Not as good as my many previous stays at holiday inn express.

We always stay at holiday inn while traveling. We find the rooms safe , comfortable , clean , and easy to book. This room could use some upgrades. The Furniture was old , the bathroom had issues and the cost was 75 dollars more than what we usually pay. I will still use others while traveling but not this one unless they upgrade a bit.

Rude Desk Clerk

I feel if you are working in customer service you should always put your best foot forward as a representative for a company, unless the customer is an extreme case. The housekeeping staff was nice and helpful. I ask one of them about the clerk, the housekeeper replied we know about that clerk and she immediately apologized and stated if you need anything just ask housekeeping. I thanked her and avoided the front desk as much as I could. Also during my stay the gym area was not cleaned since we checked in, I worked out the 1st day and dropped a mint on the floor it remained the entire time of our stay. (Dawn Cooper) Reservation Name

I was here in MI for my dad's funeral service.
The first room was nasty with a red ring around the tub and rust in it.
The second room they moved me to had a musty smell (first room didn't) and broken wall areas around the tub. It also has lotion bottles that were not replaced (meaning someone else touched them during covid and was left on the room. When we got in the shower, the conditioner was empty, when calling to the FD to have some more delivered they stayed only one person was working so they couldn't leave the desk. Yet when I walked down to the desk, after having to get dressed wet, there were two people standing there.

Some things were out of order

We got there with a van full of excited kids after a baseball game. There was a sign that the indoor was closed and we were told it would be for months so the kids were super disappointed. Only one of the elevators was functional so it took extra long to get to our room. We asked for a comforter for our hideaway bed but was told they were booked up and ran out. The lighted mirror in the bathroom stopped working. It must have gotten wet and short circuited which is unfortunate since it's right above the bathroom sink. We had to have maintenance come in and take a look which slowed us down waiting on them. They looked at it and told us just don't use that switch so the bathroom was dim.

Sofa was extremely uncomfortable, chair was badly stained

We were very disappointed in the room , upon arrival, there were no hand towels, or wash cloths, and only 2 bath towels for 2 adults for 2 nights. No facial tissue, lotion, coffee or coffee cups. The elevators and halls were miserably hot. The carpet and tile were not cleaned. A light shining on the INN sign, outside the window , was coming into the room. My husband had to put the drapery back up properly. We chose a 2 bed suite ,for comfort and convenience, I regret that we had neither.

Beware of Holiday Inn Express

I made a reservation and prepaid for the room but when I arrived I was told they were overbooked and they didn't have a room for me. The clerk wouldn't reimburse me for the room because she said I paid through a 3rd party, I didn't I paid through the IHG website. And to make matters worse there were no rooms at any hotels in a 50 mile radius. I kept pushing the issue and finally, miraculously after 45 minutes of haggling they found a room. It wasn't very clean but we were tired and wanted a place to sleep. During the time I was negotiating for a room the clerk turned away 8 people with reservations. And if I had to bet, it wasn't a problem of not having rooms, it was a problem of not having cleaned rooms.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Alexandria - Downtown in the heart of Alexandria, Louisiana. The hotel is five city blocks off of Interstate 49 resting on the banks of the Red River. The Holiday Inn Alexandria - Downtown is Alexandria's premier full service hotel. We have Crossroads Tavern, Southern Heritage Bank branch and Aesthetician and Gold Dust Studio. The hotel has 11,800 sq. feet of meeting space and is attached to Alexandria Riverfront Center; which can accommodate larger groups.
