Let's begin with the concierge who checked us in just had a "high horse" attitude. Not nice and welcoming at all.
If they are ONLY going to offer valet parking, they need to have more staff for that, we had to wait a MINIMUM of 15min EVERY SINGLE TIME to get our car because the ONE person was so busy with everyone else, and the poor man was working hard and as fast as he could, but he couldn't keep up with all the guests, so please, either allow your guests to park their cars themselves, or have more staff to be able to go get their cars, don't have a huge line of people waiting on their cars while others are dropping it off for check in with one person. The property is great, very clean, modern. You just need better staff at the front desk, people who know customer service and how to treat people well and you need to have more staff for valet parking if you are going to force that on your guests, if not for that, would have been 5 stars.

Beautiful view of river

The view from our room on the riverside was beautiful, but overall the room was average. The bathroom was small and the tub/shower was showing some age. The only washcloth in the room was one marked “makeup”. My 6’4” son was pleased with the height of the shower head! The fitness center overlooks the river, which is nice, but no sanitizing wipes or spray were available. Even without COVID, that’s gross. Having a complimentary breakfast would be a plus. The bar noise was kinda loud and late, too. We were warned about the music show, but the crowd at the bar was after that. Not really worth what I paid, and my Reward Club member status was not acknowledged.

Felt messy underneath the glitz

I attribute at least a good portion of my issues with the hotel related to COVID (that is, people are out of practice engaging with guests). I found on the cleaning and lounge staff great - some of the others, not so much. It was the minor things that bothered me (internet connection, noise) ... if you want fancy, this is it - but don't expect them to know about the basics.

Not as good as the first time

This was our second stay at this hotel. Location is great with access to many walking trails and to the downtown core.
Standard breakfast is ok, but not good for anyone with allergies.
However, the room was not as clean as the first time, the hotel ran out of items like towels for the pool and the pool was unavailable for 3 out of the days we were there.
If it was for the hotel having a kitchen, I am not sure I would stay there again.

A lot to improve!

The location is perfect, near FSU and CollegeTown but the cleanliness of the room and corridors (3rd floor) was a complete failure.
Our room was not clean, including hairs on the bathtub and bathroom floor. The beds were not neat and look as if someone was laying in there before we arrived.
The front desk service was as expected but was the only moment we saw someone in there.

Facility needs maintenance

Room was not very clean. Only one towel in bathroom. Hotel needs some maintenance. Carpet and floor in hallways are in bad shape. Elevator is dirty. Breakfast selection was poor. Apples and oranges were terrible. Cereal selection was poor.

Rooms were ok, need some slight repairs to walls and base boards, tubs not the cleanest, had too many instances of items being removed from room before checkout; example, flowers, clothing. Lost and found wasn't helpful at all. So overall, customer service was poor.

Stay away from this Holiday Inn Express

This Holiday Inn Express has seen better days. The first room we checked into had mold and mildew in the bathroom shower. We were switched to another room and the bathroom was clean BUT the carpet was torn and ripped in sections. The hotel hallway walls and room doors are in dire need of a paint job.
Most of the employees were very friendly and the ladies in charge of the breakfast meal did an excellent job with the meal and the area was very clean.
It is shameful that Holiday Inn has allowed this hotel to fall into a state of disrepair. As a former Holiday Inn employee, it pains me to say this: Best to stay away from this hotel.

Our 4-star hotel in Aguascalientes is located across the street from Nissan and close to the industrial parks FINSA, PILA and Siglo XXI; just minutes away from major companies, with easy access to main highways, and only 15 minutes from the airport.
Our rooms feature air conditioning, high-speed internet access and a comfortable work area. Enjoy a wide variety of amenities, such as an outdoor swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center, restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. In addition, our business center offers printing, copying, scanning and faxing services, as well as a meeting room. In Holiday Inn Aguascalientes you can bring your pet, we are a pet friendly hotel.

*the room with one bed for disabled people that we got without asking for it, is a mess (no hot water, then no water pressure at the shower, not enough towels in the room, we had the bath flooded since the shower its so old, part of the roof fell down while closing the door).
* dirty pool, not enough sits and NO TOWELS! we asked for them and had no answer, we left the pool soaking wet with our baby shivering to the front desk and got not an effective answer from staff.
*food is expensive and plain
* we had no room ready when arrived and it was 4 pm, got the disabled people room instead.
* walls are so thin, it's like sharing the room with everybody
*kitchen got on fire it seems and and all of the smoke went straight to the restaurant so we left with our clothes smelling bad
