stepped into our room and the same unpleasant scent was in our room, breakfast started at 6:30 am, when I went for breakfast the selections were skimpy; only 3 blueberry muffins, no cinnamon rolls (when I asked for cinnamon rolls, the staff advised “no more”), instead of small carton of milk there was a gallon for everyone to pour from, in other words the cuts & charges were very noticeable.

My wife and I checked in Saturday. We were given a room, it was a little chilly so my wife turned on the heat. Instantly the air unit started and shaking and rattling, then it started smelling like something was burning. We informed the front desk and they moved us rooms. Everything seemed ok and we went out shortly after. Came back late and went to sleep. In the morning I went to shower and noticed something growing out of the shower head. It looked like mold and more started growing out and I could not get myself to shower. I informed the front desk but nothing else was needed as we were checking out.

Terrible GM, he kicked me out for having dogs when it clearly said pet-friendly

I was charged $400 for a 6 1/2 hour stay at this location. The GM is rude and kicked me out for having my two small dogs when it clearly says pet-friendly on the website, even going so far as to say he made the website he knows it doesn’t say pet-friendly.. google IHG Dublin and under hotel details it clearly says pet-friendly! I will not return to this location or IHG if this is the kind of service that is provided!

This hotel is filthy everywhere. The staff is very uncaring. The hotel main systems are unsafe (I was stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes until the Fire Department rescued me).

Water was off, elevator didn’t work, no tv/ Wi-Fi…some overlapped but all happened within a 12 hour time span that I was there! I won’t visit again, and I don’t recommend anyone else too unless you are looking for the bare minimum!
