Nice workers but I got stung by a wasp in my room

The place was kinda dirty which was fine because there was a lot of construction. There was a wasp in my room and it stung me in my sleep. Also the bathroom door was difficult to close, and the TV had a weird cable hanging off it that said 'sensor' or something on it.

This was a poor choice. Should have known when only 10 cars in lot at 7pm on a Sun night. Check in staff struggled to check us in, put us in a handicapped room with was odd at best. Shower wand hose was broken, next morning the dishwasher door doesn't fully open and the shelves didn't operate correctly. TV impossible to operate. We hand washed all the plates and glasses before we used them. Restuarants are miles away.

Elevator was not working

My only complaint is that for our entire stay the elevator was not working. I'm in my '70s and dragging 2 pieces of luggage up and down to/from the 3rd floor was a bit of a task.
I've stayed at this location a number of times and the broken elevator seems to happen often.

I will never stay here ever again as I feel we were discriminated against for having service animals and the staff is not friendly at all.
I was told my dirty linens stunk and I couldn’t wipe my dogs with them. I would never even tell this to a family member much less a customer. I changed my own beds bought a vacuum to clean my room and had room service 1 time the entire 6 weeks I stayed here. I guess because of my dogs. They ration out their towels and get upset if you ask for more . I hate this place if it wasn’t in such a small town where we had more options we would have left .

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Up to Voco or IHG Standards

My recent stay at Voco Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing and did not meet my expectations at all.

To begin with, the bathroom was not properly cleaned there was hair in the shower area. On the following day, when I requested housekeeping service, the bedsheets were not changed, and one of the beds wasn’t even properly made. I have a photo as proof and I’m certain the sheets were not replaced. When I lifted the blanket, I found hair!! which was extremely unpleasant.
Additionally, the tissue box had been empty since the day before and was neither refilled nor thrown away. They also didn’t provide new toothbrushes the next day, which I expected from a hotel of this standard.
The pillows were very uncomfortable compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at, and the breakfast was below average far from what I would expect from a hotel under the Voco name, especially as part of the IHG group.
Considering my previous amazing experiences with IHG properties in terms of service, cleanliness, and hospitality, I truly regret this stay. This experience was far from what I’ve come to expect

I wanted to be able to relax either by swimming or in the hot tub. I could do neither both were dirty l. The hot tub had mold and to much chlorine in it. The pool u could see that it had to been clean.

I booked a room for my parents, and the room I booked is not the room they received, therefore, the rate should have been adjusted. I booked a one bedroom suite and they had a studio suite, room 300. The location is great and the room was clean, but the rate should’ve been changed to accommodate the studio suite they were in.

Luckily we requested a bottom floor because the elevator was broken and because of a physical disability I cannot use stairs. The front desk employee was so nice! People were calling non-stop for items and he was running up and down the stairs to deliver them to customers.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn of Rockford, IL conveniently located at exit 15 of I-39/90 for all your business and leisure needs while in the Rockford/Belvidere, IL region. We are located near many businesses like General Mills, Collins Aerospace, Ingersoll Cutting Tools, Exelon Byron Nuclear Generating Station and all regional medical facilities/hospitals of MercyHealth, OSF Healthcare/St. Anthony Hospital, UW Health (formerly SwedishAmerican). We are also near many regional sports facilities like the MercyHealth Sportscore Two and One, UW Health Sports Factory, BMO Center, Carlson or Riverview Ice Arenas. Other nearby attractions include Rockford Casino (A Hard Rock Casino Opening Act), Midway Village Museum Center, Anderson Japanese Gardens, Discovery Center/Burpee Museum campus, Coronado Performing Arts Center, Klehm Arboretum. Old smoky building not great service

This is definitely an older building slow elevators and a smoky back entrance that follows you to your room. Thought this was a newer or better renovated building. The back entrance felt like stepping into a ball pit with a weird uneven entryway with no directions where to go. The staff at check in and check out were not very friendly and checkout didn’t even make eye contact or thank for stay. The food was overpriced at a restaurant that seemed like some stuff sat for an hour. The entire hallway and room smelled like stale cigarettes and smoke, bloody noses for two out of three in our room. Pillows were squishy and left with a headache and a sore neck. Not to mention pricier than others in the area by almost $100.
