Horrible experience. If it were not for the Holiday Inn Vacation Package that my husband had purchased, we would have opted to return home. The front desk, the Holiday Inn Vacation team, and IHG customer service did not take any action regarding the problems we highlighted. This was our first Valentine's Day as a married couple, and we endeavored to stay away from the hotel as much as possible. I urge others to save their money and choose a different place to stay.

When we checked into our room there were hundreds of ants in the bathroom and entry way. We told the front desk and they said they would have maintenance set some traps. I asked if there was another room we could be moved to as it would take a day or two for traps to eliminate the ants. They said they were fully booked, as well as the rest of the hotels in town. I understand that is out of their control and that's okay. However, the solution was to offer us a complimentary bottle of water. That might be an acceptable resolution if our mini fridge wasn't working, but being that we were sharing our room with pests, it left us very disappoint that was in his words was "the best we can do".
I appreciated maintenance coming promptly to set traps, however when he walked in an upon seeing the ants said "you have too many" it confirmed to us this was a significant problem. In addition, the toilet would run continuously every time it was flushed, requiring us to open the top an manually unstick the float to get it to stop. Upon checking out we notified the front desk of the issue. Not as a complaint, but as an FYI so they could fix it for the next guest. We were told "okay, thanks" and I'm not convinced it was even going to be looked at. It would have been really easy for them to simply say I'm really sorry you had to deal with that, thanks so much for letting us know and we are going to get right on it. It just seemed like between the ants and the toilet issue nobody really cares about the guest experience.

We had booked a room for two nights with two queens, but instead got two doubles which was not enough bed space for our family of four, but we didn’t say anything because we were all on same floor as kids’ team. Our room faced the highway which was extremely loud making it difficult to sleep. Our room was never cleaned nor replenished with towels - we did not have a “Do not clean this rooom” tag on our door either. The phone in our room did not have a front desk button or a number to dial to get front desk, so we ended up reusing towels. The shower was spraying everywhere and the drywall ceiling accumulated water which makes you wonder about mold buildup.

One of the worst stays at a hotel I have ever expereinced

We stayed at the hotel on Saturday, February 22nd to attend a concert at the Bell auditorium. I picked the hotel because it was close to the venue and had a very reasonable rate. I also checked the reviews and everything seemed good.
However, this was one of the worst hotel stays I have experienced. 1. The hotel is under renovation and that was not mentioned when booking the the room. 2. Even though the room we stayed in had been renovated, the mattress was not new. It had a deep depression in the middle and it was impossible to sleep without rolling or sliding into the middle, so it was extremely uncomfortable. 3. The noise level of the room was unacceptable. You could hear people talking in the hall like they were in the room with you. 4. The coffee maker in the room did not work. It was a Keurig and there were pieces that were obviously missing. 5. There was no coffee in the lobby. 6. There was supposed to be a complementary full breakfast. The only thing available for breakfast was cereal and yogurt.
I would have addressed this with the staff on-site, however the line for the desk was 10 people and there was a sheriff's deputy behind the desk and no sign of an employee of the hotel.

I typically like to give the benefit of the doubt but the way this whole situation was handled is very unsettling. I will NOT be returning to this location and avoiding all other locations in the future. We found what we are 99% sure to be a hidden camera under our tv in our bedroom pointed straight at the bed. It was hidden to make it seem like a “sensor of some sort” on the device it says 54M4- everything I have looked up says its a hidden camera. My under age children, myself and my fiance were all changing in that room over the course of the THREE DAY STAY….. We were there for a dance competition and checked with the whole entire team and sent a picture of the device and NO OTHER ROOM HAD IT IN THERE!! The manager on duty left in the middle of doing the police report (sketchy if you ask me). This whole situation was handled poorly. And i still have not received my refund.

Check in was at 4pm but our room was not ready until 6, they had 2 people checking in about 10-15 guest at one point. When asked why the room wasn't ready they blamed it on housekeeping as if it was a different company and they had no control over it. They were obviously under staffed for the Mardi Gras weekend and we as the customers had to suffer for their poor planning. The employee at the counter who claimed her name was Asia, had an attitude as soon as we approach the counter as if she didn't care or didn't want to be there. Once we checked in we went up to the elevator and had to stand there for a few minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't take us to our floor. Luckily someone staying at the hotel instructed us on how to use it and made a comment on why we weren't told how to use it like she was. The toilet seat was loose to the point that it would move so much that it was hard to use. Overall it was a horrible experience and i will not book at this hotel ever again.

this was last night 23rd February Once again I booked on the IHG app , where it stated £71 all taxes and fees included Guess what I had to pay car park fees, so they were not included, so dont advertise , its called telling lies
Also i was in room 308, the noise outside the room, was a joke, I could not sleep, I was an noisey generator or coolent system, or something, I was so loud, on and off all night I could not sleep I complained 3 times, even going down to reception, and one bloke came to my room.
I stated I was not paying for this, they stated They would pass on to morning staff, Guess what checked out, nothing said, , I was too tired to argue. Its disgusting, they did not care, horrible people who treat customers like dirt not acceptable

room was dirty, hair in bed and bathroom, food on the walls, carpet stained and hole in door and wall. front desk did accommodate my complaint and switched me to a new room which was better, not great. Power went out due to snow storm- poor communication and direction as to what to do! couldn’t figure out how to get to main lobby to leave. Had to go through laundry room to get to main lobby!

Very run down hotel. Absolutely nothing like other Staybridges I have stayed in. The kitchen, bed and breakfast served were the only nice things about this hotel. The room smelled bad, the couch was so worn and stained we never sat on it. The bathroom had broken tiles and mildew. Kitchen island and bathroom counters had staining.
