Welcome to the Greenbelt, MD - Washington, DC Area. Looking for accommodations outside the city with a convenient location?
The Holiday Inn Washington, DC - Greenbelt, MD is a full-service hotel located near Baltimore and Annapolis, and the University of Maryland in College Park. The hotel has 99 spacious rooms (which includes 6 accessible rooms. The hotel is within five miles of the New Carrollton Amtrak and Greenbelt Metro stations, which makes travel around the Washington, DC area easy.
Our hotel guests enjoy quality amenities such as an outdoor pool.
Sports enthusiasts are glad to know that we're close to Commanders Field, home of the Washington Commanders and a short Metro ride away from Nationals Park, home of the Washington National baseball team.
For our shopping enthusiasts, we are a short drive from Arundel Mills Outlet Mall and the Greenway Shopping Center. You can visit the Washington, DC area museums, memorials and monuments are conveniently accessed via the Washington, DC Metrorail system.
We have meeting rooms, ideal for small executive meetings. Complimentary high-speed, wireless internet access is available in all guestrooms and throughout the hotel.

Poor cleaning service

Was not told prior to arrival that the room would ONLY cleaned every 3 days. Had to ask for towels and washcloths for the 3 of us everyday. One day we got none and one day the 1 towel and 2 washcloths we received were damp. Bathroom was not clean; particularly the shower wall, grab bar and floor near both sides of the door frame was black. We bought cleaning supplies to do it ourselves just to make the stay tolerable. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Room needed updating!!!!!

The staff was very nice. However, the room has not been updated at all. It looked like it hadn't been touched since the 70's. The restaurant downstairs was not a hit. The food was overpriced and underwhelming.
And we booked a room with a king bed. We had to get a room with 2 full beds.

Stay away! Bad service, very very noisy rooms

We spend 3 nights in June'22 here during our Colorado road trip. We normally don't complain, but this time we will because it was bad. First the positive remarks: The room was clean and beds comfortable. But that's IT. Walls of the rooms are paper thin, we heard the snoring of the guy next door all night. We could also hear the TV in the other room word for word. But the BIG thing that lacks in this hotel is CUSTOMER SERVICE. Right away, after the first shower the first night the shampoo, conditioner and tissues were out. They didn't check that pre-arrival. There was NO cleaning (not even fresh towels or garbage collection) in the 3 days. After 2 days we requested new towels and garbage cleanup, but they didn't do it all day! I had to go down to the lobby twice to get some basic service. Ridiculous for the amount paid. Staff was lacking customer service big time! In the evenings they were busier with their own cellphone or watching series on their laptop in the lobby. When I came down to legitimately complain about service they were greatly annoyed. The outdoor pool looks great, but it was unheated and freezing cold. The hot tub had a temperature the normal pool should have had, so that was the only place people could enjoy some 'pool time'. If it was a malfunction of the heating system it should have been found during daily pool-maintenance. The overall stay was Holiday Inn Express unworthy, very very disappointing.

Shoeless service

The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff working there was unkempt and unprofessional. Most were wearing casual clothes that did not include any Holiday Inn affiliation, even name tags. One person was barefoot in his gym clothes, while working. It was very odd. No one seemed to have showered or have a sense of person hygiene. The restaurant was particularly slack, and we were subjected to a yelling fight between employees working in the bar area one night. Staff walk right outside the front door for smoke breaks, which also feels very 2002. Overall, this location needs a corporate manager to come spend a month and get the place into shape. Maybe it was just a busy weekend, but it was off-putting to say the least.

Privacy curtain damaged, had to repair it myself

Hotel room privacy curtain was damaged, and there was no hotel maintenance staff available to fix it, so I had to make a temporary repair with duct tape. Room 121 is on first floor immediately adjacent to the main hotel entry, so it is important that this curtain be able to close all the way (it would not). Told by front desk staff that manager would consider a discount on our room rate, have yet year back from that individual. Not a happy customer, will not consider this hotel for future Albany area stays unless I hear back from them.

The room was comfortable, breakfast was served every morning. There was only one ice machine on the property and it usually ran out on the weekends. The property was clean but my floor smelled of cigarette smoke constantly. I received no rewards for my 24 night stay.

Renovated room and updates was nice! Despite getting a renovated room it was musky and damp. Bathroom cleanliness not rated high (inside toilet bowl and under vanity not clean). Got a bit of an attitude from the front desk attendant when I asked for extra pillows for my room- acted put out as though he had to work. Great location to restaurants and grocery.

Great property, ruined by horrific service

Scam hotel that doesn't honor quoted rates once you're on site

This hotel was booked and used for a wedding party and was supposed to get discounted rates, but once checked in, people were charged more then quoted and also had erroneously other charges on their credit cards. What a scam to book a whole wedding party and its guests based on good rates and then charge everyone more once checking in.
