On the 10th of March I received an email from the assistant club manager with information about my upcoming stay. Private registration for check in & checkout with a personalised Concierge.
That didn't happen. I went to check in upstairs. I'm told that I have a king room not the twin I requested. I have never requested twin beds. Sorted & I have a king room. Then a pleasant young man takes over & checks me in. When he starts explaing that I haven't included breakfast in my booking but I can charge breakfast to my room. I then asked about breakfasting the Club lounge & show him my booking. He then looks & finds my welcoming letter. In the letter is mention of a welcoming something. That something turned up the next day & was some lovely looking fruit, that was still rock hard, except for a plum, when we checked out 5 days later. The whole incident was extremely disappointing. This is not how a 5 star hotel operates.
