Over all I would probably not stay here again. The price was too high for what the hotel offered. Breakfast was subpar, but staff were very courteous.

Very kind staff, but poor cleanliness

We checked in late, but the associate at the desk was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast server was also very friendly and attentive.
The room, however, was not very clean. There were crumbs on the carpeting and several spots of food that had been smashed on the bathroom floor. There was also a bobby pin on the floor. There was significant mold on the caulking in the shower. There was cereal at the bottom of the closet.
The window shade was also broken and would not stay (as it is designed) in any position other than fully open or closed.
It was a disappointing stay as the property has potential to be very good. Happy to recommend this property when they fix their housekeeping issues.

New Hotel, but poorly planned layout

This is a brand new hotel, but it reminds me of European style small, very small rooms, with no amenities for business. Everything is noisy, concrete block walls, all tile floors, making for a very noisy environment.

Needs work

After arriving close to 2am, to find that luggage was left in the closet and trash left in the trash cans at the door did not make for pleasant rest when we were traveling for a funeral. I did reach out to Ihg who said we would be contacted by management and that never happened. Very poor business. This is not the Ihg I know.

We arrived at the hotel at 8:45 PM. Our room wasn't ready (our check-in time was 3 PM). We had to wait until 10 PM to check in.

Poorly managed hotel

All I can say and the only positive is staff were very nice will not be staying here again there should of been some kind of compensation due to broken shower and no air conditioning

Liquid coming up from the floorboards

My room floor had a brown liquid coming up from the floorboards. If you wiped it, more would just come back. - My room was on floor 8...I couldn't be moved bc there was no more rooms.
Breakfast- The little milk carton for cereal was not expired but it did have a very strong chemical taste and smell.
The hotel itself is in a great location and I absolutely love the lobby Decor as well as the rooms. This hotel is connected to Holiday Inn via hallway, they share a pool. The Holiday Inn is much much cheaper it has the same dedication to quality and friendliness, I usual stay there- I can tell you they probably didn't have the eighth floor leaking.

Not so good

I don't like writing bad reviews, and I normally like Holiday Inns and Expresses, but it was just a combination of things that left me wishing I'd stayed at one of the hotels next door instead.
I reserved a king room, checked in electronically the day before, and when I arrived, was told they were overbooked and was given a double queen room. Once got to the room, I learned it was a pool-side room, which was extremely loud and disruptive. Then the HVAC unit began to leak from the ceiling and continued all night. I had to get a stack of towels at the front desk as there was about a gallon of water on the floor by morning. To top it off, the hot tub was a cold-tub. It was maybe 2 degrees warmer than the pool, so a waste. So overall, it was not a good stay and I was never offered anything in the way of vouchers or a partial refund.
On the plus side, even though staff wasn't too helpful, and I know they can't fix an HVAC unit in the middle of the night, they were very polite and nice people.

Your home away from home, located on the doorstep of Sportcity.
Holiday Inn® Manchester - Central Park hotel is just 10 minutes' drive from the M60 motorway close to the Central Park Industrial Estate. Manchester city centre is a 15-minute drive away. If you prefer, you can leave your vehicle in the car park and ride two stops on the tram from Central Park Metrolink station , a five-minute walk from the hotel, to the centrally located Victoria Station .
Business guests are on the doorstep of the companies in Central Park Industrial Estate . In the hotel, the two flexible event spaces have natural light and can host meetings and private dinners for up to 100 people. There’s free WiFi and on-site parking , chargeable.
It's a five-minute drive from the hotel to the Etihad Stadium & Campus , home to Manchester City Football Club. At the nearby National Cycling Centre , visitors can make use of its indoor cycling track, BMX centre and mountain bike trails to hone their skills on two wheels. Heaton Park and the National Football Museum are both within 15 minutes' drive of the hotel.
The casual, light-filled Manchester Bar & Restaurant serves cooked breakfast and Starbucks coffee. Later you can tuck into a steak or tasty burger, before sinking into a lounge bar leather sofa to enjoy a cold pint or glass of wine with colleagues and friends.

Hotel itself was clean, beds were comfortable and bathrooms neat. No toiletries provided in the bathroom, it had to be requested - staff kindly provided a toothbrush on request. We were told that parking was complementary with the room when we booked it via telephone but then we had to pay on arrival which was disappointing. Staff did not seem to care about the fact that we were told differently but we were too tired to argue this. Overall an average experience, perhaps a bit overpriced for not being in the city centre.

Nice place- poor staff

Nice facility but the staff were not pleasant! Breakfast was great with a great variety of food to chose from. We could not get extra towels and there wasn't any pool towels. My room was booked on the wrong day and I got a 1am phone call to see if I was coming and was told they would make sure I was entered in for the correct day and I got there and my reservation was not in the system. I did get a room after I let them know how unhappy I was only for them to tell my they were over booked and did not know what they would do with the other people coming in.
