Bed was comfortable and the place is quiet

I stay there every Saturday, the place is usually quiet and clean and the beds are super comfy. I was really disappointed that even tough i made my reservation for may 21 on march 30 i was downgraded from a suite because they oversold. The room they gave me the carpet was wet and sticky in a spot near the window.

Choose one of the best hotels in Cloverdale, IN. Holiday Inn Express Cloverdale (Greencastle) is mid-way between Terre Haute and Indianapolis. Considering the options, this is one of the better choices

Hotel was clean and checkin was quick and easy due to checking in ahead of time on my phone app. But, the atmosphere was a bit off as my adult daughter is who was staying in the hotel with a friend for an event and she felt like she was constantly being scrutinzed and watched by the staff, making her very uncomfortable.

Used to be a decent hotel before Covid

Used to be a decent hotel before Covid, the service and quality of the hotel has gone downhill. The hotel has fallen into disrepair, leaking faucets (2 of the 3 rooms I've stayed in), slow draining tubs (1 of 3), my co-worker has been moved 4 times in three weeks for different stuff being wrong in the room (TV's inop, fridges not working, A/C not working this time).

Long Checkin and extra fees

I reserved a room for 2 adults and one child and entered the age of my son on my reservation. I was given a total but when we arrived at the hotel, I was charged an additional $80 for my son. The checkin was awful, had to wait in long lines while only two people did checkin and others just stood around like they were on break. It literally took hours for them to check people in. Rooms are dated and quite dirty. Luckily we only had to spend one night here before our villa was ready.

Absolutely appalling front desk experience

I stay in IHG hotels globally and this is the worst front desk I have ever dealt with. At check in the young woman on the desk was sullen and curt. She did not do the customary checks, merely thrust the key at me. At check out next day it was the same woman. She told me that the printer was broken and said she would email me the bill. It never came and neither has it come after two subsequent emails to the hotel.

Disappointing and Sad

This was my second time staying there for business in 1.5 years and it drastically declined. My room was old, stained, refrigerator leaked, sinks and tub clogged, the hotel hallways and lobby AC struggled, I couldn't get towels. Last, the place was short staffed with some people who were trying except one guy who clearly wanted to be left alone and didn't want to work (worked early morning). This experience defines a motel.

It was "okay."

Our toilet was lose; the sort of experience where one of the bolts need tightened but it causes it to rock. The hotel was aged and dirty looking; although, I cannot say it was dirty. The bathroom looked gross, but probably more from age- caulking around the toilet, etc... Also, the tub was on a constant solid drip with a nasty mat.
I would come here again because it is not unacceptable, but admittedly, the standards for a Holiday Inn was low.
