Good but not great

The room was clean, bedding and pillows were clean. The bathroom could use some maintenance, two towels for a double queen room? Conditioner dispenser was empty, yes you can ask for more towels and more conditioner, but in the middle of a shower it’s annoying that housekeeping doesn’t check out the shampoo, body wash and conditioner during service. Front desk was very friendly during check in and check out.

Enjoy your stay at Redding's hotel. Our centrally located hotel offers great value at a competitive rate. All rooms include a host of complimentary services and facilities such as refrigerator, microwave, Flat TV and coffee makers in all rooms. Fitness Center, Business Center and an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. Each one of our guest rooms and suites are equipped for every type of traveler from the road warrior to the family on vacation.
Holiday Inn Express, Redding is conveniently located to all Redding area attractions including Shasta Lake and Dam, Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, and Whiskeytown Lake. We also have a location with easy access to a variety of shopping and dining options.

Rude staff

Staff was very rude plus unfriendly not to mention unhelpful I had made a mistake and made reservations at Beaumont in Texas instead of Beaumont in ca not only that my phone was stolen the day before so I couldn’t even call them personally they wouldn’t even help me in fact one of the females at the front desk said they couldn’t call Texas so after a hour of struggling trying to call them from a spare phone that had a 1 percent chance did the same female who said she couldn’t call did she call…. Then after everything was finally straightened out I still had to wait to check in there were still two other females there that wouldn’t help check me in because they said they were doing paper work I will never go there again!!

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Room keys quit working during stay, but staff was quick to reprogram them. I could hear any noises in the hall and adjoining rooms.

We weren't told at check-in or saw any posting that the restaurant would be closed July 3rd and 4th. We were planning on breakfast before a very tight schedule on those two days and didn't have a car at our disposal.

Bed bugs bites and no breakfast

This hotel was not good in comparison with the others I usually stay. It was old and quality poor that u could see walking around. Woke up and no breakfast or place to eat and the lady was nice to give us some muffin for the kids and some coffee was already made. The worst was when I got home: my dad was full of bed bugs bites in his groin….he has some health problems and I really hope that he did not bring any bug back to the house or his room. I love holiday inn but after this I will not stay at this chain any longwr

Dripping ceiling and dirty sheets

I don’t think I will ever stay there again the ceilings were leaking the second day were there. We didn’t sleep all night because of the drips going onto the pull out couch that my daughters are sleeping on. We were also given a dirty sheet to cover the couch and I just felt like we paid way too much to stay in a hotel it was not a satisfying moment.
