The Holiday Inn Express Jamaica, New York. Close to John F, Kennedy International Airport, JFK. In addition to a world renowned International Airport, Jamaica New York in the burough of Queens is a great destination with easy access to New York City. Experience easy access on the JFK AirTrain or explore further via the Long Island Rail Road. The Holiday Inn Express Jamaica's location provides guests with easy access to great locations like The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store, King Manor Museum and Park, Resorts World Casino and many upscale shops. In addition to entertainment and many notable residents, the Holiday Inn Express Jamaica is close to the Federal Aviation Administration Eastern Regional offices, Social Security Administration, Food and Drug Administration and Nippon Cargo Airlines. When conducting business in the area we have a well appointed meeting room perfect for some board or client meetings. Location is perfect

It was very close to get to the airtrain to get back to the airport however I wasn’t to happy with the blanket and towels having holes and it spots . the lotion being half used from the previous guest . Other than that it was ok

I was expecting to impress my wife. It didn't happen in a 4 night stay. I will not spend money here again. I felt like I was a target to rip off.

It was a good stay

Our stay was good overall. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed overnight but the King had good enough amenities for an extended stay if needed. On the down side, the elevator was not working so we got downgraded from a studio on the third floor to an available suite on the first floor. We also saw some ants- enough to warrant keeping our suitcase off of the floor. No big deal seeing that we were only staying for one night. However, I likely would have requested a different room had we arrived earlier. The free coffee was rather good. We stayed there one time before about five years ago with no issues so I think that the ants were an isolated thing. I'd likely stay there again.

Mixed Experience – Some Good, Some Bad

I’m not really sure how to rate this hotel because there were both positives and negatives during my stay. On the good side, the beds were soft and clean, which made for a comfortable sleep. However, there were several issues that made the experience frustrating.

I requested a late check-out, but despite that, housekeeping came in three different times. Later, I found out the front desk never put my request in the system. This is the second hotel I’ve stayed at with the same issue, which was disappointing.

To add to that, the towels were not in the best condition—one of them had hair on it, and the tub was stopped up, which was inconvenient.

Overall, the stay had its moments, but with these repeated issues, I’m not sure I’d return unless improvements are made.

Absolutely horrible

Only booked the room because my kids wanted to go swimming, paid for everything and then was told their pool was closed and we wouldn’t be given a refund. Horrible customer service!!

Brutal shuttle experience + a deposit charged and not refunded

Our booking was only for 1 night, a short layover between flights. The service was less than stellar.
1. After 4 phone calls, various different answers to the same question, and 45 minutes standing in -18 temps. waiting for a shuttle we gave up and got a cab - still waiting a week later for a response to our request for reimbursement
2. - this is called an airport hotel but is nowhere near the airport
3. - DID manage to get a shuttle ride back to the airport at 4am after specifically reserving it before we went to bed
4. - once home, discovered that the $50 security deposit was charged to my credit card and not refunded
5. - staff, for the most part, unresponsive - they deferred to their manager and he has not called nor returned calls at all We kept our cool and have not been rude - maybe we should be ....
All in all a lot of headaches for a 7 hour stay. We should have just slept at the airport

Catfish

Looks good in pics, but in person, not so much. Everything in the building looks worn out. The elevators are loud and the doors squeak. There was hair all over the walls In the shower. The bathroom fan didn’t work. The tv remote was disgustingly filthy. There was no papers or signs in the room with any information such as Wi-Fi, tv channels, amenities, etc. I had to ask where the laundry room was and one of the washers didn’t work. There’s a big picture in the lobby of someone eating breakfast but they don’t offer breakfast. Security gates in the parking lot that don’t work.

Could have been better but was close enough for our needs

Running up and down the halls the first night. Second and third nights we heard the music from the speaker at the entrance all night even after asking front desk to turn it down. That speaker is right outside of rooms. Pool and hot tub were very dirty so we did not utilize them but wanted to. Cleaning staff items from the room and we did not have them returned to us u til a day after our complaint. We were told it got wrapped up in the sheets, but it was a bright maroon and sheets are white. Also it was on the counter not even in the bed. Breakfast did not come with our room which is odd because it should be for everyone and the room I planned was not an available for our 1st night so I was told they upgraded us. Therefore should have come with breakfast.
