Comfortable bed, clean room, but poor HVAC unit

Comfortable bed, very clean room. HVAC unit needed service -- room smelled musty, damp, stuffy. We proposed open the door, hallway air was great. HVAC unit also had a failing fan motor -- slept next to it with ear plugs (60 db all night). Windows do not open, staff member said they were screwed shut 8 years ago during a remodel. Most public areas are very attractive -- but the doors between hotel and parking garage need updating, handles very loose Summary: nice hotel that needs an attentive manager.

We thought we were unlucky with our 4 pillows, all firm, for our family of 4, until we heard another guest complain that they only had 3 pillows for her family of 4. Food was in short supply for breakfast and the place was so outdated.

An exciting new addition

Hotel is beautiful with a lot of historic features. Has many dining options that are great. Was upgraded as a IHG platinum member which was very much appreciated. Room had a great view, very clean, comfortable bed. Was impressed with the automatic shades. Only downside was the couch seemed to have seen better days and we waited a bit for someone to come to the desk at check-in. Overall it was a great experience!

Enjoyed the hotel and neighborhood, but many of the amenities were not available during our stay - the bar, food service, valet parking. Not a big deal at all, but would have preferred advance notice.

Rooms are dirty. When you let the front desk know they dismiss you like a dog, and even the hotel manager refuses to recognize and address your complaints. Horrible customer service. Unsanitary rooms. Only positive was the beds were comfortable and breakfast was decent
