Filthy hotel

The staff is friendly but that did NOT make up for how filthy this hotel is. The common areas including the elevators were filthy with dried dirt on the threshold going in and fingerprint smudged everywhere. Our room was filthy with the floor having crumbs all over it and fingerprint smudges on all of the furniture including the refrigerator. The refrigerator door had food smudges along the edge where you open it. We quite literally used paper towels to turn lights on or to open doors to things and used our elbows to push buttons.
The bowls that hold the apples and oranges in the kitchen were dirty from the very beginning of the day. They never cleaned them and just kept putting apples and oranges in the bowls.
The equipment in the gym does not work. So if you’re looking to get a work out in you won’t get it here.

Tv not working
Awful breakfast, bacon was disgusting.
Dirty bedding, wee stains (please see attached photo)
Staff laughed when we asked for tv to be fixed
Only positive was the discounted rate car park.

Terrible Client Service

We booked a suite months’ ahead of time for this special event on Dec 6th on the waterfront in Washington, DC. We specifically asked for this suite with the hotel and confirmed it with them the evening before via telephone.
We got to the hotel, and they did not have the room ready (3pm), we finally got the room, but it was not the room we requested. I spoke with the hotel staff, and they claimed that someone has already checked into the room we requested. We settled for the room because we had already had our car parked and all bags sent to the room, and we were tired from the day of travel.
After settling into the room, I noticed that a family was just getting off the elevator on our floor, they proceeded to enter the exact room we had requested. I then spoke with the lady at the front desk who check us in, and she told me that they had just check in to the room. This was a complete opposite of what they had just told us not 10 minutes before. This family had checked in After we did!
That evening we asked for a chair to use to sit in the room, per the valet/bellman we could have one. The manager called the room and told us we were not getting a chair. We instead took one from a room next door (the person there had no issue with lending us the chair for a few hours).
The next morning, I spoke with the manager on duty. He was rude to us, refusing to refund the money, refusing to accommodate us in any way. He even went as far as to tell us that extra chairs are not allow and said that if we needed to sit, that we could sit on the floor or the bed. This same manager also proceeded to tell me that the type of room we had requested was being used for the past several weeks (this was not what the lady at the front desk had told us the day before).

More like a Motel with Hotel prices

If you are expecting nice clean rooms with friendly staff that match the price of the room, you will be sorely mistaken. The staff will barely be present to help you check in or answer questions. And the room cleanliness will match that of any roadside motel. The primary difference, you may ask, will be spending 150 a night for this experience instead of 50 a night at a motel. That is right, you are forced to pay extra for the same bad experience. Personally, if I want a “nice” hotel, I will spend less money and have a better experience by choosing Tru down the road.

Don't bother with reward nights here

This hotel will only reserve the lowest quality rooms for rewards nights per the management policy when others are available. They do not honor any IHG member room upgrades even if they are available. We will not be back.

Das war dann mal nix!

Unfähiges Personal und dazu noch unfreundlich am Empfang, die Dame war beim Bezahlen ungehalten und unfreundlich.
Reinigung des Zimmer unter aller sau.....
man hat nicht wirklich gesehen das sauber gemacht wurde, Zahnpasta noch im Waschbecken Flusen auf den Boden lag drei Tage da. Gänge sehr dreckig auch der Aufzug, hier hat jemand Kaffee verschüttet ganze 24 Std. bis es sauber gemacht wurde und dann noch halbherzig!

I was unable to check-in to my room at check-in time due to my room not being cleaned. It wasn’t just me, there were at least 10 other people that were unable to check in also. I used my points to book the reservation, but I was unable to get my requested room due to a lack of availability. When I entered the room, it smelled damp

The GM needs to care more about her visitors!! ALL good f her visitors!! No special treatment should be given to any particular group of people!! You should appreciate your staff and give them a raise!! Don’t be stingy and give your guest the 5 star breakfast that they need even if you have to raise your standards!! Get it together!!

For the price you pay for staying at this hotel you surely find better locations. Staff was ok, service was below average. Overall not happy and I will not visit this place again.
