For a value suite it works. Rooms don't feel very clean. Staff is very rude or crazy. Completely screwed up our check in and reservations. Tried over charging. If you stay more than one day you have to clean your own room or be out at the times they want you out. Housekeepers rush you out next day. Pool door was broke had to get staff each time. Grounds are super crammed tight.

Planned to spend the weekend to get away from the daily grind and used my points as a repeat IHG customer to book in San Angelo. Upon arrival the guy at front desk had no clue how to check me in so he just handed me a key. Never checked my ID and gave me a different room than what I booked. While trying to check out at 7am in the morning it was discovered that my points were not used and I was charged full rate. Again, the same guy at the front desk had no clue how to fix the problem he caused the night before and tried to call the manager. I was told the manager would be in around 9 am. I left to eat breakfast. When I came back the manager had not arrived and I was told he was on the 3rd floor and would be downstairs at 10. It was 9:10, I was going to have to wait 50 minutes for the manager to come down stars. I left my phone number and asked for the manager to call me. When I came back at 10 to speak to the manager, who had never called, the same clueless front desk associate told me the manager had credited back my account but could not provide any documentation indicating ANYTHING had happened. At this point after waiting 3 hours to check out I was quite upset that I was being treated as a problem rather than a customer. The clueless front desk associate was quite upset that I would not just go away and kept asking why I was still there. I stated that I wanted to talk to the manager, clueless front desk associate stated that the manager was not there, I asked for him to call the manager which I assume he did but would not let me talk to him or give me the managers number he just kept saying to the manager " I don't know why the guy is still here, I told him you credited back his card, he just wont leave." I stated that I would be happy to leave when the manager came to speak to me because simply crediting back my card was not enough for a 3 hour check out where I have been lied to about the managers availability. The clueless front desk associate stated that he "did not like my tone and was coming around the desk to talk to me face to face". I took this as another example of this persons lack of customer service and hospitality training. He came around the desk and attempted to intimidate me into leaving. I again asked to speak to the manager and he again talked to the manager on the phone and again repeated that he did not understand what the problem was and why I wouldn't just leave. Needles to say I have disputed all charges on my credit card to this location. I expect that maybe someone who actually cares about customer service may call me. I want my points back too.

Birthday Stay gone wrong

I asked for an extended checkout and was informed that it was possible however the next morning I called the front desk and was very rudely told that the request would NOT be honored. The guy was so rude he wouldn’t even explain why. Just a simple no. I’m a Spire Elite member and it was my birthday.
In addition, on the night of my stay as I was in bed asleep, the fire alarm went off for approximately 30 mins. Again, no one provided an explanation as to why.

Serious bedbug problem,

When we arrived the lady that registered us in was very polite an nice she met all of my requirements.the rooms was nice and clean ,beds comfortable, kitchen area was ok after being there for 3night I got up on that Sunday morning to fix us some breakfast an noticed that bug was coming in up under the door so I mashed them.on the door an it was bedbugs.the lady that checked me in and the supposed to had been a inspector came to the room to check it out. but the inspector stated that she didn't know what to look for as far as the bedbug.so she wasn't no help in this problem but the front desk clerk knew that they was bedbug an said she was calling someone about it

We stayed here for a family wedding. The floors were sticky so I kept my shoes on. I slipped in the tub because they were slippery. The shower curtain didn’t stay closed and dropped to the center. Had to ask for clean towels. No corkscrew in the entire building. Rooms were noisy. We could hear people next door and in the hall in early morning hours. We had 3 bottles of shampoo no conditioner and no body wash or soap. Terrible hotel experience.

I will never stay at this property again. The room was dirty, very small and cramped and it smelled bad. The front desk clerk was rude. Also, I waited over an hour for the hotel shuttle.

Horrible Stay

I generally don't like to complain; however, we were at this property for one night with our kids and I have never had such a horrible night. Beginning at 10:00pm, the room across the hall started slamming doors and yelling in the hallway. I looked through the peep hole and noticed coolers coming in and much more people that the room could legally hold. I promptly called the front desk. They put me on hold while they called the room and then came back to tell me that they denied everything. The party continued and after they had woke up our 6 year old at around 11:30, I called the front desk again. They stated that all they could do was call the room and ask them to quiet down. Again at 3:00am I was awoken by the noise. I took matters into my own hands and stepped out into the hall and confronted the occupants myself and asked them to be quiet. I should not have had to do this. I truly believe something more should have been done. We were in a hurry to meet the rest of our family when we checked out, so we did not talk to a manager at that time. We only stay at IHG properties and have never had this many issues.

Gave constant run around about items we accidently left in room that a family member would come back after Funeral and pick up. First it was housecleaning had their on lost and found call back in the a.m. Then it was their area was locked, and I will have to look thru all other lost and found. Here is a concept. If something is found in the room put it in a laundry plastic bag with room number and drop at front desk. Front desk clerk can look up name and add that. last but not least perform customer service and call the customer who just paid your salary and don't steal their mossy Oak shirt(s) they forgot rushing to get to their travel destination.

Staff in serious need of hospitality training! Desk Bedside Lamp did not work. Bathroom Sink Faucet loose. Soap empty at sink. Shower door falling off shower door. No Orange Juice at Breakfast. No regular Tea, only Green Tea at Breakfast. Breakfast Hot Water Dispenser did not work. Completed form to have room made up. Room Never ever made up. Desk Clerk said "Move stuff off your floor" when passing through lobby. Removed packages from floor. When requested fresh linen delivered last night staff member yelled, "Don't blame me! Not my fault!" Trash overflowing at every outside container. Sad such a new hotel has no preventive maintenance or hospitality training. Will never be back.
