Poorly maintained

Hvac unit not working; TV not working; 1 of 2 elevators out of service; water flow in shower not enough to even rinse off; water flow in sink only a trinkle; toilet took 12 min to refill after flush; pool umbrellas broken; carpet in desperate need of cleaning; lawn irrigation system broken and dumping water on the sidewalk (too bad I didn’t have that water flow in the shower).

Room was dirty. Front desk receptionist was indifferent about customer service. Had to pay for parking in the hotel parking lot, guests should park for free. Food was below average in quality.

Welcome to our newly renovated hotel in beautiful Hamburg, NY. Situated just off I-90 and within a short driving distance to many attractions and businesses, we offer convenience and comfort to our guests. We are located within easy driving distance of the top destinations in our area of New York.
For guests traveling for leisure, there are a variety of fun and educational outdoor activities nearby. Not worth the money. The pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and we were told we couldn’t use it. The bathroom was rusty and falling apart.

A guest experience like no other

1. None of the usual pleasantries at check in- time of breakfast, check out etc. just a key and an envelope with instructions
2. I was told a room number but not how to get there by the receptionist. No problem you’d think apart from the random lay out meant that the room numbers have no real logical order and my room number wasn’t listed on any of the signs off the lobby. So I needed to go back to reception to find out where to go. If only I’d have been stood there a few minutes earlier… at check in, when the very same person could have told me where my room is (like every other hotel in the world, ever)
3. Breakfast the next day finished quite early, I’d taken my two kids for a swim so arrive just as breakfast slot was finishing. But the food was still out - so ok to get a few things quickly. The staff absolutely didn’t want to help and made us feel very much an inconvenience. Not exactly welcoming

Our New Holiday Inn Express is located just north of San Francisco in the quaint town of Santa Rosa . Our location makes it ideal for visitors of all types from leisure travelers to those here on business.
The Holiday Inn Express Santa Rosa is the perfect hotel accommodations for those visiting the Sonoma County Wineries Safari West, Graton Casino, Charles M. Schultz Museum, Children's Museum of Sonoma County or any of the other attractions that Santa Rosa has to offer.
Our corporate travelers will enjoy our complimentary Express Start Breakfast, free wireless HSIA available throughout the hotel as well as our 24 hour business center. The hotel's location off route 101 makes it easy to commute to our local businesses such as Kaiser Permanente, Medtronic, Keysight Technologies, Providence Memorial Hospital and Sonoma County Airport.

A motel pretending to be a hotel

This hotel offers more of a motel experience. They don’t tell you that the pool isn’t open when you book it, the breakfast is an insult to people that eat food, and the rooms are a little small.

Disappointed

The hotel appears to be short staffed.
During our 3-night stay, our room was never made up, resupplied, or cleaned despite repeated requests to the front desk. I had to wipe down my feet with a damp hand towel after walking on the carpet. Soaking the hand towel in hot water did not remove the grime from the hand towel. The askewed toilet seat was not repaired despite repeated requests.
The breakfast room was understocked and understaffed. Only one employee was hustling to keep all the serving dishes filled, refrigerator stocked, coffee urns full and the room clean. Individual milk and juice were replaced with a gallon size of each shared among the guests.

The pics on the site make this hotel seem way better than it is

This hotel was okay, but not for the price. The "water park" is a joke. There aren't very many pictures of it on the website for a reason. There's a little splasher area and one water slide. The pool doesn't go deeper than 3ish feet, and it is NEVER on unless you walk all the way out to the front desk and wait for someone to come along so you can request it be turned on. There is only one elevator in the building and it's right by the pool, so it stinks like corn chips and dirty, wet feet.
Our room had candy on the floor when we got there. The toddler found one right away, and then we found a few more plus a lot of crumbs in the carpet. We left a couple bags of ice in the tub to melt overnight and they left rings in the grime inside the tub. One of the TVs in our room didn't have a working remote. We filled out the requests for our stay ahead of time, but we didn't get any extra pillows or towels. When the room is reserved for more than 2 people, why aren't there more than two towels?
The staff was nice. They did have a little area where you could buy snacks or microwavable things. We were able to go to the front desk every single time to ask for coupons when we wanted to eat in the restaurant, which made the kids' food free.
