The summer time is a great time to come to South Lake Tahoe. Our location is convenient to be able to walk to the beach and for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping and gambling. We offer a free hot breakfast bar, available every morning starting at 6:30am. Take that into consideration when planning a trip into our town. For a great experience, make reservations today at our South Lake Tahoe hotel!
Lake Tahoe has always been a gathering place for people seeking peace, adventure and rejuvenation, the Holiday Inn Express, South Lake Tahoe is the perfect starting point to explore this idyllic location. We have just finished a complete renovation of the hotel adding brand new furniture and an outdoor spa.
During the Summer months, there is a wide variety of things to come see and do. The Lake is a great place to relax and spend quality time with friends and family or just the two of you. Heavenly Village; with the Gondola to take you to the top of the mountain reaching 10,000 plus feet to enjoy the sights of Lake Tahoe, take the zip lines or Gravity coaster. You could always just take a hike on all the trails available.
You can head to Stateline, the home of Nevada casinos like Harrah's, Harvey's and Bally's, and Hard Rock Casino which is just a half mile from our South Lake Tahoe hotel. They have different music venues and shows available. Come join us here at the Holiday Inn Express where you're not just a room number you are truly our guest.

It was absolutely hopeless

There was no water for couple of hours during my stay. The phone was not working, went up to the receptionist, no response. The breakfast place was totally cramped up, no place to move, the quality of food was not satisfactory. The Wi-Fi was not connected for the first 24 hours of my stay. My worst experience with IHG.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites we want you to enjoy your stay as our guest in Junction City Kansas
Recently renovated hotel featuring a fresh modern decor and great perks like free high-speed wireless Internet, our Fresh Start breakfast each morning and indoor pool and fitness center. We are just off Interstate 70 and exit 298, making it easy to get to Fort Riley Army Base, area businesses, attractions and Manhattan, Kansas.
This hotels location is great for corporate travelers. In addition, our proximity to I-70 helps you get to your next destination with ease. The hotels’ conference room is available if you need a place to host up to 12 attendees.
Unique shopping, plus the usual fare, are within 10 minutes of the hotel. Once the pool renovation is completed, you can relax in the hotel's indoor pool.
Don’t leave Junction City without taking in the beauty of the Clark Hills and the Flint Hills. Our area is bordered by nearly 7 miles of rolling, resplendent, hills and part of the Tall Grass Land. Take a picture, return in 10 minutes, take another and marvel at the difference in the colors.

Worst Ever Experience

I will never stay at this Junction City, Kansas Holiday Inn again. Below are my experiences in early August 2022:
1. There was no online express check-in or check-out.
2. The handicap-accessible parking signs had been removed, and the lines for parking spaces were almost invisible.
3. The entryway was covered in grass, dirt, and cigarette butts. We stayed two nights. The area was never cleaned.
4. The sliding glass entry door had dried bird poop running down the glass.
5. The person behind the desk was friendly and helpful, but she was barefoot. This does not present a professional image.
6. Transactions were done in a back room (not at the desk), so I was unable to observe.
7. Once in the room, my wife noticed we had only one washcloth – I went to the desk to get one.
8. Minutes later wife decided to take a shower – No shower curtain. I went to the desk to get one. Someone brought and installed a shower curtain. She was very nice and apologetic.
9. The coffee pot area was not stocked – The wife went to the desk to ask for coffee pods.
10. Before venturing out for the day, we tried to take a nap, but ants began crawling on us. I found alive and dead ants between the mattress and box springs. I went to the desk to get a new room. We had to pack up and move. (Spraying alone will not kill all the ants. You must use bait to get all the ants in their nest and the queen. The person at the desk mentioned that they would spray, so that’s why I bring this up.)
11. While at the desk, an older man asked for directions to a nearby local restaurant – the clerk replied she had only been in Junction City for six months and couldn’t help. One would think pulling out a local map and assisting the customer would be the helpful thing to do.
12. The bracket that held the shampoo, conditioner and body wash was missing. The body wash container was empty.
13. We were not told in advance that rooms are not serviced daily. Coffee bar needs to be restocked daily. Trash should be emptied daily. Wash cloths and hand towels at a minimum should be changed daily.
I believe IGH should think twice before allowing this Holiday Inn Express to use its name and logo. It was a very disappointing experience.

Not the best experience

Staff was friendly and breakfast was great. However, the AC in the room was not sufficient. It would change temperature on it's on. We had to constantly monitor and change the settings. Also, would only work on low. We had a baby with medical issues and we woke up to it being 54 degrees in the room. This caused him to develop a cough for the rest of the day. Hotel overall needs to be updated. Very aged and run down.

As someone who worked at a 5-Star Multiple award winning IHG hotel for many years in Blytheville, AR. I am very familiar with the required standards. This hotel was not up to standard on the deep cleaning and upkeep of the bathroom. Mildew in the shower. Shower door hanging on by literally a wheel and not secure. Shower toiletries not fullfilled.. room mirror was very dirty. There was also a musty stinch in the air. Throughout the hotel there were scuff marks and discolorations up and down the walls. No body cleaned up the outdoor area while I was staying. I stayed two weeks, but went home on weekends.
On a better note, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Margie from the kitchen. Her friendliness made my stay much better.
Her breakfast area and kitchen were spotless! Definitely 5 star! Maybe she could manage the staff to get that place whipped into shape.
Hospitality is definitely a great career choice for her!

Hotel is very short on help. The room was not up to my usual standards. The carpet was not clean food crumbs under the desk. The toilet seat did not fit the rim. No hot water was available Luke warm at best. Trash stayed out side room doors.pillows are very hot after a certain time.only 3 chairs are available pool area. No towels are in the pool area. Waited for hours for towels to be cleaned for the rooms. Food was always cold. My next stay will be at the Largo locations.

When I checked in I had to carry up my towels. The room was not stocked at all.

Newly Renovated Airport Hotel in the heart of the Piedmont Triad

Fair : Dog Barking

The Hotel was fine and roomy. Breakfast was ok, had to ask for hot water and tea numerous times as it was not out in the open. Can't serve yourself and have to wait for staff to serve you. Biggest complaint was a dog barking on my floor which was the third floor. I get pet friendly hotels but these rooms should be isolated to one area away from guests trying to sleep. The dog was barking all the time, I think the owners left the pet in the room by him/herself. Did call the front office and they said they would check on it but nothing happened.

Front Desk Personnel

Nasty, rude attitude by front desk upon checking in where the gentleman made me think he was the GM. Deactivated keys to 1 of my 2 rooms every morning.
Had to utilize guest relations daily with issues. Then Wayne the front desk clerk told a guest they could go sit on bench and smoke weed that's where he goes and this is very unprofessional and shouldn't have been said where my grandkids were. Then had to go down to get clean towels to shower and he's sitting in lobby with a female instead of behind the desk
