Pool and spa not working when I was told they were when I made the reservation. Rooms were hotter than outside breakfast was horrible tasted days old

A night to forget

The air conditioning was not working in the room, something the receptionist forgot to mention on check in.
The temperature in the room was 32C, which was unbearable.
We were offered a couple of fans which did nothing to cool the room down. For safety reasons the window could only be opened a little. The staff said they could not unlock it to open it fully.
The food was good and the staff in the restaurant were excellent.

Cloudy Pool that need major maintenance

To be honest with you, I choose this hotel and paying 5000 points more compare to other nearby Holiday inn is because the breakfast is include and the pool is open.
What I found out during my stay is , they are out of staff on one day that lead to limited breakfast serve on one day (just pancake and donut). The cleaning lady need to stay at the front desk to take care customer. I am not sure if all staff are on strike or call out sick on the same day, but that greatly affect the operation of the whole hotel. On top of that, the pool is totally lack of maintenance. I mean totally. It is SALT water. I don't know if it is REAL SALT water or just pool water that never filter for week that create the taste. And the pool size is probably good for 5-8 years old kid. Definitely not for Adult swimming size.

Recent stay is disappointed

At least I know it that is the fair price I pay for. I am totally think I am overpaid for my stay. I hope the manager will read this reviews and know their situation.

Room not clean

The room was not properly cleaned beer bottle caps in the bed under the bed and around the bed, which means the room was not properly cleaned and makes me believe that the sheets had not been changed from the previous stay.I had my 90 yr old aunt and my cousin staying at the hotel and this was unexceptional.
After two calls to the front desk they moved our room but this should never had to have been done if someone inspected rooms.

Crowne Plaza Beirut hotel is well located in the heart of the capital of Beirut in Hamra Main Street, a prime destination for business, leisure and shopping.
The property consists of 190 rooms ,some overlooking the Mediterranean Sea equipped with free high-speed internet, laptop-sized safe, a minibar and satellite LCD TV. The hotel features an indoor pool, and a full-service on-site Health Club Fitness Zone and an amusement and bowling center.
Beirut International Airport is 8km away, Beirut Downtown and Souks are just 10 minutes' drive and the famous seafront Corniche where pigeon rock is located.
The hotel’s all-day restaurants serve a variety of local and international dishes. Buffet breakfast is served at Vivaldi restaurant.
Our banquets and conferences are natural daylight, equipped and can welcome up to 600 guests.

Wonderful staff but not clean

We chose to stay here because of location and great value. The staff was very friendly and very helpful however the rooms were not well kept. Ours smelled like smoke and the tubs water went down extremely slow during showers. The beds had springs that were very uncomfortable and I just didn’t feel like the room was very clean to the standard of a hotel.

Not worth the cost

For the cost of this place it was a very poor experience. The room was very average. It could have been cleaner. Everything look worn. The breakfast was very disappointing. Many of the stations were not set up and didn't have the corresponding items. Overall very disappointed.

Overall my stay was good. To get into the parking lot of this hotel is a little different. But once you find the entrance it’s easy. I was greeted very nice.
