Sub-standard stay

Stay was sub-standard.
Bathroom vent didn't work and had no grill, Viewed dirty fan and motor.
Lamp above couch was broken. Wasn't even any bulbs.
Desk chair missing. Asked about it but none was provided.
Only one elevator was working.
Lobby area for meals was always warm.

A modern Stansted Airport hotel with secure parking, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and Free Breakfast.
Holiday Inn Express® London - Stansted Airport hotel is a five-minute shuttle ride from the departure terminal. It's two miles from the M11 motorway, you can drive to Cambridge within 40 minutes and to central London in less than an hour. Regular direct trains from Stansted Airport station reach London in 45 minutes and Cambridge in around half an hour.
Half an hour's drive away, you can explore the medieval colleges of Cambridge University. Chelmsford City Racecourse is less than 20 minutes away by car. The shops, cinemas and restaurants of the enormous Westfield Stratford City shopping centre are 40 minutes away via the M11.

Nothing Special

Still has old fashioned check-in, check-out which creates queues doing both. Furniture in restaurant area is filthy and was so dirty I would refused to sit on it. Internet was pathetically slow. Beds are way too soft for an enjoyable sleep. Hallways are creepily dark, what is that about?

Stay was ok till they charged company AND me for stay

Day after checkout, saw $300 charge to my card that was used for “incidentals” (my company had already fully prepaid stay).
Called hotel in morning and told it was mistake and mgr could fix when she came in at 3.
No call back. I called at 5. Mgr had stepped out. No call back. Called at 8. Mgr said she has reversed charge and refund would take 7-10 business days. Said I should get email in 30 minutes. When I asked what happened she said they had new people and someone made mistake.
Now it is 11 am next day and no email yet.
This is a demanding trip and having to follow up again and again to get their error fixed (hopefully soon) is extremely unpleasant.

Pitiful Accomendations

First off, the property is under renovation. Pool is not maintained or clean. No ice maker, no laundry equipment. Stayed for over two weeks while on assignment. Filled out tax exempt forms and was still charged taxes on extended stay. Have made contact trying to adjust overpriced stay, 3 days into process and still no correspondence from management. Breakfast was the only thing that was done right. Had multiple nights of loud "partying" on third floor. I am extremely disappointed this is considered an IHG property. Bathroom was filthy, there was human hair plugging shower drain. Carpet had stains and ordor. There should be some kind of quality inspection performed on this property, or revoke IHG status

The staff here could really careless, this was the dirtiest IHG I been to. I stay at one property each week always for 4 to 5 days and out of all my travels this one is on the bottom of my list

Customer Service is lacking

When I arrived I told the manager that my credit card was already used for the full amount of my stay. I wanted a receipt or some breakdown of the bill, plus I asked the manager to make sure my credit card was not used again. I never received a breakdown of the bill. My credit card was used again. I had to wait 7 days to receive my money back. Terrible. I needed that money when I was on vacation. Ill never go back to that hotel.

The summer time is a great time to come to South Lake Tahoe. Our location is convenient to be able to walk to the beach and for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping and gambling. We offer a free hot breakfast bar, available every morning starting at 6:30am. Take that into consideration when planning a trip into our town. For a great experience, make reservations today at our South Lake Tahoe hotel!
Lake Tahoe has always been a gathering place for people seeking peace, adventure and rejuvenation, the Holiday Inn Express, South Lake Tahoe is the perfect starting point to explore this idyllic location. We have just finished a complete renovation of the hotel adding brand new furniture and an outdoor spa.
During the Summer months, there is a wide variety of things to come see and do. The Lake is a great place to relax and spend quality time with friends and family or just the two of you. Heavenly Village; with the Gondola to take you to the top of the mountain reaching 10,000 plus feet to enjoy the sights of Lake Tahoe, take the zip lines or Gravity coaster. You could always just take a hike on all the trails available.
You can head to Stateline, the home of Nevada casinos like Harrah's, Harvey's and Bally's, and Hard Rock Casino which is just a half mile from our South Lake Tahoe hotel. They have different music venues and shows available. Come join us here at the Holiday Inn Express where you're not just a room number you are truly our guest.

Very rude manager

Be careful staying at this hotel. I called to asked if I could switch to 2 beds and was told this would not be a problem and they said it would be the same price. When I check in I noticed the rate was higher. When asked they said because I switched to 2 beds. I asked to talk to the gm (Kathryn) and she was very rude and basically told me a was not telling the truth and they would never let someone switch beds without a charge. She confronted the other employee in front of me asking if she had talked to me and then assured me neither her or the other person would ever do this. It was extremely unprofessional and horrible customer service. I would have cancelled the room had they been honest when I called as I had a better rate elsewhere. Only kept this reservation because I have been a loyal ihg member for 10 years.

Welcome to the new Holiday Inn Express and Suites New Cumberland; New Cumberland's newest and most modern hotel.
We are conveniently located off I-83 and I-76; the PA turnpike. The new Holiday Inn Express and Suites is an ideal destination, just minutes from Downtown Harrisburg and the State Capitol, Carlisle Car Show, Gettysburg, and the PA Farm Show Complex.
Guests with kids are happy to know that our hotel's site is near Hershey Park. After spending a day filling the children with candy, plan a day trip to Historic Gettysburg and explore the battlefields, monuments in one of our nation's historic places. Adults who are looking to ski can take a trip to Round Top in nearby York.
The Holiday Inn Express and Suites New Cumberland is perfect for leisure and business travel. Don’t forget to visit the Bass Pro Shop on Second St in Downtown Harrisburg. Business guests are glad to hear that major corporations like Rite Aid Corporation, Fed Ex Ground Services, Highmark, New Cumberland Army Depot and Naval Support Activity are just minutes away
