Holiday Inn Express San Francisco Airport North is centrally located just one mile north of San Francisco International Airport and minutes from San Francisco's world famous attractions such as the Moscone Center, Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, AT&T Park, Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, and the Chase Center. Companies such as Genentech, SuccessFactors, and other South San Francisco companies are all within five minutes from the hotel’s central location. Complimentary amenities with each night's stay include a complimentary hot morning breakfast buffet, complimentary scheduled San Francisco International Airport and BART station shuttle service, complimentary high-speed wired and wireless internet access, and complimentary use of the hotel's 24-hour business center.

Great hotel, standards have slipped.

I have stayed at this hotel even before it was a Crown Plaza and have always had a great stay. The location is perfect for Euston and Kings Cross and the tube lines to the City and the night life.
Unfortunately this latest stay wasn't anywhere near the quality or standard I have experienced before. A cold atmosphere awaits you with one person on reception also manning the phones, Perhaps with the current safe procedures hand sanitizer and disposable masks could be left in the rooms? The rooms and beds were clean.

The major issue was breakfast. The change to have a buffet style meant that there was no mushrooms, no fried bread, only fried eggs and the food that was available was cold. The last of the cold beans, the cold fried eggs and luke warm hash browns were all I could have as a non-meat eater. After a taste of each I took the breakfast back to the chef who asked me if i wanted it microwaving, this included the toast!!
Poor show for a Crown Plaza, I will stick to a HI Express as they at least get the breakfast buffet right.

We understand that you are ready to update your facility but we should still have clean rooms, gentleman at the front desk seemed unsure about answering questions, others in line also seemed to have similar problems. After driving for 7 hours this is the last thing a person needs. Dano

Arrived at 1:00 PM hoping to get an early check in. Early check in denied. Hotel was empty, so I presume they had no help to get rooms ready. Manager made an appearance and didn't offer to find a clean room. Returned at 9:30 to check in and all went well until entering the room. Lights would not work. Front desk employee asked if I put my keycard in the box on the wall? Of course I said no, there was no lights to find the box on the wall. She then said, "didn't I tell you about the box" as she held up the example. She failed to notify me that lights only work when your keycard is inserted. All was OK after this issue.

Mediocre at best

Took an old hotel and attempted to slap a new cover on it. Looks clean at first but still the old Omni. Rooms are small. Bathrooms are barely holding together.
No complimentary breakfast at all. Very disappointed with that.
Pool is not recommended. Too much chlorine, no staff at all servicing it. Freezing cold. It was the middle of June and you would get goosebumps from getting in the water.

DECEPTION

Advertised a HOT BREAKFAST. When you go to the hotel web page it shows hot breakfast. When we got up they had nothing out. There were 25 plus people waiting, we found out all they had was a bag with a small muffin, a bottle of water, and a bag of oatmeal. No hot water, no microwave. When I asked the girl at the front desk about the breakfast she was nasty, loud and by herself. I was told by people that had been waiting that she only brings out 3 or 4 bags at a time. NO HOT BREAKFAST! That is false advertising and deception. That night I spoke to a gentleman at the front desk he comp. one night. Never told me he was doing it. He apologized. Corporate is to blame as is the Hotel.

Not up to Holiday Inn standards

We got there and the very nice young lady at the counter said “you’re already checked in”. We assured her we just arrived. When we got that straightened out and got to our room we found the bathroom door didn’t close completely. It was warped and scraped on the floor so bad it wouldn’t close. We went out and got back later and turned on the tv and could only get one channel-cartoon network. Overall the people at the hotel were very nice and empathetic when we told them what the problems were. The property is outdated and needs a BIG update.

Worst Holiday Inn Stay

The front desk staff were not friendly. I asked for extra towels because there was no towels at the pool. I also asked for extra pillows because of a medical condition. Staff gave me a hard time like they weren't suppose to accommodated me. The beds squeaked & were not comfortable. There was a sewer smell on our floor. I was told it was a drainage issue with their water pipes.Every time I tried to call the front desk from my room no one would answer the phone. I did enjoy their very friendly & welcoming staff that served me & my family a hot breakfast.

This was such a disappointment when compared to our other experiences with IHG. The front desk staff seemed overwrought and ill equipped to handle her position- we actually dealt with 2- and both were equally unacceptable

Ignored reservation

I made the reservation for my daughter and friends. We reserved a room with two queen beds, since there were 4 girls, meeting to commemorate the death of a dear friend. They were given a room with one bed and a fold out sofa. When they contacted the front desk, they were told "Sometimes that happens." Sometimes that happens???? My children have stayed at this hotel repeatedly and it has NEVER happened, but we HAVE had issues with the front desk showing no concern for issues (like AC not working, music playing so loud in the entry that it kept the people trying to sleep in rooms awake). I have ignored those due to convenience and my membership in IHG. I'm done. My daughter and one of her friends slept on the miserable fold-out, which offered the comfort of sleeping on a set of uncovered springs. To top it off there were "no pillows available," according to the front desk. I understand that rooms fill up - but if you have a guest with a PREPAID reservation it does seem that it would be decent of you to respect the reservation. Holiday Inn, you have disappointed me greatly.
