This was our first stay at Crowne Plaza Christchurch. The location is very central and allows you to wander around the Christchurch CBD, a lot of it rebuilt since the earthquake a decade ago. The hotel is new, modern in outlook and the staff are friendly. I have given CPChCh a star less for value because they charge you for making barista coffee at breakfast. This used to be the norm about a decade ago but most hotels (including IHGs) have moved on. Otherwise the hotel is highly recommended.

We enjoy staying at the Voco Auckland. The staff are helpful, the breakfast fine and the rooms are well cared for. It's location is ideal for wandering around the Auckland CBD. However I need to sound a warning about the taxis parked in front of the hotel. Some will rip you off without battering an eyelid - this is based on personal experience. I suggest asking the front desk to get you a taxi or better still using Uber.
