Beware Bad Mgmt-Needs Attention

Extremely disappointed with our stay, and manager, Anthony Aguilar, showed no concern for issues. We are IHG reward members, and stay frequently. This property is not Staybridge quality or worth price. At $400+ night (grad weekend) expect a great stay. We spent extra for the addl space, but not worth frustration.
Issues:
1) ants-it’s Texas and near summer. It’s a common issue BUT when front desk told about issue…they said there is nothing we can do until maybe the next day. I asked if they could at least spray or something so we didn’t get ants in our stuff (there were alot) and was handed a can of Raid to spray the rm myself. The hotel never followed up.
2) breaker tripped to lights in rm for no identifable reason, phone doesn’t wk and noone answered front desk from cell call, so downstairs at 7am to get help
3)SIL stepped on shard of glass on floor at edge of sofa and cut foot
4)poor repair-phone didn’t work, coffee maker damaged, yellow stains on mattress on hideaway bed
5)extra fee for addl adults in room (total of 5 ppl) and only 3 towel sets. Another trip to desk to get more since phone doesn’t work.
6)blood drops on elevator floor two day in a row…they obviously don’t mop/clean regularly

Our tv did not work. Staff was not able to provide adequate additional towels. Discount was offered. Never receive. Front desk member Anna lacked initiative and had a dismissive attitude, further frustrating the situation.

I was told to park in the parking lot across the street, they didn't inform me that it was paid parking so I woke up to a 70 dollar ticket! The room didn't have a cord for the telephone so couldn't call down for services. The TV didn't work. I ask for a late check out and the night guy said he didn't have access to the computer to do that call in the morning! Point of late check out is to sleep in a bit and if he access the computer how could he check in new guest! We won't be staying there again

A brand-new hotel located 15 minutes from everywhere you want to be! Our central location at the southeast corner of the Dolphin and Palmetto Expressway and 826 and 836 Freeways puts you just minutes from Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and downtown Miami. It’s also an easy drive to the University of Miami, Doral Country Club, American Airlines Arena and several nearby beaches, as well as shopping at the nearby Miami International Mall, Mall of the Americas and Dolphin Mall.
At our hotel, waterfront views are just steps from your room as the outdoor patio and pool overlook Lake Mahar. Our state of the art fitness center provides everything you need to stay healthy on the road. When you’re ready to recharge, retreat to your spacious guest room with a living room that can be used as a separate workspace area.

Awful Avoid at All Cost

Let’s start with the disorganization of the shuttle. One driver who is rude as can be and after being told 5 mins (4) times. 57 mins later we had a shuttle. The room was dirty, bathtub was dirty, and we had no toilet paper. We also had 1 towel and a AC unit that didn’t cool.
The manager is clueless and couldn’t help with anything. No reason he needs to be a manager of anything.
Breakfast was cold nasty and never had anything stocked.
And if review. Avoid this disaster.
Highly suggest avoiding this property.
