This hotel has been worst and worst - Please do not stay here

This is my third time that I stayed here and will be the last.
This hotel has been being bad and bad day after day.
The service is just a "service", ZERO service attitude of the staff.
1. The carpet is dirty
2. The refrigerator was doing a noise during all the stay and the noise went worst day after day.
3. The refrigerator spoiled all my food (never get cold enough)
4. Bathroom was terrible when we arrived. toiled dirty, tube the same and the worst thing - beard hairs in the sink
I do not care, but somebody needs to do something if you want to improve this facility, I won't stay here anymore, but "my god",
5. They didn't recognized for be a IHG member, I did remained him to make sure I get my point.

Comfortable bed.

I realize that everyone is short staffed these days. I believe we saw 1 employee our entire stay. My complaints have more to do with the cleanliness of the building as a whole. Elevators and their floors and doors. The entrance floor, etc.
The employee we say was nice. The hotel was a little too secluded for my liking. Although it was nice to have a room that the window faced some trees.

One Problem after Another

Unfortunately, we had one problem after another upon checking in until we checked out! After an exhausting drive and checking in late with 2 children in tow, we realized that there was the smell of Stale Cigarette Smoke all through our guest room; as horrible as it was, we were too tired to move all of our stuff to a different room away from our other friends checked in on the same floor so I borrowed Febreeze from the front desk for the first night. An Ozone Machine was requested the next day while we were away to run in the room to help resolve the smoke smell which did help some. I had to also go to the front desk on our first night to request 2 more sets of towels as only 2 were given when we clearly booked in advance for a party of 4. We found out that the pool was closed indefinitely as well and not up and running as originally advertised which was a disappointment for our children. The toilet seat was broken in our bathroom. To top it off, the elevator broke down on our last night's stay and was still broken when we needed to check out early morning the next day. Myself and my other Mom friend with each of our daughters had to haul all of our luggage down 3 flights of stairs; not fun. The front desk staff was friendly and did their best under the circumstances but this was not an overall restful, peaceful stay that we needed after long eventful days.

Location was great

Pleasant staff, what you would expect, nothing more, nothing less. Room layout was great. The king suite kept mom and dad separated from the kids (who slept on the pullout couch/bed) and gave us each our own television. Location was awesome. Right next to the St. Croix with river boats, trails, tours, caves, glacial potholes, and not to far from adventure mountain which has alpine slides, go karts, water slides, and other attractions.

There was a girls (10 y/o) softball team staying in the hotel and evidently the room above mine was the designated pillow fight room. Made for some bad sleep. The smell entering the room was atrocious. After about an hour in the room you couldn’t notice it unless you tried, but every time you left and came back in, even for a brief moment, the odor would punch you in the face.

Besides that, the location and layout would prompt me to recommend this hotel with expectations of what it is. They definitely get away with the high prices due to the location.

Rooms unavailable at check-in; Non working toilet

When we arrived at approximately 3:30, neither of our two rooms were ready. Or reservation confirmations, said check-in was 3:00 PM. Had to wait for a while in the lobby. Once in the rooms, it was discovered that the water to the toilet in one of the rooms was turned off. When we turned it on, water started spraying out from under the lid onto the floor. When we went to the front desk to report it, they said they already knew about it and were calling in maintenance. Maintenace never came so we were able to turn the water on just slightly so we could flush the toilet for the next two days

Good place for overnight stay

The hotel was very convenient to work. It was clean, staff was very accommodating. However, they did not have much business when I was there. It made for a very awkward stay, as I often felt like I was alone in the hotel. They had very limited eating options.
