Comfortable bed but not so good of service

Had to wait about 20 minutes at the front desk for someone to show up to be able to check in and I had a reservation to be able to make the process quick and easy and it wind up not being so quick and easy also had a family come in behind me waiting and then another lady after that. after a long trip with 2 kids and it was pouring down rain outside I was just ready to get to the room and relax and get some sleep. Then the room key didn't work so had to go back down to fix it. Overall it was just a very frustrating situation to say the least.

Outdated, charge for everything

The lobby is nice but the rooms are very outdated, old bathrooms, hot elevators ,terrible parking which they charge you $17 a night plus tax..charge me 5 bucks for a bottle water and 3 dollar for a cup of coffee.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chalmette. Just a 6 mile drive to the New Orleans French Quarter -and Bourbon Street the heart of the city's nightlife. Besides being minutes from the famous Frenchman Street live jazz and entertainment district , we are located in the middle of St. Bernard Parish. The area is also known for the annual Crawfish Festival, Oyster Festival, Battle of New Orleans re-enactment at the Chalmette Battlefield, and Los Islenos Festival . Chalmette also lives up to the state motto of being a Sportsman’s Paradise with world class fishing and hunting. Comfortable soft bed. Staff very friendly

Staff very friendly and very prompt to answer questions.. Room was clean and bed was very soft and comfortable. The only issue was hair in the tub and the tub was very slow to drain. The location was excellent to the highway.

comfortable bed

When we checked in, we were told we were going to be in one of the recently renovated rooms. The bed was comfortable but I got some kind of grease on my hand from opening the drapes, the bathmat was threadbare in several areas, there was no fan in the bathroom and the outlets in the lamps were too loose to hold anything I tried to plug into any of them. The staff was friendly and it looked like there was a good selection of breakfast items, although we had other plans. The fan didn't stay on to help block the noise from the parking lot and street.

Just not clean

The room wasn’t clean. The shower was dirty, stains on the chairs, bedding questionable. It’s hard to relax when you don’t feel your room has been cleaned properly.

Fair for price

Hotel was fairly modern and up to date however it became clear that the room cleanliness was less than stellar when we opened the bedside table and found 2 large boxes of unused condoms inside. Coincidentally, our top blanket smelled (use the imagination) and we requested a new one with no further problems. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Welcome to Bishop, California where guests enjoy stunning scenery known as "California's Hidden Treasure" We are located in the Eastern Sierra's in between the Eastern entrance to Yosemite and the Western entrance to Death Valley
Whether you are coming to the area to go fishing in our beautiful lakes and streams, or taking a break from hiking the John Muir trail, our hotel is centrally located in Bishop and is within walking distance of most stores and restaurants.
After a long day fishing our hotels offers a 10 minute massage on our Hydro Massage chair, or take a walk to the city park located right next to the hotel. Before you head home you can walk to the famous Schat's Bakery to get your goodies.
